LOLO WATCHED WITH teary eyes as john b crouched over sheriff peterkin, begging her to stay alive.
'don't try it, asshole.' rafe threatened as he noticed john b grabbing peterkins radio.
'no, rafe, stop!' ward said, slowly pulling the gun away from his sons grip.
rafe's eyebrows furrowed when he noticed that lolo was still here, 'get in the car, lolo.' he whispered to the girl who was hiding behind the plane tyre. she scoffed, backing away from him as a tear fell from her eye, 'i'm not getting in the car with you.'
he clenched his jaw and ran a hand through his hair, 'damn it, just get in the car, my dad is gonna see you.'
a small sob escaped lolo's lips as she hopped into the car as quietly as she could.
'she was gonna blow his head off,' rafe mumbled under his breath, reassuring himself that he did what he had done for a good reason, 'yeah. she was gonna kill him.'
lolo watched as the boy hyperventilated, blinking rapidly and breathing heavily.
'i get why you did it,' she said softly.
rafe sniffled, 'you do?'
'you just want to be loved by your dad. right?' lolo spoke, her voice barely a whisper as she stared at rafe with an understanding expression.
'yeah, i do.' he sighed, a tear falling from his eye before he looked over to the brunette next to him, 'why are you being nice to me, lolo?'
she shrugged, 'i guess i just understand how you feel now, why you're the way you are. i know what it's like to have a dad that doesn't love you the same he loves your siblings.' she let out a small chuckle, 'i would have done anything for him to treat me the way he treated john b.'
rafe nodded, a small smile on his face due to the fact someone had finally told him what he needed to hear. 'yeah,'
rafe sighed as he looked at the picture in his hands sadly. it was him and his father stood next to each other with bright smiles on their faces. it was three years ago now, and he'd do anything to go back in time just to experience the healthy relationship he once had with ward, the kind of relationship he believes he'll never have or deserve again.
'you're gonna have to hide somewhere. my dad doesn't know you came back with me and he'll be here any minute.' rafe said to the girl who was zoned out and anxiously bouncing her leg up and down.
he placed a hand on her knee to stop her and snap her our of her thoughts. 'lo.'
lolo flinched before processing what he told her, 'oh, yeah, right.'
'go behind the couch.'
'okay,' she whispered before hopping over the couch and laying down on her stomach, just in time as ward cameron entered the room with a loud sigh.
'is she alive?' rafe stuttered nervously, getting silence as a response. 'no?'
'no.'
'what did you- what did you tell the cops? are they coming here?'
'i told them john b did it.'
lolo furrowed her eyebrows as she listened, anger bubbling up inside of her.
'told them john b did it,' rafe sighed to himself before clicking his fingers, 'yes, that could work.'
'rafe. i need you to go to your room okay? clean up. take a shower, if anyone asks if you were here, say you were at home, all day, doing maintenance on the druthers.'
lolo started crawling towards the slightly open door whilst the cameron's weren't looking as they were too busy arguing about sarah knowing what had happened.
'you understand, right? why i did it.' rafe said from inside the room, a tear falling from his eye, 'you were in trouble, and i was protecting you.'
'look at me, dad. rafe. not sarah, okay? it was me.'
'i'm sorry rafe. i love you. i love you, rafe, so much.'
lolo sighed, deciding she couldn't listen anymore. she stormed into rafe's room and slumped down into his bean bag. ward didn't actually care about rafe, neither was he grateful for what his son had done for him.

'i saw lolo get into the car with rafe.' john b said bitterly.
'did they force her?' jj raised an eyebrow, clenching his jaw at what he had just heard.
the routledge shrugged with an emotionless expression, 'she looked perfectly fine to me.'
'i can't believe her.' kie spat, glaring at the floor, 'how could she do to this us? no, how could she do this to her own brother?'
pope sighed, 'guys, i don't think lolo could do this to us. maybe she has something planned out. give it time.'
'well, she has been getting friendly with rafe recently.' john b muttered.

lolo sighed as she stepped out of the car with rafe. john b had apparently been found in kelce's house.
'remember the fallen, sheriff!' rafe yelled, glancing around with slight fear in his eyes.
'kill the son of a bitch!'
the routledge took a shaky breath as she waited for the cops to return, biting her lip nervously.
'he went out at the back!' shoupe shouted as him and two other officers ran out of the house with guns in their hands, 'i want three deputies to hit the backyard now!'
lolo stopped tugging at the roots of her hair suddenly when she made eye contact with her brother who was peeking at her from behind a car. a tear slipped from her eye as she felt slight guilt, but she shook the feeling away and began following rafe from behind again, ignoring the fact she had just seen john b routledge, her missing brother who was wanted for murder.
'rafe, somebody set off the alarm,' kelce said as the car in-front of them started beeping. john b must had thrown something over.
'yo, i heard the bell!' rafe said before grabbing lo's and kelce's arms to drag them to the bell tower with him. 'guys, maybe we should leave it..' lolo stuttered, tugging at rafe's arm in an attempt to stop them checking inside.
kelce groaned, 'there could be a murderer inside. c'mon, we can turn him in.'
'no. lets smoke him out.' rafe murmured, flicking his lighter on and kneeling next to the wooden ladder.
'rafe, think about this,' lolo warned, her voice barely a whisper. kelce stared at rafe with wide eyes, 'what are you doing, man?'
'cmon, cmon!' rafe yelled as he ran away from the fire that was slowly growing. lolo backed away slowly, wondering wether she should go up to help or not, but she didn't. she followed rafe.
a shouting crowd was now formed around the burning building, lolo watching with fear in her eyes.
'that's him, the killer!' someone yelled as a person slowly revealed themselves with their hands covering their face.
'shit,' lolo whispered under her breath as all the cops immediately pointed their guns at him
'dont shoot!' the boy pleaded, 'it's topper, it's topper alright? just put the guns down!'
