(Ashish snapped to the present when he heard his phone ring. It was Aarav. He answered it.)

Ashish: Yo bro!!!

Aarav: ( crying ) Yaar Ashu!!!

Ashish: Kya hua?!?!

Aarav: Ady...

Ashish: Ranisa ko kya hua?!

Aarav: Uska accident hua aur....

(He ended the call. Ashish called Simran and told her to reach there. She agreed. Ashish, Muskan and Jadoo reached the hospital and found Aarav. He was broke.)

Aarav: She is in the OPD with the doctor. Boht khoon beh raha hai. Doctor said bachne ke chances boht kam hai.

Aarav: I have been sitting since half an hour.

(They went to the other corner to speak. Simran had reached by now. The doctor said something. Aarav's eyes widened. He fell back on the chair. Ashish saw him. He was anxious to know what was going on. The doctor kept his hand on Aarav's shoulder, said something and went away. Ashish ran to Aarav and stood beside him.)

Ashish: Bhai kya hua? Aditi theek toh hai na?

Aarav: Aditi theek hai.

Ashish: Toh teri shakal pe 12 kyu baje hai?

Aarav: ( looked at him with red eyes ) Woh... woh p..

Ashish: Kya?

Aarav: Doctor ne kaha woh pregnant thhi.

Ashish: KYA?!?!

Aarav: Haa!!! Aur accident ke wajah se...... she lost the child.

Ashish: Ranisa.

(No response.)

Ashish: I love you.

(No response.)

Ashish: I am sorry. I cant live without you. I am soooo sorry we lost our first child. Sorry Ranisa. Please wake up. Ranisa.

(Ashish obviously got no response. Her body lay on the bed, still. He gripped her hand tightly. He touched her hand on his forehead and broke down. He kept crying until his eyes felt dry. He cried out the guilt and sadness. All he wanted right now was Aditi by his side. He needed her. And he was not ready to leave her side. Everyone tried getting him home but his stubbornness won. He held her hand for the entire time. The next day he was forced to return home. He didnot eat anything the whole day. Around 5 in the evening, he got a call from Aarav.)

Ashish: Hello?

Aarav: Ashu mujhe abhi hospital se call aaya thha. Ady has gained consciousness.

Ashish: Mai pohoch raha hu hospital.

Aarav: Ok.

(Ashish rushed to the hospital. He reached her ward and found Aditi lost in her thoughts, her hand on her stomach. Ashish immediately understood what she was thinking.)

Ashish: Ranisa.

(Aditi turned towards him. Ashish ran to her and hugged her. She broke down in his embrace. He consoled her but in vain.)

Aditi: Raunak!! I lost our kid.

Ashish: Shh!!! Ranisa. Calm down.

Aditi: I cant. How can I?

Ashish: I wish you could have told me. Ab tak humari engagement bhi ho gayi hoti.

Aditi: I was scared. Mujhe laga ki tum mujhe chhod ke jaoge.

Ashish: Aisa kabhi nahi hoga.
