"Alexei?" You asked sort of out it.

"Well, this is a pleasant reunion." He said slightly awkwardly.

You suddenly hopped into his arms wrapping him in your own after not seeing him in so long. Then it suddenly hit you.

"I thought Dreykov threw you in a prison, what happened to you?"

"He did...Yet you escaped punishment, no?" He asked mockingly.

"Yes I did, but I begged you to go west with me and you refused" you said defending yourself.

"I know, I know. I should have taken you up on your offer, I see that now, Y/n."

You missed the way he said your name. You missed him dearly, you still remember the day you pleaded him to come with you and leave your old lives behind. Now losing yourself in thought remembering that moment.

"Alexei, please come with me...We can leave all this behind, The Red Room, The missions, Dreykov, all of it." You begged him with all your heart, you couldn't leave him behind.

"My darling, you know I can't they'll find me. You stand a better chance alone." He said in a hurt tone of voice.

"I don't care if I have to run for the rest of my life at least I can have you." As the words came out of your mouth you started sobbing. "Please." You pleaded once more with tears now in your eyes.

"I can't leave with you, My love. But I will promise you this...I will find you and we will be together again" He ended with tears now in his eyes as well.

After all these years...He kept his promise

"Y/n? My darling?" You heard Alexei say.

That's when you snapped out of your trance.

"You kept your promise." You said with tears welling in your eyes from both the memory and the heartfelt moment you were living now.

"Of course I did...I couldn't leave you all alone could I?" He said half joking and the other half genuinely worried about you. "That whole time I was in there...All I thought of was you. The only on my mind was finding a way to see you, My love." He finished now getting emotional too.

"Alexei?" You asked.

"Yes, Darling?" He responded.

"Please don't leave me again...I don't know if I could bear it a second time." You said in a small voice.

"I couldn't dream of it, Love"
