Backstory: When he had just hatched, Wineberry's mother was not watching over her nest. While the Bigwings of the group was busy cracking the other eggs in the clutch, newly born Wineberry tumbled out of the small crater he had been laid in- and into a puddle of scalding hot mud. Thankfully, his mother arrived just in time to save him from death, but his soft and tender just-exposed-to-the-world scales were burned to the point of falling off. He is now scaleless, but he has a great skincare routine so he is always smooth and glossy.
