Cassidy's POV:

It was a day that passed when luckily Duchess Rowena gave us a day of relaxation where we did our favorite things for the first time since she arrived

Where Genevieve was talking to Papa in hopes of changing his mind about Duchess Rowena teaching us

It was currently nighttime when we were in our bedroom, wearing our nightgowns when our younger sister was in her bed, telling us how her conversation with Papa goes

"He won't listen. He thinks Rowena's... helping us." Genevieve frowned

"This can't go on forever." Blair says before she looks at us "Can it?" She asked

When Ashlyn walked to the triplets, who were sitting on the end of Genevieve's bed, patting Lacey's left shoulder as the triplets looked at her "At least tomorrow will be a good day." She hoped

"Will we have cake?" Lacey asked as she clapped

Ashlyn dropped her hand from Lacey's shoulder when our second to the youngest sister spoke "Presents?" Kathleen asks, earning Lacey and Ashlyn's attention

"A party?" Janessa asked

"It's your birthday, isn't it?" Genevieve states causing the triplets to laugh

Then we walked away from Genevieve's bed and to our own respective beds to get some sleep where the triplets were very excited about their beds

The Next Morning:
The Triplets' Birthday~

It is the next morning where me, Courtney, Blair, Delia, Fallon, Ashlyn, Edeline, and Genevieve have gotten up early we placed three chairs into a circle, and then placed rose petals into wooden baskets

Before we walked to the triplets who were still sleeping, before Isla and Hadley were also awake and smiled as they walked behind Genevieve

Genevieve glances behind her where it was the twins "Shh!" She gently shushed them and then looked back at the sleeping triplets

Before she begins singing the birthday song,

Genevieve:
Today it is your birthday
and we sing to let you know,

Hearing Genevieve singing made the triplets smile, waking up

Genevieve:
that you will be queen for the day,
whatever you say goes.

The triplets laughed at the thought of being queens for today

"Happy birthday, girls." Genevieve wished them a wonderful birthday

Before our triplet sisters get out of their beds in excitement.

Where a few minutes later, we had the triplets sat down in their 'thrones' in the middle of the room

Before Ashlyn grabbed her flute and started playing as Fallon grabbed her harp and started playing creating beautiful music

Where we grabbed our wooden baskets and started dancing around the triplets in a circle, throwing rose petals

Blair, Courtney, Cassidy, Delia, Edeline, Genevieve, Hadley, and Isla:

We threw the petals on the triplets before bowing at them, making them smile and laugh at the falling petals

Blair, Courtney, Cassidy, Delia, Edeline, Genevieve, Hadley, and Isla:
and we bow before the queens.

Then the triplets got up from the chairs where me, Ashlyn and Delia moved to the side before we made a tunnel for the triplets to walk through, while Genevieve was watching on the side, clasped hands as Ashlyn and Fallon still playing the instruments

Blair, Courtney, Cassidy, Delia, Edeline, Genevieve, Hadley, and Isla:
we sing because we love you
and we sing to let you know
that you will be queens for the day...

Then all of a sudden, Desmond opens the bedroom door, with Rowena walks in causing us to gasp in shocked

"You're late!" Rowena scolds us, her hands clasped

The triplets walked to Genevieve who raised her right hand a bit "Your Grace, we were celebrating a special birthday." She explained

"That's no excuse! Until you learn etiquette, the celebrations will wait." Rowena scolds not seeing the big importance

Genevieve walked forward "But, we were just dancing. Mother made it a family tradition." She says before informing her

"Hmm. And sadly, your mommy is not here anymore, is she?" She remarked insensitive

"And I am responsible for your upbringing. So dancing is forbidden strictly forbidden," Rowena remarked then forbidding by raising her pointer finger

"And please, don't sing! It's out, too!" Rowena added, shaking her hands and pointing to Kathleen

Lacey walked forward looking at Rowena "But it's our birthday." Lacey stated

"A princess does not talk back." Rowena scolded her causing her to frown and walk towards me where I hugged her

"No dancing until you know how to act like royalty." Rowena reminded us

Nighttime:

A day passed where we wore the same grey as yesterday as Rowena was teaching us more etiquette lessons but the triplets were sad that Papa had forgotten their birthday seeing that he hadn't wished them a wonderful birthday

Right now we were in our bedroom where we grabbed the books that Mother had gifted us when we turned five years old

As the triplets were talking about Papa forgetting with Janessa sitting criss-cross on her bed, Kathleen walked to the bed and Lacey approached her two sisters

Lacey looks at Janessa, asking "Where's Papa? He's never forgotten our birthday."

Then Ashlyn walks by the triplets with her copy of 'The Dancing Princess' in her hand along with Kathleen's copy "We still have a present for you." She said, getting their attention

Genevieve and I walked to Lacey with Genevieve holding Lacey's copy of 'The Dancing Princess' in her hands

"When we turned 5, Mother gave each of us a copy of her favorite story," Genevieve told them, handing Lacey's copy of the book to her

Before I smiled at Lacey who was looking at her book as I held my book

Ashlyn glances at us before looking back at the triplets "She had one made for each daughter." Ashlyn, showing her copy of the book

Lacey opened her book "'The Dancing Princess.'" Lacey read the title page before flipping

Then Lacey asked Genevieve to read them the story that we loved so, which Genevieve agreed to read the tale to us, mainly to the triplets

We surrounded Genevieve who was sitting on Janessa's bed as she continued reading the tale

"'So the princess danced on each of the special stones. Then, on the 13th one, she twirled 3 times. And a secret door opened.'" Genevieve read

"Where did it go?" Janessa asked

Genevieve flipped to the second page, continued reading

"'She walked through a glowing light into a magic land. With trees of silver and gold! Flowers made of jewels.'"

She flipped to the third page glancing at Lacey and then at Janessa and Kathleen

"'Across the lake was a golden pavilion. The princess danced and danced to her heart's content. She wanted to stay forever, but that was not to be. The magic land vanished after the 3rd night. The princess was heartbroken until she realized she brought some magic back with her. And it was hers to keep forever.'" Genevieve continued reading as Kathleen and Janessa looked at each other before back at Genevieve

We started heading towards our beds just as Lacey also hopped off of Janessa's bed, holding her book seeing that it was a good moment for heading to bed

"What kind of magic?" Janessa asked

"How did she do it?" Kathleen asked

Genevieve looked at the page for the answer but nothing

"Hmm. It doesn't say." Genevieve answered

Before glancing at Lacey who grunted, accidentally dropping her book, where it slid to her stone on the portal.

Genevieve and I walked towards Lacey and then noticed Lacey's white lily on the book matched Lacey's white lily on the floor.

"It matches..." I said before I looked around and saw my twin sister's flower on the floor matched with her book then saw my flower matched on my book

Genevieve looks at Kathleen "Kathleen, let me see your book." She asks,

Where Kathleen walks over to Genevieve handing her book before Genevieve places the book on Kathleen's stone, which has a daisy on it, just like the book.

Genevieve, Lacey, and I shared a smile before me and Genevieve stood us

Before Genevieve looks at the rest of our sisters "Girls, quick. See if you can match the flower on your book to the flower on a stone." Genevieve told us

"I found my and Courtney's flowers on the stones," I told her, holding my book

Hadley and Isla were also holding their books, walked to find their stones on the floor

Blair who was holding her book, has found hers "I found a match." Blair told her

Courtney walked over to me and we both shared a twin sisterly smile "Like Cassidy said, us too." Courtney placed her book on her stone

Edeline was on the floor, finding her stone "Me too." She added

"Here's mine." Janessa found hers, looking at Genevieve as she held her book

"What does it mean?" Ashlyn asked

"I have a feeling..." Genevieve said before she realized the story.

"Oh, the story says the princess danced from stone to stone," Genevieve remembered, looking at us

Before she stepped on Hadley's stone, then Isla's stone, trying to do the dance but it didn't glow at all, thus it did not work

Genevieve looked around, seeing that it wasn't working before thinking of another idea

"Hmm, maybe a different order. Oldest to youngest!" Genevieve suggested before looking, walking at our oldest sister

"Where's yours, Ashlyn?" She asked, only to receive a pointing to her stone

Genevieve dances on Ashlyn's stone, making it glow, and singed

"Ah haha!" Genevieve smiles seeing that it has worked before looking at Blair

"Blair?" Genevieve asked, Blair smiled, pointing to her stone, and Genevieve danced on it, causing the second stone to do the same effect

Genevieve looked at the floor where the second did glow with her left hand closer to her chest

"Oh, ha ha ha!" Genevieve laughed, glancing at us before dancing on the rest of our stones.

"Courtney, Cassidy, Delia, Edeline, Fallon, me, Hadley, Isla, Janessa, Kathleen, and Lacey."

Genevieve stepped on Lacey's stone, trying to dance but it didn't glow "Huh?" She stepped away from the stone in confusion

"Why didn't mine work?" Lacey frowned, looking at Genevieve

"Perhaps it's missing something, Genevieve. Maybe a dance step" I suggested

Where Genevieve looks at me which she nods, seeing that I was right

"I think you're right Cassidy. The princess twirled 3 times." Genevieve remembered before twirling 3 times, raising her arms, which made 3 choir sounds and glows, then stepping away from the portal so it could open

Then we gasped seeing a portal open from the middle of it.

We were admiring the bright glow and golden sparkling dust as we stepped away from the portal opening so large that we wouldn't fall down.

Soon after the portal is fully open. After the opening process, platforms that look like a staircase appear from the bottom to the top.

"Wow!" Fallen was in awe as she and Edaline smiles at one another

"This is....." I smiled in awe before looking at Courtney who was also in shock and in awe

"Amazingly shocking?" Courtney asked which I smiled nodding

When a golden railing soon appears from the portal Genevieve is the first person to grab onto the railing

Genevieve looks at us "Who's coming with me?" She asked before beginning to walk down the staircase.

We glanced at each other before following Genevieve down the staircase to the golden platform where the pavilion can be seen from far away.

As Twyla was joining us as well.

While we walked down the staircase, the portal closed so the stones could be seen again.

Where hopefully that this unknown world that Mother loved and cherished so dearly is magically wonderful
