Over my school break, you had been considering ending my obsession with Ayato. Yoimia keeps telling you, that you should try to go after guys that are average. Heck, you have no idea what she means by that.
For Christmas, you gave Yoimiya the same gift you've given her 5 years in a row. She was just as happy and excited to receive more fireworks. She's telling you to end your crush on Ayato, but what about her firework obsession? She acts like a little kid when she's in range of them.
Winter break had finally ended and it was time to go back to school. You had fun during my break. New Year's Yoimiya lit hundreds of fireworks in the middle of town, apparently, several people called the police out of pure concern.
You were getting ready for the next semester. You grabbed the latest magazine from the fashion industry so you could scroll through it during class. You also tossed on an extra coat, because the forecast said it was going to snow this afternoon.
You were glad you tossed that extra coat on because it was freezing out.
You soon arrived at your first class of the next semester. Despite it being a new year, everything felt the same.
"I have a special announcement to make." The teacher said.
Only half the class was interested in what the teacher had to announce. You didn't pay too much attention because you were expecting the teacher to announce another bake sale like they did last year.
"We have a transfer student that'll now be attending the school for the rest of the year!" The teacher makes a signal for the new student to walk in.
"Everyone welcome Kamisato Ayaka!"
Your jaw dropped.
Ayato's sister...
This had to be a dream... did this mean Ayato was here too?
Ayaka waved, but nobody seemed to recognize her for being a famous model, except you. Everyone just greeted her like an average student.
There were several open seats in the classroom, and Ayaka happened to choose the open seat that was right in front of you.
You couldn't believe that your favorite model's younger sister was now attending your school.
You had totally spaced out when you heard the familiar voice of Ayaka speak, "is that the new cover that came out last weekend?" she was peeking behind her to look at the magazine that sat on my desk.
"Oh, er, yes." You spoke a little too quickly.
Yoimiya noticed your sudden awkwardness and leaned toward you to whisper, "are you alright?"
"Yoimiya...this...I..." you were at a loss for words, "do you know who she is?"
She shook her head.
"Kamisato Ayaka, Ayato's younger sister!" you whispered in shock.
"I'm sorry did I interrupt youβ" Ayaka said.
You and Yoimiya turned to face Ayaka. You were at a loss for words.
"No not at all," Yoimiya said, "but Y/n here has a huge cruβ"
Before she could continue, you leaned over and put your hand over Yoimiya's mouth, "what she's trying to say, is that I'm a big fan of you and your brother modeling."
You give Yoimiya the death stare.
"Oh, why thank youβ" Ayaka said.
"Back of the classroom, quiet!" The teacher shouted.
The three of us froze, "we can continue the conversation after class," you insisted.
Yoimiya and Ayaka nodded, then looked back towards the front of the classroom.
You decided to put away your magazine. Could Ayato be attending school as well? I mean, if Ayaka is here surely Ayato would be in the upper-level classes, right? If so, would you be able to see him in person? Even better, talk with him?! It was already a miracle enough for you to speak with Ayaka and have her as a classmate... but Ayato. You couldn't stop imagining his perfect face.
Before you knew it the school bell rang and you were off to your next class.
While walking to your next class you were accompanied by Yoimiya and Ayaka.
"Y/n, right?" Ayaka asked as we walked down the crowded school halls.
I nodded.
"And you're..."
"Yoimiya," she smiled, "sometime you should come to my place and light some fireworks!"
"It's nice to meet you both-- wait, did you say fireworks? Were you involved with the incident that happened on New Year's Eve?" Ayaka asked.
"You heard about that?" Your head tilted.
"It was all over the news!" she responded.
"Hehe, yep that was all me!" Yoimiya admitted proudly.
"I'm surprised the police just let you go. Those fireworks were crazy." Ayaka said.
"Look, the police know me as the Firework Girl so it's all good." Yoimiya smiled proudly.
"Let's just say that wasn't the first time the police had to come...." You sighed, "anyway, what made a famous model like yourself come to a small city like this?" you asked Ayaka.
"Since becoming models, my brother and I haven't been able to keep up with school. We wanted to finish it, but our whole modeling career was too chaotic to shove school in there. So Ayato and I are temporarily on a break while we finish school. We moved here because it was small and didn't want to be overwhelmed by fans. For that reason, we've kept quiet on social media, so people wouldn't go looking for our locations." Ayaka explained.
So that did mean Ayato was here... somewhere.
"Well, now that you're here you are stuck with us!" Yoimiya giggled.
Ayaka smiled, then said, "We should hurry to class, don't want to be late."
The three of you headed to class and thankfully made it right on time.
Class was long and boring as usual, but you couldn't stop imagining the moment when you met Ayato. Everything felt so surreal right now. You had just made friends with a famous model the moment she transferred to your school. You looked forward to what was to come.
After school, Ayaka invited you over to her apartment. She would've invited Yoimiya, but she got detention for hiding fireworks in Sara's locker.
You just exited the school building with Ayaka and a taxi came to pick us up.
One thing you forgot about Ayaka: she's rich.
The taxi we drove in was high class. It wasn't like some sketchy dude with a cigarette and pizza scented car. You've never been in a car this nice. It smelled of lavender and a hint of lemon on the inside. No suspicious stains were hiding in the car. The taxi was so clean you would've thought it was a brand new car unless you hadn't been driving with your new rich friend.
The taxi soon dropped us off at the fanciest/most expensive apartment building there was in the city. You were so used to living in a cheap apartment you almost felt uncomfortable walking into somewhere so expensive.
We walked into the building. There was a lobby with someone at the front desk. Jeez, this place is so nice! I never imagined I'd ever step foot into somewhere so luxurious.
You and Ayaka took the elevator up to floor 8 and went to her home.
She pulled a set of keys from her backpack and unlocked the door.
From what you could see through the doorway, the apartment looked like a mixture of modern and Japanese traditional. You were a little worried to step in, afraid that making one move could break something that costs millions.
"Welcome back Miss Kamisato." A boy with blonde hair walked over.
You were slightly disappointed to find out that it was not Ayato.
"Thank you, Thoma," Ayaka smiled, "I'd like you to meet my new friend, Y/n, and Y/n this is Thoma, our housekeeper."
You awkwardly waved to Thoma. You never realized that the Kamisato's had a housekeeper living with them.
"How was your first day of school?" Thoma asked as Ayaka slipped her shoes off. You didn't know what to do, so you just copied Ayaka and placed your shoes next to hers.
"It was good." She responded, "where's Ayato? I haven't seen him since we split up into different classes."
"I'm right here." The familiar voice of Ayato rang through your ears as he entered the room.
Your body froze.
It was really him, the model you've had a crush on for who knows how long, and he was right there in front of you!
