Reader's pov

Shanic was still in dreyfus's room sleeping with him soundly it was still dark out when they went to sleep.

While she slept in his bed she started to groan out a little having a dream of her parents, the dream wasn't good though but it also wasn't bad either. She had turn around in her sleep which cause dreyfus to hold her in his arms a bit tightly

Shanic's pov

It was a sunny day in leonis (sorry for my shitty spelling) and it was another day to train the boys like i always do which i dont mind cause i always thought of them as my little brothers

"ok grimore, howzer and gil time to train!" i said smiling proudly placing both hands on my hips, this was the time i actually did like to wear dresses

But didn't plan on wearing one since I'll be training with them so this was my outfit for today "ok today's train well be, if you can touch me while attacking them I'll treat you to anything you want!" i said to them "really!" all three of them said which i nodded to keeping my smile

"this well be hand to hand combat though in case you lose your sowrd or something, so try to touch me wherever" i told them which they all nodded to and so they all started to attack me as i dodge them all "if you are not able to do it at the end of the day then same thing tomorrow got it?" i said to them as i kept dodging them one at a time then howzer came with fly kick which i dodge but then bump into dreyfus "hmpf..Oh dreyfus, hi" i said smiling

He smile at me softly as he repose to "hello shanic, i see your training with the boys i see" he says to me which i nodded to saying yes then i saw hendrickson walking towards us which got my face burning red "ah morning shanic, how are you?" he had ask me, i was about to answer but the three boys tackle me "ack!" was all that came out "we got you!" howzer said

I sigh a bit then dreyfus and hendrickson help me up as dreyfus scolled (dk how to spell it) the three boys hendrickson and i were just watching not knowing if we should help them or not though i did say if they land an attack on me i would get them something whatever they want, so i explain to dreyfus of that which he sigh to but nodded his head as he cross his arms over his chest which i smile softly then turn my glance to the boys telling them they did a good job but still need work on hand to hand combat.

I told them to wait for me in town where all the shops were, since dreyfus and hendrickson have been busy so much i wanted to talk to them for a bit, everything was ok until hwndrickson said "you look cute shanic, the blue looks really good on you" he says which made me blush brightly red if possible "by the way shanic, when are your parents coming back?" dreyfus ask me

Its been two weeks since my partners left to go on a mission with lord zaradras (sorry for my spelling) "tomorrow i think" i told him "i see, ok then" he says to me with a smile which i smile back at him, i told them i should find the boys now and the two ask me if they'd come along which i said yes though my face wouldn't stop turning red every time hebdrickson and i share a glance and how he'd always compliments me

Once we found the boys they all smile at us, i kept my promise and got them whatever they want, surprisingly they just wanted candy though they are just kids, griamore share some chocolate with me, dreyfus and hendrickson while howzer had a lollipop, thought gil didnt have his candy which was sweet balls (not like that just to inform u all) "your not going to have your candy gil?" i ask him

"h-huh! I-i well..Later.." he says shyly looking away 'ahh~ innocent crush..How cute~' i said in my head smiling, right now it beginning to be come the afternoon and i believe meliodas and his team comes back today.

(short time skip)

It was evening now, me and the guys were still out eating, im not a good cook likw ban is just that well..He's like a god when he cooks which is so unfair

Soon after we were done, hendrickson pay for the food and drinks which i told him i could do it but refuse, i was a year or two younger from hendrickson but both of us were still ok to drink ale, anyways we didnt drink much to get drunk so dreyfus bought a few bottles for us to take home

I was about to leave to go home then i saw lord zaratras coming back "ah! Lord zaratras!" i ran to him smiling.

Reader's pov

Zaratras look up to see who was calling him and it was shanic his face had sorrow as he sees her running to him "hey! I thought you wouldn't be coming back until tomorrow" she says smiling softly

"shanic..I-" "are my parents back at home already?" she cuts him off by askint a question then she saw the deadly sins "hi guys welcome back" she says, zaratras went to talk to hendrickaon and dreyfus quickly as she talks to the sins for bit

"what?!.." dreyfus said luckily shanic didn't hear him "I'm going to tell her but i wanted to let you two know first.."

Then she ran off back home "see you guys tomorrow!" she yells out "shanic wait!" he yells out to her as he ran after her "hm? How come mio and takashi wasn't with him?"

Dreyfus and hendrickson told him why and the other sins as well while zaratras ran after shanic before she reach her home

"shanic please wait! I need to tell you something!" he yells to her trying to catch up to her, once she reaches her house she open the door and call out her mom and dad but no one answered her "maybe their out eating? Been awhile since dad took mom out on a date heh" she says giggling softly

She was about to go to look for them until one of the knights show up before zaratras "lady shanic..We came here to apologize for your lose.." they said bowing down on their knees "and to Congratulate you on becoming the next protector of the grand master, lord zaratras" he says she stood quite for a moment until zaratras had came by finally

"wait..Haha funny but i cant unless my parents have..." she try to keep her smile and think of this as a joke fighting against her tears soon the sins along with dreyfus and hendrickson came by, they saw how much she try to fight against this and her tears "forgive me lady shanic...But You are now the new protector of lord zaratras now, we've got word from of the knights who went with him and your parents on the dangerous mission, saying how protect him from death with their lives..Once again..Im sorry, your mother and father were brave, kind, strong-" as he went on shanic kept denying the fact that her parents are dead

Her breathing became heavy and hard, her tears slowly coming out sliding down her cheeks 'n-no...No...NO!' she ran away to look for them "shanic!" one of them call out to her but she ignore them

'i-i wont believe it!! Mom..Dad! Please you have to be here!!!' she yells in her head, she made it half way to the entrance of the gates for leonis but stop as she fell on her knees overhelm by her tears that fell onto her lap as she sat there crying "mom..Dad..YOU CANT LEAVE ME PLEASE!!!" she yells tilting her head up as she cries some more with overhelm by sadness, depression and somewhat anger but didn't know why

Shanic's pov

I shot up screaming then pant heavily crunching my shirt tightly as i was still in bed with dreyfus feeling my heart pound nonstop feeling my cold tears sliding down my cheeks as my body shivers from the bad dream i just had

Soon i felt a warm hand on my shoulder which i reacted to by turning suddenly seeing it was dreyfus "shanic what happen?.." he ask worriedly 'i probably shouldn't tell him..' i said in my head "j-just a bad dream is all..Sorry lord dreyfus.." i said turning away as i wipe away my tears

Sniffling a bit i try to fight against my tears some more since they kept rolling and sliding down my cheek "shanic..I-..Hm, i wont force you to tell me and i wont keep asking but..If i dont know then..How can i help you in any way i can?.." he says to me as he hugs me from behind while still on his bed "but..Can i ask what happen in your bad dream?.." he ask "that made you cry this much.." he then added

My tears came out overhelm now just like back then "i-it..Was a-about my...P-parents...Im sorry..Im sorry.." i said as i couldn't take it now i just wanted someone to be there for me now, he turn me around hugging me tightly for dear live as i hug him back

It continue until i finally calm down then pass out in his arms sleeping in his bed once again, my breathing was calm and settle now but my eyes tired from crying so much which got me to sleep.

Dreyfus's pov

Shanic had finally calm down and went back to sleep with me holding her in my embrace, i blush a little from this

I petted her head slowly as she slept in my arms feeling her breath against my bare chest, guess we both forgot i slept in just my boxers but she was overwhelmed with depression and that so makes since.

"I'll protect you..Even if it causes my own life..Cause im not going to lose anyone who means more to me..I lost my wife (dont know what happened to her. Only saw her in one episode and thats it,) then my son..But i cant lose you now.." i said as i then kiss her forehead softly

As i then went to sleep cuddling her close to me.
