the soft glow of morning light spilled through the curtains, waking me gently from a dream. as my eyes fluttered open, confusion washed over me. i wasn't in my room. i was nestled under a warm blanket, and the familiar scent of louis enveloped me. my heart raced for a moment as i processed my surroundings, but as soon as i caught sight of him beside me, his relaxed form taking up most of the bed, a wave of calm washed over me.

the memories of last night flooded back, the party, the laughter, and the way he held me close as we swayed to the music. we had left the party early, retreating to his place when the noise became too overwhelming, and it felt like we had slipped into our own little world.

i shifted slightly, realizing how close we were. his arm was draped over me, and i could feel the warmth radiating from him. part of me was tempted to nudge him awake, but another part relished this peaceful moment. i'd never imagined waking up next to him would feel so right.

after a few minutes of just watching him, i couldn't help but smile. even in his sleep, he looked effortlessly handsome, his hair tousled and that little smile lingering on his lips. it made my heart flutter. i loved how easy it was to be around him, how he made everything feel lighter.

"louis," i whispered softly, nudging him gently. he groaned, pulling me closer as if trying to block out the world. "come on, sleepyhead. we can't stay in bed all day."

"five more minutes," he murmured, burying his face deeper into the pillow.

i chuckled at his stubbornness, feeling giddy from the sweetness of the moment. "if you keep saying that, we might just miss breakfast," i teased, inching away slightly but still feeling the warmth of his body against mine.

"breakfast can wait," he replied, his voice muffled but still playful. "you're too comfortable."

i let out a soft laugh, my heart racing. "you're unreal."

"yeah, but you like it," he shot back, cracking one eye open to meet my gaze. there was a mischievous glint in his eyes that sent a thrill down my spine.

"maybe you're right," i said, biting my lip to hide my smile. "but i really do want pancakes."

"you and your pancakes," he teased, finally rolling onto his back and stretching. i watched as his muscles flexed, the sunlight catching the edges of his body. "fine. but only if you promise to make them the way you like."

"that's a deal," i replied, finally managing to sit up. i ran a hand through my hair, trying to tame the wild strands that had escaped my messy bun. "but first, i need to freshen up."

"i'll join you," he said, swinging his legs over the side of the bed and yawning widely. "can't let you have all the fun."

after a quick trip to the bathroom, we found our way to the kitchen. the familiar scents of coffee and something sweet filled the air as i gathered the ingredients for our pancake breakfast. i could hear louis rummaging around in the cabinets, looking for the mixing bowl.

"so what do you have planned for today?" he asked, leaning against the counter, watching me with those piercing eyes that seemed to see right through me.

"i'm not really sure," i admitted, glancing over my shoulder. "maybe work on some new art pieces? i've been inspired lately, especially after the showcase."

"you should show me," he said, his tone sincere. "i want to see what you've been working on."

"really?" i asked, surprised by his enthusiasm.

"of course! your art is amazing, and i want to support you however i can," he said, a genuine smile spreading across his face. "and who knows? maybe i'll get inspired too."

his encouragement sent a warm rush through me. "that would be great. i love sharing my work with you."

after breakfast, I felt a rush of energy. "do you want to take me home?" i asked. "i can show you some of my art pieces."

"sure," he replied, grabbing his keys. "let's go."

we hopped into his car, and as he started driving, i settled into the passenger seat. i watched him as he navigated the streets, the way he focused on the road with a relaxed confidence. the familiar warmth of the moment enveloped me, and then i noticed his hand casually resting on my leg. it sent butterflies fluttering in my stomach.

"you okay?" he asked, glancing over at me, a teasing smile playing on his lips.

"yeah, just... thinking," i replied, trying to play it cool, but i could feel my cheeks heat up.

"about what?" he prompted, his thumb gently brushing against my thigh, making my heart race.

"you know, how lucky i am to be here," i said, trying to keep my voice steady. "with you."

"you really are a charmer, aren't you?" he laughed, his touch feeling both comforting and electrifying at the same time. "but i'm glad you feel that way. i'm pretty lucky too."

we drove in comfortable silence for a while, the tension between us growing with every passing moment. every time his thumb brushed against my skin, i felt a jolt of excitement.

"so, what's your favorite piece of art that you've done?" he asked, his eyes focused on the road but his tone curious.

i thought for a moment, "probably the one inspired by the sunset at the beach. it just felt so alive. the colors blended perfectly."

"sounds beautiful," he replied, genuinely interested. "i can't wait to see it."

as we pulled up to my cottage, i felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. showing him my work felt like unveiling a part of myself, and the thought of it made me both anxious and thrilled.

"here we are," i said, glancing over at him as we parked. "are you ready for this?"

"bring it on," he said with a grin, his hand still resting on my leg as we both climbed out of the car.

together, we walked inside, and i could feel the anticipation building. i was eager to share my world with him, but more than that, i was thrilled to be sharing this moment with someone who truly appreciated me.
