You have an ability called 'A Siren's Words Never Fail' which allows you to control the person you use your ability on with your words. The more you use your ability it the larger the order, the more your throat will hurt, as well as lessening your ability to talk.

Fluff

The only noise that could have been heard for miles were the sound your high-heeled combat boots made with each step you took. It was too quiet. Not just too quiet for your liking, but too quiet for the fact that you had expected an array of gunshots the moment you walked in this building.

You were assigned on a mission to eliminate an ability user that seemed to be sabotaging the Port Mafia's plans as of late. Unfortunately for you, Mori didn't give you any information whatsoever except for the place, saying this was a way to "prove yourself" or whatever bullshit excuses he came up with. Though you believe his actual reason is because he loves torturing you, physically and psychologically.

You grabbed your phone from your pocket and called your boss.

"Hey, boss. I don't see anyone here. You know, in the mission assigned me where you gave me little to no information." You complained.

You looked around that building. It was rather small, possibly something used for storage. There was nothing to it, no secret entrances or exits, so how had your target been able to hide themselves for so long?

Wait.

Maybe that was it.

Their ability was one that allowed them to not be seen!

"That look on your face, such a pretty one. An expression full of terror."

That voice... it echoed throughout the building, yet it came from right behind you!

Before you could react, you felt a hand gripping your throat, causing you to drop your phone and break it. You couldn't even react nor gasp for air because of how tightly they were gripping your throat. Trying to claw their grip away from you, the same voice you heard before started laughing.

"Ha! You really think you can escape me? Based on my ability: 'Not Seen Nor Heard', you couldn't predict my next move even if you managed to escape my grasp!"

Trying to think quick, you decided to use your ability: 'A Siren's Words Never Fail'.

Closing your eyes and trying to control your erratic breathing with the oxygen you have left, you activated your ability.

"You will let me go." You commanded.

The person became visible again and their hand detached from your neck with no hesitation. They're eyes were wide with shock and confusion. Using their confused state to your advantage, you grabbed your gun from its holster and held it up to shoot them, which somehow brought them out of their shock. They quickly ducked before your bullet him them in the head and unsheathed a dagger before charging straight at you.

You couldn't react fast enough to their evasion, causing them to slash your leg with their weapon. You hissed at the pain and stumbled fro a mere second before regaining your composure. By that time, your target as charging at you again for another attack.

By where their eyes laid on your body and where the dagger was on their hands, you knew they were aiming for your torso, more specifically your heart.

You let them get close enough before doing a backflip to dodge their attack, causing a grunt of frustration from them. You made eye contact with them and smirked. That seemed to have made them even more angry and their attacks somehow became faster and more aggressive, making it harder to dodge and counter.

They lunged at you from every corner, their dagger as sharp as ever. You manage to evade most of their attacks.

That was before you couldn't see them.

One minute they were right in front of you, the next, they were behind you, their dagger cutting your back! You fell forward as your gun fell out of your hands, which they kicked farther away from you.

Their murderous attacks continued, and you were now at a disadvantage due to not being able to use your ability fron your burning throat. You could feel your body stumbling around while new wound opened up from the enemy's moves. Too tired and dizzy to move, you just stood there, taking their blows from every angle.

Them done having their fun with you, they came up behind you and held their dagger to your throat.

"You are such a fun play toy! But unfortunately, I have to let you die. It's nothing personal, I just have a vendetta that I need to execute, and you're getting in my way of that."

Mustering every ounce of strength you could, you tried to use to ur ability once again. Wincing at the pain you might just experience from your ability overuse, you sucked in all the air you could.

"Die, you motherfucker."

The dagger at your throat instantly dropped in front of you as they fell to the ground. Looking to where your gun is, you walked over to it and picked it up before walking to the side of their body and knelt down to get close to their face. It was clear that they were being strangled from your ability, but there was nothing they could do to free themselves from the death that was seconds away.

"You are such a fun play toy! But unfortunately, I have to let you die. It's nothing personal, I just take orders from my boss." You told them with a tone that could send chills down anyone's spine.

"Fuck you, bitch."

And with that, you held the gun to their forehead. Their eyes got wide as they were coughing harder and harder. But before they could react to your actions, you pulled the trigger.

BANG!

Noise of the gunfire rang throughout the small building. You stepped back from the body and but your gun away to see the damage you had done. With all of that now being over, you managed to process everything that had just happened. Your throat started to burn like you had just ate the sun. Your ability of speech would be limited for a while.

Each cut on your body hurt like hell, and you had no idea how you were going to your next destination, or where that destination even was.

Making the only decision you could think of, you started walking to your boyfriend's house. You know the general area of where you are, having driven passed it a few times, so you knew it was going to be a while before you got there.

You walked through the city hurt, tired, and really wanting to be in your boyfriend's arms.

"Yo, miss! You need a lift?"

You turned to where the voice came from and saw a man in a taxi calling out to you.

"I don't have any money on me." You told him.

He waved his hand. "No money needed. I'm feeling generous and you look like you're gonna pass out any second."

Relieving a small chuckle, you got in the taxi with a small thanks.

"Any particular place in mind?" He asked you. You gave him directions to your boyfriends house and he plugged it into his GPS before he started driving.

You merely sat in the back, not moving a muscle. If anyone were to look at you now, they would have thought you were dead. Luckily for you though, the driver didn't make any comments about your physical state.

It was a quiet drive, the only sound heard was the faint sound of music playing from the radio. You looked down at your hands while trying not to pass out from the pain, wanting to finally see your boyfriend again. Even though it hadn't been that long since you've last seen him.

"Alright, miss. We're here." The driver said.

With a thank you, you got out and knocked on your boyfriend's door as the man drove away.

A few seconds after knocking, you were greeted with the sight of your beloved boyfriends, Odasaku. Tears greeted your eyes as you pulled him into a tight hug the moment you saw him, which he gladly returned.

"Where were you? I was so worried. I tried to text and call but no on answe-"

"Mission." Was all you said. With your throat hurting so much, you found it a miracle you could say anything at all. Though your answer was vague and short, it didn't take any time for Oda to understand. His eyes softened from worry to the caring look you always see him give you.

"Cmon."

He led you inside and sat you down on his couch before going to get the first aid kit. This wasn't the first time you came to him wounded, but this time certainly was the worst.

There was a cut on your face, a few visible on your arms and legs. As he tried to dab your wound with rubbing alcohol, he noticed you recoil or flinch everytime the cotton ball touched an open wound.

"How did this happen?"

You tried to speak, yet no sound came out. Oda noticed this and looked at you with great concern. Your eyes started to tear up, much to your dismay. You tried to wipe them away but your boyfriend caught your wrist before your hands reached your face.

He looked deep into your eyes before putting his hand on your face and wiped your tears away.

"You're okay."

Though those words didn't seem very impactful, they caused you to start crying even harder. Oda dropped the medical supplies and wrapped you in his arms tightly. You hugged him back while wetting his shirt with your pained tears.

"It's okay. You're going to be okay. I love you."

He whispered sweet nothings into your ears so calm you down. And after a while, it worked. Your tears ran out and your energy seemed to depleted to cry anymore as is.

Oda released himself from your hug but held your shoulders. "I'm going to clean up your wounds and then we're going to go to bed, okay?" He whispered. You could only nod in response.

And he did just that. He clears up your visible wounds before asking if you had anymore. Hesitantly, you shook your head no.

"(Y/N), do you have anymore wounds on your body?" He asked in a kind yet stern voice.

You reluctantly lifted your shirt up and reveals a whole bunch of cuts and bruises that was left on you. You could hear him quietly gasp at the sight.

"This might hurt."

He grabbed your hand before treating your wounds on your stomach and back. Each dab he put on your skin causes you to grip his hand harder and harder while he whispered to you.

Before long, the torment was finally over. He wrapped some of your wounds in gauze before putting the first aid kit away. He brought you to the bedroom and laid down next to you. You two faced each other and just stared into the eyes of one another, not a word spoken.

"You are...so beautiful. You know that?" He told you. Despite the pain and mental strain you've been going through, you smiled genuinely.

"I love you, Oda." You managed to muster out surprisingly. You both had a moment of shock when your voice called to him. Nonetheless, he gave you a smile.

"I love you too."
