Midoriya's P.O.V.

Moments after Nomu's footsteps bound throughout the complex, gunshots and yells were heard.

The numbness in my limbs had begun to wear off and I could slightly move my arm and wiggle my fingers.

The team of Mafia members could be heard running throughout the halls to try and escape the Nomu, eventually reaching the doors and bursting out.

Their footsteps rhythmically pound on the ground as they round the corner of the building, hoping to find a safe spot in the hidden alley, but just end up finding their main rivals holding me captive.

I feel like a real weak link in this situation. How fantastic.

The team is now trapped between their company rivals and the Nomu. Shigaraki throws me out of his grip and into Himiko. She grabs me and gives me a crazy smile, proceeding to pull out a knife and holding it against my throat.

I've been in this situation too many times for it to be unusual.

Out of my peripheral vision, I can see Kacchan approaching and the rest following behind him.

"Tsk, tsk. Take another step and I won't hesitate to let Himiko kill Izuku. He's completely powerless right now, so don't even try telling him to do anything. He can't move any of his limbs, which are almost completely numb." Shigaraki threatens.

Kacchan proceeds to speed up walking but Todoroki pulls him back, giving him a glare.

"What do you want, Shigaraki?" Todoroki lets go of Kacchan and asks.

"It's simple. I want you dead. I could easily do that right now, but you know why I won't?"

Shigaraki doesn't let anyone answer, continuing his sentence.

"It's because I need your company to help get our name out there. Let the world know what lurks in the shadows where they can't see. What happens behind that happy screen. I would let you all run free if you let me continue my experiments on Nomus. Bet you thought that guy was really scary, huh?"

Shigaraki gestured toward the large humanoid bird creature blocking the exit of the alleyway.

"If you don't try and interfere with anything we do, we won't hurt any of you. At least, not today. Not until your more useful."

Shigaraki finishes off his proposal with a sadistic smile on his face. Himiko proceeds to dig the knife closer to my throat, drawing small dots of blood.

"Why would we agree to that!?" Kacchan bursts out.

"Otherwise, this would happen. And trust me, it wouldn't end there. Dabi?" Shigaraki raises his eyebrows and gestures at Dabi to do something, none of us sure what.

Dabi walks toward me, a calm smile dawning on his face. My face scrunches up in worry and Himiko tightens her grip on me.

Dahi holds his hand out, and Himiko places the knife she was holding against my throat in it. I breathe out a sigh of relief.

Dabi then proceeds to use that exact knife to cut a thin line down my arm and ripping my hoodie sleeve. I grimace and wince as he maintains eye contact with me, smiling strangely calm and sadistic.

Tears leak out of my eyes against my will as I try and not seem as weak I really was. He throws it up and catches it, handing it back over to Himiko.

"There's more where that came from. We won't hesitate to do much worse to Midoriya or any of you. Accept the proposition, or die." Dabi finishes Shigaraki's threat.

Blood drips down my arm and onto the ground. I bite my lip hard enough to draw blood in order to try and ignore the pain.

The drug Shigaraki had given me to numb my limbs was wearing off to wear I could feel my limbs, just not move them very well. The worst possible hell I could imagine right now.

"Fine. We'll leave your operation alone in exchange for you to let us go free and mostly unharmed." Todoroki sighs out, giving me a look of sympathy.

"That's a deal then." Shigaraki moves toward Todoroki and shakes his hand.

Himiko rolls her eyes and mumbles "I still was wishing to murder someone today." under her breathe.

Kurogiri proceeds to silently leave the area, taking the Nomu with him. Himiko lets go of me, proceeding to leave me slumped against the brick wall of the complex. Dabi and Shigaraki walk-off smirking, following the path Kurogiri took, Himiko closely behind.

Todoroki and Kacchan rush toward me and envelope me in a tight hug.

"We need to get your arm bandaged up and wait until that drug gets out of your system. Can you walk?" Kacchan asks.

I shake my head as Kacchan proceeds to pick me up bridal style. Todoroki chuckles at us, just happy to be out of the life or death situation.

"Well team, we may have not succeeded today, but a day will come where we finish this once and for all. That day might not come for a while, but it will come. Let's all go home." Todoroki announces and we all head back toward where we parked.

Kacchan has ripped off part of the shirt he was wearing and wrapped it around my arm as a temporary bandage. He hugs me close to him as he continues to carry me back to the vehicles, Todoroki walking beside us.

The walk back wasn't too bad besides the stinging pain in my arm. The three of us say our goodbyes to the other Mafia members as we all get into our respective vehicles and head home.

The drug had begun to wear off more and more as the ride back home went on, to where I could eventually move my arms and legs.

After a forty-five minute drive, we eventually arrive home. Safe and sound.

Kacchan carries me inside despite my protests, Todoroki unlocking and opening the door for him.

"I can't believe we're here right now. Nothing went as planned, yet we're still alive and well. We have a big fight coming up in our future though. I can feel it." Todoroki worries as we all sit down on the couch.

"Well, we're fine now. I think we should just focus on that." I say to try and reassure him.

Kacchan had walked off to get some bandages for my injured arm. He comes back moments later and wraps my arm as Todoroki and I continue our conversation.

"I love you guys." I state with passion and affection in my voice.

"And we both love you." Todoroki says, wrapping an arm over my shoulders.

"That's right." Kacchan reinforces and gives me a kiss on the cheek.

We stayed up for the rest of the night watching movies and eating popcorn, laughing and cuddling each other.

What an adventure we had been on today, and I'm sure there will definitely be another one coming to end everything. Once and for all.
