"Soul it's time to go." My father says knocking on my bedroom door.

"In a minute." I reply packing a few things for the journey.

I slide on my outfit.

I've collected many clothing and accessories from every nation. I knew some day I would be able to wear them.

I look around my room one last time before leaving.

"I'm gonna miss this place," I mumble, staring out my window, I've always had the best view of the tribe.

I miss Yue.

I hear a faint knock on my door. "Come in,"

"Hey, Soul." Sokka says opening my door, sliding through it awkwardly.

"Oh, hi, Sokka. Sorry if I'm taking too long, I'm almost done I-"

"No, it's okay, you're fine."

He sits on my bed observing my room.

"Your rooms really nice and uh you look huh nice," Sokka stutters, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"Why, thank you," I curtsy.

"Shall we go my lady," Sokka says attaching our elbows together.

I laugh. "Lead the way my good man."

Master Pakku hands Katara an amulet. "Katara, I want you to have this. This amulet contains water from the spirit oasis, the water has unique properties. Don't lose it."

"Thank you, Master Pakku." Katara says hugging him.

"Aang, these scrolls will help you master water bending. But remember, they're are no substitute for real master."

Aang looks over at Katara.

"Sokka."

Sokka walks forward smiling.

"Take care, son," Pakku says patting his shoulder.

I couldn't help but laugh. I felt bad though.

"Soul, your father wanted me to give you this," Master Pakku says handing me a necklace and a ring.

I observe the items.

"Your father was going to surprise you and Yue with sun and moon necklaces and rings, but-"

"Yeah, I know she turned into the moon."

He slowly nods his head.

I slide the ring on my finger.

"It's beautiful." Katara awes.

Sokka helps me up on Appa.

"Fly straight to the Earth Kingdom based to the east of here. General Fung will provide you with an escort to Omashu. There you will be safe. To begin your eathbending training with King Bumi."

"Appa, yip-yip!" Aang says whipping Appa reins.

"Say hi to gran gran for me." Katara yells as we soar away.

*ೃ༄ *ೃ༄ *ೃ༄

"Hey, Katara can you put this on for me?" I ask handing Katara my necklace.

"Of course."

I move my hair to the side so Katara could clip the necklace.

"How do I look?"

"Beautiful." Katara says admiring me in awe.

"Thanks." I blush.

It felt like we've been flying forever. I think I'm going to be sick.

Sokka could tell I was uncomfortable so he slid closer to me.

"Hey," he says rubbing my back soothingly. "My first time riding Appa I felt like I was going to throw up too."

"Is that supposed to make me feel better?!" I scoff crawling over to Katara.

I felt terrible for yelling at him, he was just trying to comfort me.

I hear Sokka mutter some not so nice words as he sighs on the edge of Appa's saddle.

"There it is!" He then yells pointing to a Earth Kingdom palace.

We land onto the podium. "Welcome Avatar Aang! I am General Fung," he says bowing along with his soldiers.

"And welcome to all of you great heroes. Appa, Momo, Brave Sokka, The Mighty Katara, and The Beautiful but Fierce Princess Soul."

"Mhm mighty Katara?" Katara smiles."I like that."

We heard fireworks go off. We all turned around facing the fireworks.

"Not bad, not bad." Sokka mutters.

"Avatar Aang we were all amazed at the stories of how you single handedly wiped out an entire fire navy fleet at the North Pole. I can't imagine what it feels like to wield such devastating power," General Fung says stroking his beard. "It's an awesome responsibility."

"I try not to think about it too much," Aang replies.

General Fung was talking but I wasn't really paying attention until I heard Aang yell.

"What?! No, I'm not."

Momo was snuggling against my neck and I couldn't help but take a short nap.

*ೃ༄ *ೃ༄ *ೃ༄

I heard the door open as I sat up from my nap.

"Huh, what happened?!" I ask looking around.

"You fell asleep earlier, I carried you to the room we're sleeping in," Sokka replies.

"Oh thanks." I blush, putting my hair in a high ponytail.

"I told the General I'd help him...by going into the avatar state."

"Aang, no, this is not the right way." Katara scolds.

"Why not? Remember when he took out the fire navy, he was incredible," Sokka says.

"There's a right way to do this..practice, study, and discipline," Katara replies.

"Or just glow up and stop the Fire Lord," Sokka protests.

"What the spirits did I miss?"

"A lot!" the group yells at me.

"If you two meatheads want to throw away everything we've worked for fine go ahead and glow it up." Katara says storming out the room.

Aang calls after her. "Katara! I'm just being realistic. I don't have time to do this the right way."

Katara storms back in the room.

"Here to apologize?" Sokka asks crossing his arms.

"No! I just came back to grab Soul," Katara says angrily walking over to me and dragging me out of bed.

"Oh come on." I sigh.

After 3 failed attempts of trying to get Aang in the avatar state. We were all starting to get annoyed.

*ೃ༄ *ೃ༄ *ೃ༄

"Ahhh!" Aang gasps from his sleep.

"Sokka, Sokka wake up." I hear Aang whisper.

"Huh?"

"I don't think we should be trying to bring on the avatar state," Aang sighs.

"You sure?" Sokka replies.

"Yes."

"Ok." Sokka answers unbothered.

I let out a soft sneeze. "Ah-choo."

"Soul? You're up?!" Sokka says startled.

"Yeah, I could hear you guys whispering."

"Sorry," Aang apologizes. "But anyways do you think the General will be mad?"

"What can he say? You're the avatar. Who knows better than you." Sokka replies.

After they stopped talking I couldn't go back to sleep. I kept having these horrible dreams of Yue.

"Why didn't you save me Soul."

"You literally volunteered yourself, how is this my fault?" I reply.

"You're the worst sister ever!" Yue screams at me.

"Sokka, you awake?" I ask poking his stomach.

"Go to bed Soul." Sokka says swishing around in his bed.

"I can't, please can I..sleep with you?" I ask.

Sokka perks up from his sleep.

"Huh, yeah sure." He says rubbing his neck.

I crawl over him getting inside the covers. I feel him stiffen.

"Sokka cuddle me," I say turning over to face him.

"What?!" He replies.

"Can you cuddle me." I repeat.

"Okay." Sokka says wrapping his arms around my waist pulling me closer to his chest.

"Mhm much better." I sigh.

"I'm glad," Sokka whispers in my ear, sending weird chills down my spine.

"Goodnight," I murmur, nuzzling my face in his chest.

"Goodnight, Soul." Sokka replies, resting his face in my hair.

*ೃ༄ *ೃ༄ *ೃ༄

I wake up with no Sokka by my side. I let out a sigh.

"Oh, Soul you're up, you sleep a lot." Katara laughs.

I rub my face. "Have you seen Sokka?"

Katara's face lights up. "Yeah, I did and I saw you two sleeping together this morning when I woke up."

My cheeks begin to warm up. "Uh, yeah, I couldn't sleep so I huh-"

"No need to explain Soul, I know what's going on here," Katara smirks.

"You do?"

"Yeah you and Sokka-"

Katara gets cut off by rocks being thrown against the wall. We look at each other confused.

I grab my arrows as we bolt out the room, running down the stairs.

"What's going on?" Katara asks once we made it down the steps meeting Sokka.

Sokka throws his boomerang at the soldiers. "The General's gone crazy he's trying to force Aang in the avatar state."

"Haha good day to bring my bow and arrows with me." I say chugging my arrows at the soldiers.

I look to my right and see that Katara is surrounded by boulders all around her.

"Katara!" I shout charging at Fung, but he stops me, turning the ground into sand, sending both Katara and I sinking into the ground.

"I can't move!" I yell.

"Don't hurt them!" Aang shouts.

Aang charges at General Fung, throwing a gust of wind at him, but Fung ended up blocking it with a large boulder.

"Ahhhh!" Katara and I scream sinking deeper into the ground.

"Soul, Katara, no!" Sokka yells. He comes charging at General Fung with the ostrich horse.

Fung earthbends the ground beneath Sokka making him fall off the ostrich.

"Stop this! You have to let them go!"

"You could save them if you are in the avatar state." General Fung says.

"Really!" I shriek. " I'm in here because Aang won't go in the avatar state for you?"

"Shut it Princess!" Fung smears, making me sink deeper.

"I'm trying I'm trying," Aang cries.

"Aang, we're sinking!" Katara shouts.

"I don't see glowing." Fung grins.

"Soul, why aren't you saying anything?" Katara scolds.

"Aang, help we're gonna die!" I scream.

"You don't need to do this!" Aang pleads, going on his knees.

"Apparently, I do." Fung says sinking Katara and I deeper into the ground, sealing it.

The last thing I saw was Aang running over trying to grab Katara and I's hair before sinking down.

I close my eyes tightly struggling to breathe.

"I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die," I repeat. "I'll see you soon Yue."

Seconds later, I felt myself getting pushed back up to the surface.

"Your friends are safe," General Fung says.

I look to my right and see Katara. I cough and wheeze gasping for air.

Sokka runs over to me, holding me in his arms.

I look up at Aang. "Oh no."

Aang was in avatar state.

Aang then comes down earthbending the whole ground as he falls onto his knees. Katara runs over to him.

Aang hugs his knees. "I'm sorry, Katara. I hope you never have to see me like that again."

"Ha! Are you joking? That was almost perfect. We just have to find out a way to control you when you're like that." Fung says walking over to Aang.

"You're out of your mind," Aang replies.

"Where's Soul?!" Aang asks looking around.

Sokka and I then come strolling down on the ostrich bird.

I knock General Fung out with Sokka's boomerang.

"Anybody got a problem with that?" I ask giving the soldiers dirty looks.

They all shake their head no.

"Do you still need an escort to Omashu?" one of the soldiers asks.

I look at my friends. "I think we're all set."

We all get on Appa and fly to our next destination.
