Layla's POV

Once the first lessons ended i left shichiro and kalego for them to get food as I headed to the rooftop to meet with opera. Once I got to the rooftop their was a mountain of students piled up with opera sat at the top. He then jumps down to talk to me as we navigate to the edge leaning against the fence as opera start talking "could I ask something of you, your Highness" opera asked not wanting to be pushie.
"like I said the other week, you can call me layla, but ,I don't mind, what is it?" I said reassuring him.

"when we see kalego could you jump on his back?" he requested with his ears and tail perped.
"erm well he might yell at me and I'm not good with dealing with that" I said as opera starts speaking again.
"have you told him this? He's quite the loud person don't you think?" They questioned.
"Erm, well yes he's loud but not to the point that it hurts my ears, but you probably hear it louder than everyone else right? I mean you have two sets of ears" I said painting at their fluffy cat ears.
"well I must admit, I do hear better with the top ones" he replied.
"wait then which ones do you put earphones in" I questioned as he respond "these ones earphones are meant for this shaped ears" he said pointing at the ones on the side as he switched his finger to the cat ones while saying "but if I put them in these they will just fall out" he explained.
"ah- I see, that makes sense" I respond.

We then sat in silence looking at the sky as the door to the rooftop opened which opera sees and then looks at me realizing, I didn't notice so they asked me a question "I have another question if you don't mind answering" they said.
"Mhm?" I said looking at them.
"you do fancy kalego right?" As he said that my face went red as I nervously responded.
"w-well, I think so, i-ive rushed into a relationship before so I just want to get to know him better first before anything".
"that's reasonable, you wanna make sure he'll treat you right" opera said "oh I know he will, but rushing into a relationship forses you to work on your relationship all at once instead of doing it freely" I said as my embarrassment cooled down.
"that doesn't answer my question" opera said as they leaned into me and wispered.
"for instance do you want to marry him?" he said unleashing so many thoughts into my mind as I start to speak "h-huh?!?! marry?! B-but it's too soon for that! W-why are you asking me this??" I said in an embarrassed voice stammering over most of the words.

"I'm asking because they walking into hearing distance" opera said as I turn around to see a red faced kalego and a shichiro who was holding his breath trying not to laugh as he bursted out into laughter after looking at kalego once more, meanwhile my face matches kalego's redness. I felt like a fool, why did I just answer, instead of question why sooner.

"Now he probably haters me, and everything is ruined, I should just leave" I thought so I walked past him without saying a word before I felt a hand on my wrist. "Let go of me" I said as those few words almost broke me into tears.
"No. Just, stay? please?" Kalego said almost desperatly which suprised me.
"I-it's alright, y-you don't have to make me feel better, I-i can just get out of your sight" I said whilst tearing up before I was pulled closer and his left arm was now just below my sholder.

"I don't, want you to leave" he said struggling to get words to be formed through his voice. This suprised me so I turned to face him to see a face full of trouble and struggle. "You. Don't hate me now?" I questioned as my vision became blurry
"oh saten no!" He said struggling to keep himself together "I want the same as you" he explained making me go wide eyed with suprise. "Just some time? That's doable, right?" He asked so I nodded after I hesitated for a little while.

Once we calmed down and sat in a circle in the same positive as a few weeks ago in my room with kalego to my right, opera to my left, and shichiro in front of me. I realized I was getting hungry but not wanting a meal but more of a snack "hey is there a spell for making things apear" I said with opera responding.
"yes but it's forbidden because it basically takes it from other people's property so it's classed as steaing" they said instantly disappointing me and started to speak while leaning back hitting my back on the floor.
"uuuggghhh I wanted a snacckk" I complained dramatically.
"you could have just said so, and we would have got you some food from the canteen" shichiro said.

"no it's fine I've lasted a week without food before I'll be fine" i said catching myself off guard as concerned looks came my way as I start speaking in a panic "w-wait thats not what I ment to say, I ment to say for a full day, wait no I ment-" as I got interrupt.
"your not helping yourself in your situations you know, do you want to talk about it?" He said as I shook my head after I sat myself back up "well alright then, we won't force you" kalego said shocking shichiro and opera with his actions.

After a couple seconds kalego noticed my face pleading for a hug "can i-" I said before getting cut off.
"no" kalego said knowing what I was going to ask for. So I irritated him whilst shichiro and opera were snickering to themselves.
"Plea-"
"no" he said again so I desided to complain.
"oh come oon please?! You allowed me to the other week" I said as the cat and bird gasped as kalego had a pink hue slightly creeping upon his face.

"no!" he said after composing himself which made me look downward as I then remembered opera asking me to jump up at him when I next see him, but before I could I felt kalego's hand grab the side of my rib and pulled me towards him as he puts my head on his sholder which shocked all of us.
"what? This is what you wanted, yes?" He said in a stirn voice with his face looking like he was bothered by me as I realized.
"im sorry, I was acting childish again" I apologized.
"bloody enjoy this instead of sulking because it's the last your going to get!" Kalego said as I looked up at him with eyes that said 'really'.
"we both know, that, that is a massive lie" I said as both shichiro and opera started snickering as I wrapped my arms around his tourso as I burrow my head into his chest. As kalego was left to put his arms around me placing his hand on my hip feeling me slightly flintch from the sudden touch which wasn't anything new as it happened first in the familiar lesson and then when he comforted me outside of my room.
