Sweet crisp air flowed from the woven basket held delicately in leather gloves. Brightly red ripened apples decorated the basket as hair flew amongst the wind like ribbons. Thankful for the orchard to remain isolated from the outside. A smile crested upon your lips wondering what recipes to use for the fruit inside your basket.

Thoughts of what Adrian could be done without your presence. From your three-day trip away from the castle, it seemed much faster rather than one would say it would have felt like forever. It felt like things were stuck when Trevor and Sypha had left the castle leaving, having no quests to accomplish asides from integrating Adrian to enjoy the outside more than stay inside and dwell on memories holding both the good and the bad.

The baskets woven handle made a merciful snap startling you to stop walking. Holding the basket up to eye level inspecting the damage of your basket. A strand had broken its old straw poking at your gloves. Letting off a soft sigh looking up the rode having not much farther to walk as the highest point of the castle could be seen peeking from beyond the trees.

The castle never felt unwelcoming when entered. To those outside most would be intrigued while others would look from afar. Isolation never bothered to impede your mind as there were books to read much of being science and engineering new accouterments.

"I'm back" calling out to the vampire from wherever he might be. Setting your basket on the wooden counter before taking your gloves off and setting them on the dining table behind. Taking the red apples and washing them in a basin of fresh water for the future result of lucent clean fruit. Having been focused on the red color of the apples that your focus had been taken away from your surroundings. At times it was subconscious from the way of being raised in the orphanage.

"Those must be the reddest apples I have ever seen."

A nod was evoked as you dried the apples in a clean cloth hanging from its wall hanger next to the spice rack.

"I plan to use them in a dessert for later. Although if you must you may have one" Holding up one of the cleaned apples to the vampire that stood behind you have been watching since the very moment you left.

Adrian took a bite emitting a loud crunch just from one bite. His golden eyes glanced over watching as you group the remaining apples into a wooden bowl. The time of your short departure brung the worry that you might not return. While your curse was broken it did not give a means for your powers to disappear. Nonetheless, Adrian felt grateful for your trueness and devotion to making him feel important.

"If you hadn't had lunch then I can make something for you." grabbing at your basket blindly placing your palm over the pointed straw having yet been fixed. Retracting your hand back inspecting the puncture as blood trickled down your wrist.

"Seems you've become careless with your memories having returned" Adrian jested lifting your palm gently to inspect. Most times when having injured yourself you never made a fuss due to not liking the attention. If anything, attention made things worse.

"It'll clot Adrian. It's nothing more than a small puncture" you quip looking at your palm to avoid direct eye contact. Love for one another was there but it seemed both of you still had some minor insecurities.

Adrian hummed at your flamboyant gest glancing at the woven basket seeing where you had injured yourself noticing how the piece of straw seemed short. His eyes glanced back at your palm with the splintered straw sticking from underneath that it would seem like discolored flesh.

"Not unless you wish to have straw living in your hand" Adrian pulled a chair for him to sit paying close attention to your wound as he used his fingers to delicately nudge the splintered straw.

It felt strange for someone to care about you. In the orphanage, it was strict rules and biblical texts that made you question that if god made everything then why does he hide from his own creations. God meant nothing, if he hadn't left then you wouldn't have become like this but you also wouldn't have met Adrian or the others something you would never trade not even your own soul.

"Now all it needs is a bandaged and time to heal" Adrian lightly patted your hand before looking up to be met with a soft kiss.

A light blush glowed upon your cheeks soft and warm. "If I was to ever be parted from you. Then my world would stop."
