That night after Tobio brought me home all I could think of were his words that kept spiraling in my brain making me feel a way that I've never felt before. "Stupid" I mumbled as I looked out the window of my room that appeared to be covered with raindrops, I muster up some courage and go to my mom's room...

"Knock"

"Mom can I talk to you for a sec.."

"Yes always, now come here stop acting like a stranger for god's sake... I gave birth to you!"

I gave her a disturbing look showing her that she needs to stop with her weird claims before I end up regretting it and going back to my room.

"So what's up (nickname) "

"I know why I didn't want to do therapy and why I've been trying to avoid it... I know you are my mom and I know that you want to know but please let me keep my reasons to myself.." I paused before continuing because of how much anxiety was rushing throughout my body at that very moment. "I've decided to do it... I know I was lucky enough to get back on my feet so I want to do it" as my words spilled and filled my mother's ears she looks smiled at me and nodded "okay even though I wish I was the one to convince you I'm glad that someone at least gave you the courage to realize" I looked at her and nodded and as I hugged her and was about to go back to my room she says one more thing "make sure to thank Tobio for me". My eyes widen at her statement that I had to give her thumbs up because I was so flustered no words dared to come out of my mouth nor did my brain dare to make up a sentence after those words. His face then popped in my mind as I got into bed "what the heck" I thought feeling flustered, after that, I just grabbed my blanket and closed my eyes hoping I would go to sleep.

My mom called the school to tell them the reason for my absence and before I knew it we were on our way to my first therapy session. We walked in and other people were there also some for the same reason as me and some for other reasons. A lady with warm tan skin and long black hair tied in a braid walks up to us.

"Hello my name is Hanna you must be (Y/n)" she said with a warm smile that made my anxiety settle down.

"well I'm here to help you so with any questions or frustrations you can count on me" she took ahold of my chair and steered me away from my mom.

She explained that today we are just going to do a few exercises to get my feet moving and within a week or two we'll try to walk. Not having my mom there felt a bit strange I had never realized how much she was around me until now. I was laying on a bed my eyes staring at a plain dot that was o the ceiling "how does that feel?" I shrugged and to my surprise, she didn't ask me anything else. Three hours went by and we were done with today's session "I'll see you tomorrow (Y/n), and remember don't try anything at home" I gave her a thumbs-up as a rolled myself out of the office and into our van.
