Yoimiya turned to look at you with a stunned expression. 

"Will you hear me out, now?" you asked. 

She hesitantly nodded in response, then the two of you went outside to sit on a bench. There weren't as many people around and it was far quieter.

You didn't know where to start, "Sara was manipulating you."

Yoimiya narrowed her eyes, "was...she?" she said in disbelief. 

"She's always hated me, so didn't you ever find it strange that she wanted to be your friend?" you said. 

She thought on it for a moment, "I guess I wasn't thinking straight." 

"Sara was trying to get you to hate me. She wanted to make my life miserable." You explained, "apparently she was also jealous of me and Ayato..." 

"I think she was telling me about that at one point." Yoimiya said, looking away from you, "she was saying about how you stole her friend." 

Your eyes met with your feet, "you know how I wasn't at school the past few days?" 

"Mhm." 

"Well, that's because I was in the hospital. After...being stabbed..." Your voice got quieter with each word you said. 

Yoimiya looked back at you, with eyes wide, "don't tell me..." 

"...Sara stabbed me." You finished, "and yeah, that's the reason she went to jail." 

"I-I never knew..." she was too stunned to speak. 

"I knew she hated me, but I never realized she was willing to go so far."

Yoimiya looked up into the sky and stared at it for a few moments, while you thought of what to say next. 

"I'm sorry," she said, "for everything... I never realized what a friendship with Sara would cause."

You smiled in response, "it's alright, I forgive you." 

The two of you closed in for a comforting hug.

You spent the rest of the afternoon at your apartment with Yoimiya, just catching up on life. It felt like you guys haven't held a proper conversation in years. The conversation cut short when you received a text from Ayato asking if you wanted to go out and get ice cream with him and the others.  

"Do you want to go with us?" you asked Yoimiya, after explaining the message to her. 

"Doesn't everyone hate me...?" Yoimiya said quietly. 

You smiled, "of course not! I bet everyone would be happy to see you there." 

"Really?"

You nodded.

"Well, then... maybe I'll go. Ice cream does sound tasty." She admitted, "and it would be nice to see the others again." 

You smiled, "alright, I'll tell Ayato that we'll meet him there!" you said as you looked back down at your phone to respond to him.

The ice cream shop was nearby, so you and Yoimiya walked there. You chatted along the way and discussed random things. Yoimiya told you how she wanted to have a firework party soon and invite everyone she knew. And that she wanted to light the biggest fireworks she could find. 

When the two of you arrived the others were already there. Ayaka ran up to the two of you, she looked very happy. 

"Y/n, oh my gosh Yoimiya too!" She hugs her, "it's been a while! I'm glad the two of you guys are back together." 

Yoimiya scratches the back of her head, unsure how to react, "yeah... sorry about all the trouble I caused."

"It's alright, I forgive you." Ayaka smiled.

Ayato approached you and planted a kiss on your forehead, "glad you could make it, Y/n, and you as well." He said as he waved to Yoimiya. 

Thoma, who was also there walked up to Ayaka and began to chat with her. 

"Are they together?" Yoimiya leaned over and whispered to you. 

You shrugged, "I don't think so, but it's obvious they like each other, so it's only a matter of time." 

"Mhm, I should just tell them both," Ayato said. 

"No, then that would ruin the fun!" you raised your voice a little. 

Yoimiya giggled, "that's cute." 

You nodded, "yeah. Oh, we should order ice cream now!" 

And so you all did. Ayaka and Thoma ordered basic chocolate and vanilla, Yoimiya got the craziest thing she could possibly get, Ayato got strawberry shortcake, and you got you're favorite flavor.

As you were eating your ice cream Ayato suddenly leaned towards you and licked your cheek. Your face burned up. 

"Sorry, you just had a little something there." He chuckled.

Yoimiya grinned, "I so wish I could've recorded that," she whispered in your ear, which only caused you to burn up more.

"Yoi, stop that!" you blurted. 

"Hey, at least you aren't kissing him through paper anym-" 

You put your hand over her mouth, "shut up!"

"You don't have to hide it Y/n... I've seen all those posters in your room. I'm aware you are a fan." Ayato said. 

"W-well, I'm going to take those down!" You declared. "Those were old." 

Ayato frowned, "I thought you enjoyed staring at my face." 

"Don't worry, she does," Yoimiya confirmed, "she'd never consider taking them down." 

"pleaseeeeeeee stop," you begged, "or else I'll steal all your fireworks." 

Yoimiya gasped, "not my fireworks! I'm sorry, show mercy!"

"Glad to see the two of you back together," Thoma said as he jumped into the conversation. 

"Well, if Y/n tries stealing my fireworks I'm leaving!" Yoimiya complained. 

You giggled, "as if I'd ever do that." 

You spent the rest of the evening chatting with your friends. It was the most fun you've had in a while, and this time nobody was left out. 

After everyone parted ways Ayato decided to come back home with you. When you got back to your apartment you sat down on your couch, finally having a break after your long day. 

"Ah, today was everywhere, but in the end, everything turned out great." You said to yourself, already forgetting you weren't alone. 

"I agree," Ayato sat down next to you, startling you, "I can make it better, though." 

You looked at him and blushed, "is that so?" 

Before you had a chance to say anything else, Ayato pulled you into a passionate kiss. This was completely unexpected on your end. You closed your eyes and kissed him back. 

You pulled back out of breath and just stared into his eyes, "I... wow." 

He chuckled, "you didn't expect that, did you?" 

"Not at all." You admitted. 

He decided to pull you into another kiss. Afterward, the two of you snuggled on the couch and watched a movie together.

"I love you so much." You said midway through the movie, unexpectedly.

Ayato looked at you with a smile and planted a kiss on your forehead, "I love you too, Y/n."

Things only got better from there on out. Ayaka and Thoma became official, and Yoimiya was now desperate to find a partner. You and Ayaka would help her out on that journey.

Ayato had a few work things come up during school and he'd take you every time. You slowly got more and more involved with his life.

Everything was perfect. You had the greatest friends, and you were dating your dream man. Words could not explain how happy you were. You loved them all so dearly...
