A growing feeling of heaviness collapsed onto Adrain's shoulders turning away from looking up at the night sky of facing the creature in front of him. Their flowing red cape as the wind blew along with their slick black strands of hair as they stood at lengthy height with their head slightly bowed.
"Never once had I stepped foot among this land.." The creature spoke as it turned its head to face one of the red apples started to drip with its staining red dew "..of course not until as of recent when I had sensed peculiar magic being used."
"How could you have come here?" Adrian questioned feeling uneasy and ready to be defensive watching as the creature took interest in the red dripping apples as it twisted one from the delicate branches and took a bite.
"Your mother had said you were arriving home late. I took it upon myself to see what it could be that has my sons or distracted. Now I see why might I say you have Francis's quite the creature, that is human?"
Adrian couldn't think of what to say. Looking at the ground as his eyes darted around trying to find something to say but he couldn't.
"Return home I wish you not to see that human anymore, do you understand?" His father questioned while tossing that apple to the side once finished.
Watching silently as his father walked past him not seeming to care for the fact that he told on whom he could no longer see. "She is a different human father she does fear us!" Adrian spoke trying to reason but knew this could go horribly wrong.
His father seemed to stop only for a moment "That human is the very reason as to why I am heading to the church. She is not human at all she is the very center of what hell is!" His father stated not having any more patience.
Brushing out your damp hair with a soft wooden comb as you looked in the mirror of your dressing table. Hearing the whistles of the wind outside of the oncoming rain clouds with rolling thunder being heard in the distance.
A sudden ghost of ringing could be heard from down the corridor just outside your chambers. Some of the younger girls inside the room heard the ringing as well, all looking at each other in question.
Drowned screams echoed among the cold stone halls from below the stairs where the nuns and priests all slept.
A loud stomping sound reverberated as it seemed to get faster with each step. All the girls in the room all jumped back when one of the nuns came and slammed the door, of course, no one was able to see which nun it was as he or she was now blocking the wooden door with all their body weight.
Muttering of a jumbled prayer could be heard on the other side as the fear started to seep into every living soul. Jumping back and hugging the bedsheets out of instinct just before noticing the top of the window had been giving whispers of the storm's wind.
Quickly you tied the silk bed sheet and tied it to yourself before struggling to step onto one of the wooden stools with the fear of tumbling and breaking an ankle very much existing. Using the light of the candles along the stone walls to guide your trembling hands.
Pathetically looking back just at the door had been splintered from the wall causing a jolt of fear to course through your body generating hesitation to lock your hands onto the stone outline of the window you were about to escape from.
All the girls screamed as they swarmed to the corners like scared animals. Watching as a shadow-like being started walking inside slowly as if to intimidate any who would be amenable to run. Just as you were able to make your departure there was an extra moment of being able to catch the glimpse of red eyes that followed when falling.
Heavy breathes that turned into small coughs as you desperately looked for any way of escape from the orchard. Finding it only convenient to run through the actual orchard and make haste for the pines across the river.
Having to make stops was on your mind but that just caused the paranoia of being caught even sooner to come about. There were only a few basket houses out in the orchard that on only a few occasions would personages be allowed to speed shelter there.
Taking shelter in one would benefit as the houses were never bothered to be cleaned making it easy to cover up your scent. Shivering at the thought of having to be smelling like someone's afterbath wasn't all that great but it's worth it for surviving.
Looking up at the stars feeling calm with the lullaby of the crickets allowing your mind to escape as you started to approach the house only to be halted when being grabbed by both shoulders and forced to turn around.
"The devil comes to take a bid on us!"
Looking at the priest in front of you startled when noticing their left hand was missing and all there was as a replacement was a blood-dripping rag.
Pulling yourself immediately away running until stopping into the orchards clearing. No longer hearing the cricket's lullaby as you looked around trying to see for which way to take next.
"Come to an end have we?" Came a playful voice from behind. Looking over your shoulder seeing the bloody priest from before only to be holding one of the girl's bodies in his hand as his face was twisted into a pained expression.
"Now I can finally cast this cursed demon way!" They suddenly yelled causing you to jump and clasped a hand over your nose and mouth as a dreadful smell rose among the sweet blood apples.
A red glow formed underneath blinding you to where your eyes were watering yet still could make out the symbols that were now spinning within the circle. A sudden force of wind forces you to the center as dark hands started to wrap around your body.
Your mouth would not obey to making any words as the hands started to crush around your arms and legs. Your heart was racing where its beats could be heard in your ears as you watched the priest laugh hysterically as the blood from the circle enveloped your body as you were thrown into the air seeing a red moon for the first time in your life as the hands of death corrupted your body with indentations.
Like a flicker of an oil light being turned on. Sitting in the circle as you stared down at your blood-stained hands. Watching as the circle hovered over your hand watching all the cryptic words and symbols move about.
"Possessive details. Forced onto a young soul such as yours. Shall I grant you the mercy of not remembering to aid in the pain for which I even not the power to remove?"
