I want to say thank you so so so so so so so so so much for 1K reads. It means the absolute world to me that my writing is getting attention because it makes me feel validation in myself that my writing is good enough for it to maybe one day be put out into the world with my own name on it.

"I wonder who's writing these." You spoke to yourself.
Not too long ago, you have been opening your locker and finding small pieces of paper with writings of love confessions in them.
'Every time I see you I always wonder how someone can look so amazing.'
'Have you ever been stargazing? If I ever muster up the courage to tell you who I really am, maybe one day you and I can go stargazing together.'
'Last night I was listening to music and a song that came on reminded me of you. I think it was called 'I Wanna Be Yours'. You should listen to it sometime.'
Neat handwriting was always written on the papers. Almost cursive-like is what you would say to describe handwriting. Nonetheless, the notes you received always made you smile, no matter what was on them.
You've always wanted to know who the mysterious person that keeps writing the notes was. Sometimes you've tried to arrive to school early just to catch the culprit. But each time you open your locker, the note was already in there. You've also tried asking people around the school if they've seen anyone in front of your locker recently, only to get a bunch of shrugs or 'no, I haven't' in return.
You've always hoped the notes you've been getting were from a boy in your class named Chuuya. Though you don't know him all that well, he was extremely attractive and nice. You've only ever talked to him a few times. Mainly because you were partnered up with him in various classes throughout the school year. Though you wish the relationship you had with him could be something more than just 'mere acquaintance'.
Today was no different from the rest. You arrive at school with your backpack strapped around your shoulders while being greeted by loud chatter from each person you passed in the halls. You quietly sighed to yourself in exhaustion. You haven't been much sleep lately. Due to the mountains of schoolwork you've been needing to get done. It's been taking a toll on you. But unfortunately, there was nothing you could really do about it.
You opened your locker and saw a ripped piece of paper laying face down. You grabbed it and flipped it over.
'I hope you're doing okay. Whenever I see you lately, you always seem stressed or tired. When school is over, you should go to Starbucks and buy some things for yourself. My treat!'
Your eyebrows furrowed. You looked back into your locker and saw that 2,500 yen had also been placed inside your locker. You quietly gasped in surprise that your secret admirer had given you money to treat yourself. Your tired expression soon became a happy one when you picked up the money.
The bell rang shortly after that, making you put the money in your backpack and hurrying to class.

Soon, the morning turned into midday, and you were sitting in your chair bored while taking a test.
You had studied your ass of the previous night, and yet your mind still came to a blank when eyeing the problems on the pages.
A sigh of defeat erupted from your chest. For some unknown reason, you felt like crying. You had studied for hours upon hours, and yet you knew you were going to fail this test. You were on the brink of failing the class, one more failed test and you were sure to be done for. Maybe it was the stress and lack of sleep that was weighing upon you, causing you to feel like bursting into tears at any given moment.
In the middle of trying not to break down, you heard the slight crinkle of paper and saw a small ball of paper had been thrown on your desk. You look behind you and saw Chuuya. He saw the confused look you gave him and eyes the piece of paper, signalling for you to open it.
You unraveled the piece of paper and saw the answers to every problem on the test. Your eyes widened in disbelief. You whipped your head around to face Chuuya, but his attention was on the piece of paper on his desk.
Bringing your attention back to the piece of paper than he had thrown at you, you read each answer on the paper and copied them down on your own. As you eyed the test answers, you felt a sense of deja vu when you studied the handwriting, yet you couldn't place your finger on it.
Mere moments later, the teacher stood up. "Alright. Time for testing is over. Please pass your papers to the front."
Complying with the teacher, you handed your test to the person in front of you and then turned behind you to grab Chuuya's paper. He placed the test in your hands face up. You were about to hand the paper to the person in front of you again when you sudden remembered.
The handwriting.
You knew why it was so familiar.
It was the same cursive-like handwriting that was on the notes you've been getting!
"Uhhh. Hello?" The person in front of you said.
You shook yourself out of your thought. "Oh. Right. Sorry."
"You will receive the papers back by tomorrow. I expect much from you all. Have a good rest of your day"
As soon as the teacher finished her sentence, the bell rang. Causing a crowd to form around the door to get out and to their lockers to leave for the day.
You pushed through the crowd and rushed to your locker, grabbing your things while hoping that Chuuya hasn't left yet so you could talk to him.
Nearly sprinting toward the entrance of the school after you grabbed your materials, you bursted out the doors, searching the groups of people heading to their homes. Some people were walking with others, other sitting, and some were just merely walking by themselves. You were usually the type person who walked by themselves.
Scanning each and every person, you eventually found Chuuya. Almost jumping up in delight, you ran over to him. As you got closer, you noticed her was quietly muttering to himself with his head down. His face was angled to where the sun was perfectly shining off of his face, almost in a glowing manner. And although some of his hair was covering the sides of his face, you could still see his sharp jawline through the strands of his hair.
You could say he was the mere embodiment of perfection.
"Chuuya! Chuuya!" You called.
He stopped walking and looked back to the voice calling his name, only to find you running over to him. He felt his face warm up at the sight of you.
"Uh. Hi?" He said. Though he posed a calm and slightly confused manner in front you you, the tips of his ears turned a light shade of red as soon as you came into sight, signifying his nervousness.
"H-hey. Uh. Well, I wanted to ask you something." You told him in between breaths.
"Oh. Um. Okay?"
"Are you the one writing me all those notes?"
He froze. This was the exact question he had been fearing ever since he starting delivering those notes to your locker. He remained quiet with a very flustered look on his face that screamed 'yes'.
"Sorry for the abrupt question. But from the look on your face, I'm gonna say that it's a yes."
"Uh- well- I-"
His voice became quiet when he felt something warm being placed on his lips.
It was your lips.
It wasn't a much of a passionate kiss, more like a quick and nervous kiss.
As you broke the kiss, you stepped back and looked downwards.
"Holy shit. I actually just did that."
Your face became red, so did Chuuya's. Yet when you looked at him again, you saw delight in his eyes.
"When I started getting the notes, I was really confused. I thought the person dropped them off at the wrong locker at first. But when I kept getting them again and again, I got even more confused. I was confused at the fact that anyone could see what you saw in me. You understood me and what I was going through from afar, and you showed me that by writing me little notes that made my day all the time. Because of that, I had something to look forward to everyday."
Chuuya stared at you, taking in each word you were saying. Although he didn't know what to say himself, each word that came out of your mouth filled him with a bit more happiness each time.
"Basically what I'm just trying to say in a really long and heartfelt way is: thank you. And I reciprocate your feelings as well. If you couldn't tell when I kissed you."
You looked down at the floor yet again, not knowing what to do or say next.
That's when you felt your chin being lifted up. And Chuuya being a lot closer to you than you remember. Your eyes widened.
Chuuya's face neared yours, and your lips touched yet again. This time, it was much softer, much more intimate and passionate. The hand that wasn't grabbing your chin was placed on your waist, causing you to let out a small gasp. Chuuya took this as an opportunity to explore every inch of your mouth with his tongue, the grip on your waist getting slightly tighter.
The kiss soon broke, much to your dismay. Due to lack of oxygen and the fact that people were near, not wanting to see their eyes on the two of you as you guys were nearly having a make out session. The two of you gasped for air as you two stared at each other.
"Does this mean that we're, y'know... a thing?" Chuuya asked hopefully.
With swollen lips, you smiled and nodded. "If you want us to be a thing, then yeah."
He smiled in relief.
"Hey"
"Yeah?"
"Have you spent the money I gave you earlier?"
You shook your head. "No. Why?"
"Well, I thought maybe I could take you on a date instead of you going to Starbucks. I mean, if you don't mind."
You grasped his hand and intertwined your fingers.
"I would love that."
