𝔾𝕖𝕟𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕖𝕧𝕖 𝕃𝕠𝕔𝕜 was born in 1895 and raised in Small Heath, Birmingham where she lived in a small coal smoke blackened house in Garrison Court with her family. 

Gennie Lock has known the Shelby family for as long as she can remember, and for as long as she can remember they have been nothing but kind to her, perfect gentlemen in a time when less than perfect gentlemen are more often the case. Thomas Shelby affectionately names her "little Gennie Lock from down the lane" when they are no more than ten years old, and the name sticks, as does the sentiment.
