Rose slowly twisted her doorknob open inside her house and noticed it was silent. There was no noise made, not even the slightest sound, everything was quiet. She felt strange and alone inside her heart. Why was so quiet inside the house? Did her parents go out?

She looked around the room, and found some drip of blood from the living room carpet, leading to the kitchen. Why was there blood everywhere from the carpet in the living room?

She followed the stains and noticed a ... body.

She screamed, covering her mouth with her bare hands, her mother was lying down on the ground, a knife stuck to her stomach.

"Mom!" she yelled shakily, kneeling instantly to her mother, but she was dead, and she was too late to talk to her.

Then, someone approached her, his shirt stained with blood, and her father killed his wife, why would he do such a thing?

"Why?!" she said, tears running down her eyes as she said it aloud to her father, "Why would you do this to my mom? She was the only one I had to support me!" she said, her voice cracking.

"I-I'm so sorry, I lost my temper, sweetheart -- "

"Sweetheart? Since when did you care for me?! You always called me a brat, useless thing, stupid and arrogant daughter! I was nothing to you! Just a piece of plastic child!" she said, tears streaming down her eyes instantaneously.

"I'm s-sorry!" he said, breaking down into tears, kneeling to his daughter, but she stood up, and reached for the phone.

"Don't, please, we can talk this out, Rose." he used his daughter's name for the first time in his life.

" 'Talk this out?' " she chuckles, wiping her tears away, "I tried to talk it out to you for years!  But you backed me up! Like as if I was disturbing you or what! What am I?! Just your servant?! Just a slave to help you serve as a king?!? I'm tired, dad!" she said, tears rolling down her cheeks in pace. "I wanted normal lives like Missy and the other girls! But never, in my life, had a perfect family dinner, or lunch, or breakfast at least once!!" she screamed at the top of her lungs.

He shakily stood up, slowly approaching her, "Please." he begged.

"Sorry," she dialled 911.

"911, What's your emergency?" said the telephone dialer.

"Address Morella Avenue in Valley Village, Texas. House 5501." she whispered, "Please, hurry."

Police cars surrounded the area and investigators were there to figure out the crime scene since Rose was unable to speak after what happened. Her father was yelling from the police's car. It was all over the news, and she was going to be hated for sure.

"What happened here?" said Mrs Cooper, the rest of her family behind her.

"A murder happened here, Rose's mother died from her father, the main victim, and Rose was there at the crime scene, however, she is unable to speak, so please, you may check on her if you know her." he lets them in.

They approached her, hugging her (Mrs Cooper and Missy), asking her what happened and why was she unable to speak. Rose just stared at her feet, not speaking up.

"I-I need some space, please." she shakily replied.

The police officer walked towards them, "Sadly, since her family are all mostly dead, someone must take care of her, and no one, even her close relatives is free to take care of her." he replied.

"W-We'll do it!" Mr Cooper said.

"Are you sure, sir?" he said.

"I can agree with you, George! Yes, she can move in with us," Mrs Cooper said.

"Another child? Great," Connie replied with boredom in her tone.

"very well, we appreciate you for letting her take it into your home. We have to go solve our crime scene, if you excuse us," the police officer left them alone.

"Let's go home, shall we guys?" Mrs Cooper replied.

Rose barely touched her food, the rest stayed quiet, trying to start up a conversation, but none did.

Eventually, it was nearly 9:00, and Missy went back to her room, along with Rose behind her. Sheldon went to his room, and the rest did the same.

Missy tried to encourage and support Rose to feel better and more energetic, but Rose said she was tired and wanted some good night's sleep.

As she rested her head on her pillow, for the first time, it felt soft, the mattress felt smooth, and her position looked cosy. She felt comfortable, and slightly smiled, but didn't manage to sleep well.

Getting up, slowly tip-toed on her way out, gently closed the door and headed downstairs to make herself some tea. She knew how to, and Mrs Cooper left the ingredients on the table for Rose.

Sheldon, however, couldn't rest well either, he got up, and put on his dark-blue robes to cool himself up. He went out too, going out to the backyard, and sat down at the swing to gaze upon the stars. Looking at the stars isn't his natural thing to do, but since he was different, counted up the stars, eve though he knew snow was hitting him, and calculated the light used from the stars and the moon --

"Hey," replied a soft, high-pitched voice.

Sheldon almost fell from his swing, gasped slightly and saw Rose, who was holding a cup of tea.

"Rose, what are you doing here?" he asked her, trying to get out of the conversation.

"What are you doing here? I thought you wanted to get some good sleep and get healthy," she jokingly said.

"I needed some space, a bit," he said, as she sat down on the swing beside him, he slowly lifted his head to look at her with sympathy, "Hey, I'm sorry for you Mom and Dad. Losing your mom must have hurt," he said, his voice slightly cracking.

She sighed, looking down at her feet, "it did," she said shakily, and a tear rolled down her cheek, sniffing. "I didn't want to lose her, she was the only one I trusted with my whole heart," she looked up at him, her eyes filled up with tears. "I have no one," she started to sob quietly, looking down to the ground.

"Not really," he said truthfully.

She sniffed, wiping her eyes with her sleeves, "w-what do you m-mean?" she shakily whimpered.

"You have us," he said.

She cheered up a bit, noticing she still had Missy, Mrs Cooper, Sheldon and the rest of his family. "Yeah, I haven't lost all of you," she said, her voice sounding a bit cheery.

Sheldon smiled, noticing he cheered her up, she looked up to his eyes, filled with tender appreciation from her beaming eyes to his. Snow was falling, and this was getting more romantic than ever. His heart beat a bit fast, his breath paced and felt his stomach ... filled with new feelings he hardly even knew. What was he feeling?

"Thank you, Sheldon, for being my friend," she said happily, her eyes sparkling from the night sky.

"It's no problem, me and my family are here no matter what," he replied.

They both stayed up there, under the snow, talking silently and making fun of each other, they enjoyed their alone time together, and they wanted to do it again.
