The sun slowly rose above the all-glorious Camp Half-Blood. Everyone's hopes of not finding another war for a few long centuries seemed to be coming true with 3 months of peace. They didn't know what to expect.

A 17-year-old boy, with rotten luck, came out of his cabin, to practice sword-fighting. The young boy, with the worst luck in the world, was the one and only Percy Jackson. The poor boy had changed some of his habits. He always woke up early, and practiced sword fighting, alone, with no one nearby.

He walked alone to the training arena and took out his sword. He pointed it at the dummies and attacked them, thinking of them as monsters. His skills in sword-fighting were unmatched. He was a better swordsman than he was ever, and that meant the best one in a few millenniums. His tactics were unknown, and his agility was a simple blur.

The dummies were soon lying on the grounds. Percy was getting scared of himself. He damaged the 12 dummies in 19 seconds. Which was 4 seconds less than the last time. He had discovered some new powers and never intended on using them on others. He could boil blood and ichor. He could vanish in the air with water. And he could teleport using the vapor in water. He was growing more and more hesitant to use his powers. And last but not least, he could control the water in people's bodies, to make them do whatever he wants. A thing he never wanted to do.

All he wanted was to forget those powers. People would say they were cool, but he knew differently. Power increases the evilness in humans. And he has resisted his growing urge to overthrow the Olympians since he gained the last powers. He sure did not like most of the Olympians, but he also did like a few of them.

The urge to make floods, to overthrow the gods, to run the world, had made him want to kill himself. Because he knew was a threat. A threat to the world. And resisting that urge made him more tired. One could most often see dark shadows under his eyes. His nightmares had increased, and slowly even Annabeth could not heal them.

That was the usual life of the poor 17-year-old boy. The savior of Olympus. However, in his tragic miserable life was a ray of hope, as if sunlight coming through a peephole inside a dark room.
That ray of hope happened to be Annabeth, soulmate and love of Percy's life. She always stood by Percy to hell or heaven. Percy had planned on proposing to her. Sure, he is too young. But what they had dealt with was enough to scare the living shit out of people.

It was 6 when he finished training. And other people came out to train too. So, he sneaked into the shadows and went back to his cabin. People still thought that he was the same old sea-weed brain. Drooling in his sleep, sleeping late, sassiness, and everything. But no. He was different after Tartarus.

He pretended to sleep late. He was the earliest riser. Other than the 100 eyed guy who happened to be awake all the time. And sassiness. That was to hide the broken Percy behind. He had to remain strong not, for his sake, but for the sake of his friends and for the two camps, who had always seen him as their leader. He did not want that position, but he knew that it was the only reason for the peace between the two camps.

If anything ever happened to his friends for his fault, he would never forgive himself. And that was what kept him going.

Percy jumped onto his bed and took a small rest. But in his mind was going on tactics to propose to Annabeth Chase. He had a ring, given to him by Poseidon. It was pure diamond, and inside where the words, "Together always - Seaweed Brain and Wise Girl".

Poseidon visited him more often. He knew some of the things about his new powers, and always motivated him. He comforted Percy. And Percy started acknowledging him more as father, than as 'Poseidon, lord of the seas'.

He kept pondering in his thoughts, while laying asleep. Until his alarm clock rang and told him it was 7:30. He stepped up from his bed, and walked to the dining space. Everyone was there, and Percy dropped onto his seat. Annabeth saw him from the Athena table and join Percy in his table. Different cabins had different seats and so people from different cabins were not allowed to sit together. However seeing as they were Percabeth and could barely be separated, people gave up trying to make them seat differently. Even Chiron now ignored it as if Annabeth's usual place is beside Percy.

"Hey Wise girl." Percy gave Annabeth a soft kiss on her cheeks.

"Hey Seaweed Brain. You want to meet at the beach during the afternoon?" Annabeth asked.

"Absolutely!" Percy's day immediately brightened. He could give her the ring in the beach. Percy imagined a romantic proposal at the beach and he became all fuzzy constantly thinking about it. To Percy's shock, Annabeth was acting a tad bit weird as well, being a bit more cuddly with Percy. At least no one objected to the PDA as it was everyone's favorite ship in their moment. Percy wondered what was up, but his own feeling of excitement pushed down that thought.

Soon after Percy finished breakfast he headed to Piper's cabin for some pro tips on how to ace as the proposing thing.

"Hey Piper. I am in need of your help." Percy said, once he came across her. On seeing Percy, Piper's face split in a huge grin and a mischievous look in her eyes.

"I think I know of the 'help' you need." She replied cheekily. Percy grinned, and showed her the ring. She took her inside the Aphrodite Cabin.

The afternoon fell quickly for Percy. He made his way to the beach, and found some giggling nymphs on the way, talking about celebrating and a huge event being planned. Percy, like usual, paid no heed to them and proceeded towards the beach.

At the beach, a huge surprise awaited for Percy.

In the sea, a few meters away from the coastline a small but beautiful floating garden filled with red roses awaited Percy. He had no idea that a garden of roses could be grown floating above the sea, but . . . well he lived in the Greek Mythology. So anything was possible.

"Come over here, Percy!" Annabeth shouted from the garden, once she spotted Percy. Percy smiled on seeing her. He took out the box he brought, which contained the ring. He kept the small box safely in his pocket and went towards the floating garden.

Percy walked up the stairs to the garden. Once he reached the top, Annabeth came towards him.

"I need to say something to you." Annabeth said.

"I need to say something to you as well." Percy replied.

"Sure, you go first."

"Actually you go first." Percy said, thinking that considering the speech was quite long, he would say it after hearing what Annabeth had to say.

"Alright. So, this is . . . kinda awkward for me, but it feels perfect. So, don't laugh if I mess this up. 'kay?"

Percy nodded wondering what Annabeth wanted to say. Annabeth took a deep breath before speaking.

"Percy, the first words I said to you were 'you drool when you sleep', and I found that very cute. I want to see you drool every time you sleep and I also think that you won't survive a single day without me. And I won't survive without you as well. So, will you honor me by being my handsome loyal and faithful fiancรฉ?"

Annabeth bent down and knelt in front of Percy in the proposal way and held out an open box containing a diamond ring.

Percy stood in front of her gaping like a fish unable to speak like a normal human. Well true that he was not a normal human, but you get the point I believe.

Annabeth laughed at seeing Percy's dumbstruck expression.

"Stop gaping like a idiot and say 'yes', you dumbhead!"

Percy stopped gaping and closed his mouth.

"Yea- yea- I mean YES! OF COURSE! YES!" Percy shouted, exhilarated beyond words.

"Now put the ring in my finger fish-head!"

Percy took out the ring from Annabeth's box and noticed the words engraved on it: "Together always: Seaweed Brain and Wise Girl".

"You asked the makers to write exactly this?" Percy asked smiling.

"Yep. Now can you put it around my finger? It's hurting to stay like this!"

Percy slid the ring around Annabeth's fingers and kissed the back of her hand, lifting her up like a prince of the medieval age.

"Thank you, ser. Your chivalry has impressed me." Percy pulled Annabeth towards him and sealed their lips together. The kiss went on until both of them needed to breath.

Once they broke the kiss, Percy knelt in front of Annabeth and took out the diamond ring box which he had brought.

"Surprised?" Percy smirked.

"Oh my gods! You planned to propose to me on the same day I planned to propose to you?"

"Yes milady. Seems like our fates themselves want this to happen. Can I start my speech now?" Percy asked. Annabeth had a goofy smile on her face as she nodded.

"Wise girl. You are the light in my life. I can't imagine a single day of my life without you by my side. We have been through Olympus and Tartarus together and I am willing to do all that again if I have you by my side. I have loved you since the first day I saw you. Will you do me the honor of being my fiancรฉe and be forever by my side?"

Annabeth was at a loss of words. It was quite rare when she was unable to know what to say.

"Put this ring around my finger. You already have one and we can have matching rings after this."

Annabeth noticed the words on the ring. It was the same as the ones in her ring.

"Yes, surprisingly they are matching. The fates must be going crazy right now." Percy said, seeing Annabeth checking out the ring.

"I am going crazy right now." Annabeth spoke softly putting the ring around Percy's finger.

"I love you, Wise Girl."

"I love you more, Seaweed Brain."

They kissed again as the sun began setting on the horizon of the sea. It was truly beautiful. The couple intertwined, with the orange sun behind them, as if Apollo was giving the couple his blessings.

Unfortunately the moment could not last long. From behind Annabeth a black vortex opened up and Nico Di Angelo came out of the shadows. Percy and Annabeth broke the kiss to notice Nico, who was completely covered in mud and grim.

"Percy I have bad news. You need to come. Now.
