Rose had not spoken up all these past weeks, well, she spoke to Missy and Sheldon quite often. But Rose needed some space.

Silently, she borrowed a book from the library, and slowly, she ate her food from the cafeteria as she read her book significantly and quietly. The book was about family issues, which she could relate to because she is going through it too.

It was a normal class, and after passing her exams, and getting 90 and above grades. She was only, the top one in class, the rest getting 60 and below, which was not a good grade you'd get, they'd probably get a D or... F.

As she went to open her locker, there was a letter, and she opened it up to see she was invited to someone's party she barely even knew. Someone may be inviting the whole school, and she was kind of surprised.

It was happening in a few days, and it said to wear something pretty and casual. She wanted to wear a cute skirt, and would probably go into her parent's room to see if her mother kept any skirts and cute crop tops that had long sleeves.

She found some black skirt, and some classic crop top -- and it was definitely gonna suit her for sure.

She arrived at the place, it was filled with a lot of limited people inside, she was actually surprised it happened at 5:00 because her mum had no idea she was invited to a party.

(the outfit she wore just to remind you)

She then sees Missy and her twin brother, their mother forcing his son to go to the party with his sister.

"But, I don't want to have fun!" he complained, "I'd rather do my scientific investigation than this!" he yelled.

"I want you to socialize with other people or else-- oh hey, Rose!" Mrs Cooper greeted her with a smile instantly.

"Oh, hello, Mrs Cooper," she bowed obediently, smiling slightly.

Sheldon notices Rose -- who instantly notices himself staring at her while his mother and she chat for a while. His sister went inside, he had never felt this before, but he had started to notice he may had a bit of ... crush on her.

"Well, why don't you lead Sheldon inside? I have to catch up on something," Mrs Cooper says.

"Sure!"

As Mrs Cooper kisses Sheldon goodbye, causing him to groan, he then starts to speak up as they walk inside.

"You know, if you wear that to school, it's against the dress code," he replied.

"Really? I had no idea," she says in an annoying voice.

"No, I'm serious," he says in a stern voice.

"Well, we aren't in school, it says wear anything you want that looks civilian -- and why are you wearing Albert Einstein's favourite business suit?" she asked him.

He gasped in shock, "it was a surprise for you and you spoiled it," he said shockingly.

"Oh, silly Sheldon," she mumbled.

They entered the mansion, and the house was on fire (what I mean is that it's their full energy of them blasting their song and getting drunk) right now, she noticed it house was full of seniors, and she was only a junior herself. Sheldon was no longer a senior, and may represent himself as an early adult instead.

"This place is a disaster," Sheldon said, looking at others who were twerking and he groaned disgustingly.

"I can agree with your opinion. Let's get out of here," she said and went out to the front yard.

They sat down beneath the sun setting, nearly 7:00. They didn't say anything until Sheldon did.

"Fun fact about sunsets; When the sun is low on the horizon during sunrises and sunsets, the sunlight travels through more of the atmosphere. Shorter wavelength colours, which are blues and violets, get scattered out. This leaves more of the longer wavelength colours like yellow, orange, and red. This is why sunrises often take on such colours." he said, gazing at the sun, even though it hurts from the eyes.

"Really? That sounds ... tempting to memorize," she looks down at her feet, nervously fidgeting her fingers.

"I heard from Missy you were top of class, was it true?" he gazes at her.

"Yeah, I am top of class," she answered nervously, "I really don't like studying a lot these days," she said truthfully.

"Then how are you top of class?" he tilts his head at her, "Why do you study when you don't like to?"

"I study because ... I want to be perfect," she said, pursuing her lips, "I want to make my father proud, and  I wish that he would say one good word about me, he never compliments me anymore, and I miss it." her eyes slowly filled with watery ones.

"That must be hard for you..." he said. He felt bad for her, he never knew her family problems, but maybe he was getting his answers after all.

"It is, him yelling and abusing me every day hurts me a lot, I miss him being happy for me and supporting me until I am of age," she said shakily, a tear rolling down her cheek, "I miss him being sweet to me, I want his old personality back, I miss my old dad before," she then looks at him, the sun beaming from her eyes, making it sparkle, "you're lucky your dad supports you because I don't. I wish I was you, Sheldon because I want to feel like once, like a perfect family." she then broke down into sobs, looking down so he couldn't see her crying.

Sheldon now felt sombre for her, he slowly reached his hand to pat her on the back, supporting her a bit, he listened to her, and he could feel her emotions inside. Rose was hurt and needed someone to support her until she was okay.

"I'm so sorry for being such a crybaby," she sniffed, swiftly wiping her tears away.

"Should we go home? I know the way back home," he said softly, his voice deep as it was ever.

"What about M-Missy?" she said shakily.

"I'm here -- " she said out of nowhere, and noticed Rose's tears, "Hey, what happened? Someone bully you?"

Rose shook her head in reply, "I'm fine, your brother was there for me, anyways," she smiled at him with empathy and appreciation.

And so, the three went home, Sheldon felt a tingle inside his heart when she smiled at him.
