*8 years later*

'Bala'm, if you don't mind, I would like to use Fatma and Leyla to spy on the crusaders. They would be amazing and they have been begging for missions, lately.' said Osman. 'O...Ok... as long as they stay safe and not hurt themselves.' said Bala

"Don't worry, Bala'm, my close friend, his son and his nephew will be there. They will work together. I will not tell them about this but once they find each other, they'll know what to do.' said Osman. 'Osman...' Bala said with a smirk on her face '....what are you thinking?' 'Nothing, I better go back to my duties. Selam Aleykum.' Osman quickly left, as Bala let out a chuckle.

'KΔ±zlarΔ±m, I have a task for you,' Osman started. Leyla and Fatma looked at each other with excited smiles. 'What is your task for us, baba?' Fatma asked, so excited that she would jump out her skin. Osman smiled and said , 'This is a hard task ..... I need you to spy on the crusaders..' Leyla's smile dropped, knowing the seriousness of the situation, she knew this was a tough and important job so she needed to be serious. She poked Fatma in the ribs, who immediately stopped jumping, and thinned her lips.

A few hours later, Fatma and Leyla had set off looking like maids. When they arrived, they went to a room and started "tidying books". Two soldiers walked in. 'I wish we were soldiers.' Fatma whispered to Leyla. Suddenly, Leyla noticed something out of the corner of her eye. The soldiers had swords, made with steels only found in Turk lands. And on it.................the Kinik Tribe Logo.

It was the tribe of their late nene, Halime Sultan, and the residence of one of their father's closest friends.

'Look at the swords, Fatma, look at them.' Leyla hissed until Fatma finally looked at the sword. She was about to yell in joy, when Leyla stepped down hard on her foot.

The girls just tried to ignore the boys but it was kind of hard for them to take their eyes off their own people. As the girls were sorting through the books, the boys put a sword on their necks, covering their mouths so they wouldnt make a noise. Fatma tried to reach for her dagger but she realised it fell. Leyla's hand couldn't reach down, or else the sword on her neck would dig into her, and kill her.

They were tied to the chair, and the boys smirked at each other. 'Osman Bey'nin Kizlar.' They turned around, and engaged in conversation.

'Kimsin!' shouted Fatma. Leyla and Fatma stared at each other and just about managed to get their hands free. Leyla slowly reached for her dagger and she gave Fatma her second dagger from her shoe and sneaked up on them. They grabbed their shoulders, and put the daggers to their neck. 'KΔ°MSΔ°N, KONUŞMAK, SPEAKKKKK!' spat Fatma. The older boy sighed before saying, 'I am Mohamed, and this is my cousin, Mustafa. I am one of your father's friend's son. Leyla, I thought you would have known, seeing as your supposed to be the older and cleverer one.' said Mohamed, his words dripping with sarcasm.

Leyla ripped her dagger away from the boy called Mohamed. 'Let me guess, you did know when you saw our swords, but you needed more proof.' Mohamed rightly guessed, as Leyla nodded.  As they started to turn to pick up the rope, Fatma asked her burning question. 'How did you know we were Osman Bey's daughters? We could have just been normal slaves.'

'Well, my uncle told us how to find you and told us we would work together to spy on the Crysaders. And also to tell you that your father didn't want you to know we were coming, so it looked more realistic.' explained Mustafa.

They laid out a plan, but Leyla looked worried. 'Abla, are you ok?' 'Nothing is wrong, we just need to finish the task Baba set for us.' replied Leyla. After they had done the first part of their plan, they met up at midnight. 'We will have to split up into twos again...but umm......my uncle set our twos.... he sort of wanted us to get to uhh... know each other.' Mustafa unsteadily said. However, he secretly was really excited about it because he was with Fatma and he found her really beautiful and kind. Leyla was hoping she was with Mohamed since she got to know him quite well and wanted to know more.

Mohamed pulled out a small parchment. 'Leyla Hatun, you'll be with me. And Fatma Hatun, you'll be with Mustafa.' Leyla and Mustafa smiled, and Fatma just nodded her head.

'Baba assigned me and Leyla Hatun to spy on the leaders, and Fatma, Mustafa, keep your eyes on the soldiers, and try to figure out the best passages to get in and out. For all this, we'll have to dress as soldiers, and you hatuns, in the maid costumes.' explained Mohamed. Leyla was happy that she got to spy on the leaders, as she wanted to be as close to the work as possible.

After they got dressed, they set off. 'May Allah help us. Oh, and Mustafa, take care of my little sis.'

'Amen.' they said in unison. Once Leyla and Mohamed reached the doors of the tekfur's throne room, the looked to make sure nobody was around. They slowly pulled out their daggers.

'How's it going, brave soldiers?' 'Everything is going great! Our plan against Osman is falling into places, isn't it fellow soldier?' The guard asked Mohamed. 'Yeah, it is.' He sneakily smiled.

Leyla lent forward, and the guard chuckled mischievously. 'Would you like to know something?' 'We would like anything that comes from your lips!' She gripped her dagger, before pulling it out, and slitting his throat. 'You now know.....not to mess with Osman Bey and his daughters.' The other guard attacked her, however, Mohamed stabbed him in the heart.

He immediately fell to the ground. They pulled away the bodies, and hid them in one of the guest rooms.

Fatma had finally convinced Mustafa to let her wear soldier's clothes. They walked into the soldiers pub, and held their noses at the smell. They went to the least drunkest guy. 'Where will we go?' 'How do you not know where we are going from- do you even listen?' He scolded them, and they difficultly tried to think of an excuse. 'Well, we were given a task so we did not have the time to listen to what we are doing.' Fatma quickly said, hoping the soldier would believe her, especially since her voice sounded a little girl like.

The man lent over and whispered, 'We are going through the secret passages so we know how to escape or hide from the Turks if they attack!' Fatma and Mustafa looked each other in the eye and smiled. This was exactly what they needed!

Back at the castle, one of the men came up to Leyla and Mohamed and tried to catch them. They ran as fast as they could and reached their horses, riding into the forest. The cold embraced them, so Leyla decided to create a fire. However, Mohamed didn't want her to go around on her own. 'I'll go get the sticks. You rest here, I'll do it. Merak Etme, Leyla Hatun.' Leyla was extremely tired, so she agreed.

2 days passed, and Leyla became worried for her sister and Mustafa.

Not long later, some of the men from the castle had found them. Mohamed was out hunting and Leyla was sat by the fire, trying to warm up and relax. She didn't realise she was being watched, as the bow was pulled.

Mohamed saw the crusader let the arrow go. He dropped his logs, running faster than light. The arrow pierced him, in a dangerous area on his shoulder. He turned around to see Leyla with a shocked look on her face. The last thing he saw before falling down, into her arms.

He saw the soldier shoot another arrow, and it went through his leg. 'MOHAMED!' Leyla screamed, pulling out her sword from her sheath. 'If anything happens to him, know that the Kayi and Kinik tribes will burn down your castle.'

The soldiers laughed at her. 'What can a small girl like you do? Now we know your from the Kayi tribe, your more important to us. You'll come with us, and be an ornament to our beds!'

Back in the tunnels, Fatma and Mustafa were doing just fine, until one of the men noticed the logo on Mustafa's sword. He had forgotten to change his sword. 'HEY, THATS A TURK SWORD! YOUR SPIES! THATS WHY YOU DIDNT KNOW WHAT WE WERE DOING! GUYS, ATTACK THEM!' The soldier they had met before, shouted. Mustafa and Fatma ran for there lives, as a soldier swung his sword at them. 'Mustafa, duck!' screamed Fatma. Mustafa ducked down, and they safely returned to their horses.

'To bed a Kayi Hatun, is impossible. Youll die tonight!' Leyla smirked. 'Nah, it'll be the easiest thing to do!'

'Come on then! Kill me if you can!' Leyla challenged. They came to her, one by one, but she slaughtered each and every one of them. Looking at the main soldier, she chuckled. 'So, was that easy? I'm not so weak, am I?' 'Those soldiers were, but you haven't faced me!'

They fought, and Leyla tricked him into getting his sword on her neck. 'Oh, I thought you said were strong, cucuk Hatun?' He laughed, and so did she. Before anyone knew it, her sword was on his neck, and he looked in surprise, and shock.

'I did, didnt I? And now you will die knowing that!' Leyla slowly slid her sword over his neck, and he cried out in pain. With one final stab in the heart, he was dead. She rushed over to wounded Mohamed. 'Are you ok, Mohamed Abi?' 'Yes, I am, Leyla Hatun, iyiyim.'

'Abla!' Fatma's voice sounded. Leyla looked up, almost breaking her neck. 'Bacim? BACIM!' She ran to her sisters horse and helped her down. 'Mohamed?' Mustafa rushed to his cousin, and held his hand. 'What happened to you? What happened to him, Leyla Abla?'  Leyla nervously looked at him.

'He.....he risked his life to save me. We have to take him somewhere, all else his wounds could get infected, and we could.....lose him.' 'Come on! Let's take him to the tribe!' Fatma got ready to haul him up, but Leyla shook her head. 'Bacim, it's too far! We didn't really understand the way when we got here, and we now just rode to get away from the crusaders. It could take forever to get back to the tribe. And moving Mohamed would be critical for him.' Leyla was concerned.

'Abla! We can't just stay here! What if more Crusaders come? We can't stay here and die, can we?' 'Don't speak like that Fatma, I am your Abla. Anyways, we have 3 choices,'

'We keep walking, however, it could put Mohamed in more pain,'

'We look for tracks,'

'Or, we wait for someone to find us, what do you think?'

'I say we look for tracks, but that we can decide later. How are we going to take Mohamed? He is injured!' Leyla had been so caught up in going back home, she'd forgotten about Mohamed. 'Iβ€”i don't know! I'm sorry!' She burst into tears, and Fatma took her in her arms.

'Abla, it's fine you don't know. Our Baba didn't put us in this situation if he didn't think we were capable.' After a few minutes of thought, Fatma stood up.

'I think I know! Abla and I can go find logs and sticks and make a board for him to lie on then tie him by horse.' said Fatma, proud with herself. 'Fatma, that is a great idea, but we can't go far. We need to keep track of this place. Someone needs to stay with Mohamed.'

'Those logs can be heavy, Leyla and Fatma, you stay here. I will go and carry them. I am a boy so it will be easier, and I'm stronger.' Mustafa boasted.

Leyla raised an eyebrow.

'Emmi Ogul, Leyla Hatun is quite strong. She killed and fought 16 crusaders and much more. She is the also the daughter of Osman Bey. I can imagine her sister to be the same. Do you not think he would have trained them?' Mohamed spoke up. Leyla smiled at him, feeling herself go hot. She turned away, and Fatma giggled and poked her.

About an hour later, the girls had brought back the logs. They found some materials such as string in their saddle bags and used them to put together the stretcher. Mustafa hauled Mohamed onto it. Under his breath, he muttered about how heavy his cousin was. Fatma and Leyla couldn't keep their giggles in.

Fatma turned. 'ABLA! I SEE SOMETHING! COME LOOK!' Said Fatma. Leyla rode up to her sister. 'What is it?' 'I don't know.' 'Wait, it sounds to be a horse, and from the way it's walking upon the land, there's a person on it. Fatma, you scout ahead, I'll go check.'

'Boran Alp!' Leyla looked surprised. 'What are you doing here?'

'Leyla Hatun.....I was looking for help but clearly you need it more. I will help you back to the tribe.' Boran looked flustered. 'Boran...what happened?' Leyla worriedly asked. 'Beyimiz Osman....' The others returned, and Fatma was shocked. 'Boran Abi, what happened?' Fatma asked.

'WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR BABA?' shouted Fatma. 'He is injured. Bamsi is with him and so is Goktug. They sent me to find help and I heard you and came this way.' Boran's expression broke their hearts. 'Boran Alp, take us with you. We can help you take Baba home.... we also have an injured boy.' Leyla pleaded with the alp, and he finally agreed.

When they arrived to where Osman was,  they were all in shock. 'BABA!' Fatma and Leyla rushed to their father's side. He was unconscious, and bleeding a lot. 'How could they do this to you, oh Great Ertugrul Gazi's son, Osman Bey?' Leyla muttered under her breath, tears dripping down. She stroked his hair, whilst Fatma just sat and cried. Bamsi Bey entered the cave. 'BAMSI BEY! WE NEED TO TAKE MY BABA TO THE TRIBE!' Bamsi nodded and they got ready to leave.

About 10 minutes later, they arrived at the tribe. Everyone was crying and screaming. Bala Hatun walked out the marquee to see a huge crowd. She pushed her way, until she came upon 2 stretchers. One with an injured boy, whom she recognised to be Mohamed. And the other was.....

'OSMAN!' She fell beside him, stroking his hair. 'Osman, AΓ§ Gozlerini! How did they do this to you? Kayi's Great Bey, Osman Bey!' Fatma and Leyla pulled their mother up. 'Annegicim, we have  to take Baba to the healing tent. Come on!' Bala pulled herself together whilst the alps took then men to separate healing tents.

After 2 hours on long labour, branding and lots of blood, both the men were in stable conditions. Leyla and Fatms sat with their father. 'Baba, we completed our tasks. We know where they will bring their armies from, and what their tactics are.' 'I knew you would be able to do it, kizlarim.' 'With your permission Baba, I would like to go check on Mohamed.'

Osman saw the sparkle in Leyla's eyes. Chuckling, he allowed her to go see him.

'How are you, Mohamed?' 'I'm better now you're here, Leyla.' She blushed beetroot red. 'Thank you for saving me back there, risking your own life.' 'I'd do it again and again. I'd die 100 times more, just for you to be alive.' Her heart warmed at his words. 'My Ana is calling me, now. I'll see you soon, Mohamed.'

'Leyla Hatun!' Mohamed called out, grabbing her wrist. 'I-i think I like you.'
