Layla's POV

After shichiro and opera left it was just me and kalego in my room we were just sat there reading our books but I had one thought on mind "what would it be like if I were to cuddle up to him, I mean we are both under the covers to get comfortable and in the right mindset to read our book...but I really tempted to crawl up to him" I thought while I was looking at him wondering if I should ask or not but he then looked at me.
"you've been looking at me for a while now, do you need something?" He asked curiously making my face heat up.
"e-erm i was wondering if I could...e-erm... cuddle up to you" as I said that I froze.
"w-wait no n-nevermind it doesn't matter i-its fine" I said stammering over my words with a bright red face, covering it with my book. As I then heard kalego laugh light heartedly.
"it's fine of course you can" he said with us both ending shocked with what he said so I desided to shuffle towards him before he changed his mind. And lifted his arm so I popped my head through his arm and rested my other arm on him, as I wraped my arm around him dropping my book on the other side of him as my eyes start to feel heavy and I fell asleep within minutes which left kalego being the only one awake.

Kalego's POV

We were just reading in layla's room waiting for my parents to come collect me for us to leave. I noticed layla was looking at me for a while now "you've been looking at me for a while now, do you need something?" I said making sure it's not anything bad.
"e-erm i was wondering if I could...e-erm... cuddle up to you" she replied with a huge stammer and a massively red face.
Out of no-where I just said "it's fine of course you can" and I was then shocked that I said that out loud in was trying to think that, not say it out loud. "what is happening to me and why is it now? I've never felt like this after rejecting what it feels to be millions of girls so why is it this one that I can't take my eyes and mind off of" my thoughts get cut of as i see her getting closer to me so I instantly lift my arm and felt her put her head through the gap in my arm from holding the book as she places her hand on my arm to see her reaching her arm across me and place her book down whilst retreating her arm and put it into a V shape resting her hand on my chest slipping the hand that was on my arm up onto the side of my tourso placing her left leg over mine. Her hands were so soft and she was gentle when placing her arms on top of me as she got comfortable i knew that my face was fully red. After I calmed myself I put my arm around her making her feel secure, after a few minutes she fell asleep. After a while I knew I was starting to feel sleepy so I grab my book and put it to the side as I put my right arm over onto her hand as it was on my chest still. Soon after that I fell asleep just how I thought I would.

(After three hours passed by)

Mrs Naberius POV

Me and my husband were talking to the king about how we're pleased that our baby boy finally has someone he can be calm around and not get mad at for anything, explaining how he always had problems with his anger with us then going on to explaining a lot of the events that has happened in his past luckily he was interested too he was also very supprised that him being brought up in a prostegous home made him more aware and had the ambition to live up to the family name with his older brother graduating and started working at border control along-side us. (I have no information about his parents so I'm just making some stuff up that sounds so realistic with Narnia following in his family footsteps as kalego branches out of that family tradition which led to Narnia and kalego not getting along as well as they were when they were kids, anyway continue) the more I talk about it the more I want to talk about more. After talking for a while I realized we've been talking for a while so I looked at the clock for it to be 11:56, which means that we've been talking for three hours since everyone else left "oh my I didn't realize how much we've been talking, I'll go get kalego and I'll see you another time" I said trying to not over stay as king derkila desided to follow me to the room along with Orinon being suspicious on why he hasn't come down after being in a female's room alone for this long. Once we got to the room we knocked on to get no reply so we desided to just go in. And once we saw then we were in utter shock to see our son holding a female this close to him as we thought he was aromantic after never bringing anyone home as derkila had no idea how to respond.

Derkila's POV

Once we got to the room we knocked on just to not get an answer which I thought was strange as layla always answers, I started to jump to conclusions thinking that their making out as I rushed into the room just to see his arm around her as they were both asleep. I had no idea how to respond I was relieved that they weren't doing...that...but didn't like him being that close to her yet I do at the same time because it makes her happy "excuse me you highness" She said.
"yes Mrs Naberious?" I replied.
"could I take a picture of them?" She asked confusing me.
"I don't mind, go ahead" as she starts flying above and takes a picture

After she gets down from above them I allow them to stay in one of the spare rooms until morning arrives

(The next morning)

Layla's POV

I start walking up to the feeling of my hair being played with as I look upward to see kalego playing with my hair, as I put my head to where it was previously because I was still tired and he's comfy. I then hear kalego start to speek "sorry did a wake you up? i'll just stop" he said.
"No you didn't, and please continue" I said in response as he then started playing with my hair again.

"Good morning by the way" he said in a more cheerful voice than usual whilst playing with my hair again.
"Mm" I said in a tired voice, opposite to his. As kalego was just about to speek again the door then opened as kalego's head turned towards it to see both his mother and farther at the door, whilst he had a slight hue of pink in his cheeks as my head remains in the same spot not even moved in the slightest.
"good morning kalego, food is ready now so if you could wake layla up that would be lovely" She said as Orinon looked at him with a smirk on his face. Kalego then calms himself before starting to speak.
"she's awake you know" he mentioned now in a completely different tone than he did to me, it's like we was now so much more like he usually was.

"oh apologize I didn't notice, well we'll see you both in the dining room" Shina said as she and Orinon walked out the room.
"Come on let's go get food" he said as I try lifting myself up, but from only just walking up I slip and my face landed right in front of his face as kalego's quick thinking made him put his arms out to catch me from falling further before making everything awkward between us. Both of our faces became red as I push my self of him as fast as I could, covering my face my hands "I'm so so sorry, i-i didn't mean to do that" I said as kalego sat up.
"it's fine you only slipped" he said with his face now only haveing a slight pink hue unlike me who feels like a cluts and horrible for that happening. Kalego them calmed himself and climbed off the bed waiting for me to compose myself.

"Hey it's fine at least nothing happened" he said trying to calm me with that not working.
"b-but w-we were so close t-that is something!" I said stammering through as kalego started to speak.
"I said it's fine did I not? Let's go eat before they start getting suspicious of what's happening" he said as I look up at him from the bed as I crawl over to the edge getting of my bed before we walked over to the door where he composed himself. I open the door and we walked through the hall with me leading the way, since kalego doesn't know where it is. I then compose myself properly as I start talking to kalego.

"hey strange question" I said as he then looked at me.
"what is it?" He asked as I carried on speaking.
"when's your birthday?" I asked. He than took a couple seconds of wondering why I was asking that before he responded
"my birthday is February 14th, you?" He asked

"May 18th" I said in response, as kalego speaks again.
"in 2007?" He asked.
As I respond with "yeah why?".
"That means I'm only three months and four days older than you" he said as I look at him with confusion
"how are you only three months older than me yet your this tall" I said whilst walking into the dinning room getting the attention of the three adults attention as kalego replys to me saying.
"I'm only 6 foot your just small" he said
"I'm not small I'll have you know I'm 5'7!" I said in an angry tone as he gives a little laugh, with Mr and Mrs Neberius looking at him with skock as he didn't try holding in his laugh like he usually does. We sat down at the table with me saying good morning to the three adults at the table with them responding with the same as we start eating with farther starting a conversation.

When we finished our food the Neberius' had to take their leave. "I'll see you on the 6th then?" Kalego questioned as I nodded along with saying 'Mhm' I then hugged him shocking the Neberius'.
"Bye bye" I said as he wrapped his arms around me.
"Goodbye" he said with a bit of amusement in his voice as he unraps his arms from around me placing them on my shoulders while saying in an amused voice "why are you upset I'll be seeing you in a few weeks" he, said whilst comferteing me.
"I know but I will miss you until then, you know" I said whilst hiding my pout as he laughs slightly, making his parents shocked yet again, as he walks out with his parents following behind as I run to the window waiting for him to turn around to wave as he does along with his parents, making me happy and waved back to them as farther stood behind me waveing alongside me.

When I was going to leave to go to my room before my farther stopped me "you like him, don't you?" He said as my face heated up "e-er w-well ,sorta?" I said fiddling with with my dress as if I was a little child as he kneals next to me. "look I care for you like a real daughter that I never got to have, and I really want you to be happy alright" he said as I looking at him with shock and sympathy as he carried on "the drink I gave you, it was made by half my powers aswell as my ex-partners, she is an angel but once other angles found out they thought I was trying to hurt and manipulate her in some way so they took her away from me. And to do that I had to have some of both our DNA in it making you my real daughter" he explained.

"i- I don't know how to respond, I'm sorry you had to go through that, but I'm thankful that you took me in, I see you like a real farther aswell... but... what has this got to do with me and kalego?" I said with sympathy going into confusion.
"well you two remind me of myself, and I will allow you to be together, but if he hurts you I'm killing him" he said making me laugh. Once my laughter stopped I hugged him.
"thank you farther, really I mean it" once I said that he hugged me and I could tell that he was tearing up a little but restrained himself as I deside to go to my room for a while.
