The sun was bright but it felt unwelcoming. Grazing your knuckles against the stone castle steps watching the village children walk as the other villagers start to build what is to be a town surrounding the otherwise grounded castle.
Glancing across watching as the trio rejoiced to be together again. You would too have your leg not broken during the battle making you sit on the steps like some scolded dog. Although for whatever reason your mind seemed to bring up the option of leaving.
Had it perhaps the way Adraine and Greta were talking and laughing while you sat ideally awkwardly?
When glancing at Greta and seeing her helping with the children and elderly it made you feel envious. All the time being in a grundy church had only hindered your ability to feel compassion for others. Even as she smiles now at him, it makes it like you missed out.
Having been raised in a closed-off environment she can travel and help others. Looking back now traveling on your own you hadn't stopped to help others for the suspicion of them being a henchmen of Dracula.
Pressing your lips together. Watching ants cross the stone steps. She had more to offer to him than you entirely did
"You shouldn't be walking. You are still injured" Greta scolded but you waved her off adjusting your cloak and tout bag before hobbling onto the path to the orchard.
"I'll live" You grunted ignoring the numb feeling in your leg
Hand on her hip, quirking her eyebrow "Well, where are you heading?" Greta asked curiously given you hadn't spoken in the last few days since the battle. At least not to her.
Looking over your shoulder, giving Greta a small smile "Home. Feel like going home."

Glancing out of the window pane seeing the distant glow of the castle from afar in the night. Curious about how the town has come to grow despite only having a week when left.
Maybe Adrain had found happiness as you wished Greta to show him. You aren't far and he knew the directions, after all, he loved apples.
It was the role of soft thunder that had you closing the curtain before walking to the plush bed that had been prepared by the shadows at your asking. This curse was starting to find more useful things.
Although the few nights had been lonely without any company aside from the villagers outside. Taking the liberty of making a journal telling what had happened at the church up to the defeat of Dracula.
It feels selfish to have left without leaving a form of goodbye. Even when laying your head down against the soft pillows and fixing your nightgown to cover your knees. The feeling for Adrain hadn't gone away nor did it grow.
Closing your eyes as the candles illuminating the room started to dim sleeping to the soft rolling thunder.

Many years had since passed and much had been forgotten but never an interaction like this.
Adrian Tepes couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the figure before him. It was Y/N, his one true love, the person he thought he had lost so many years ago. Standing in front of him was the woman who vanished without a word, the girl he had thought was gone forever.
Adrian had been searching for Y/N for decades, using every resource he had to try to find her. It wasn't easy but he never gave up hope and he never stopped looking. But now, here she was, standing before him in the twenty-first century.
At first, Adrian simply couldn't believe it. He felt like he was in a dream and that this person couldn't possibly be the person he had known so many years ago. But as the shock wore off, he noticed the small tell-tale signs that gave away Y/N's true identity.
She had somehow managed to survive all this time and make it to the present day when their friends and past lovers had long since perished.
Adrian was overcome with emotion and he fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face. He couldn't believe that he had been so lucky and that his beloved Y/N was still alive after all these years.
Y/N ran up to Adrian and wrapped her arms around him tightly. They both just stayed like that for a few moments, not caring who was watching or what anyone else thought of them.
As they separated, they looked into each other's eyes and Adrian finally realized how blessed he was. The love of his life was standing before him, even after all these years.
Adrian reached out and took Y/N's hands on his own, their fingers intertwining. He had spent so long searching for the love of his life, and finally, he had found them.
Adrian knew that no matter what happened in the future, he would always be grateful that he had been able to reunite with Y/N and relive their love once more.
