"Hey, I'll be back."

Y/n's POV
I hum in response to Gregory as he slips out of the office. Vanessa's fingers hit the keyboard with some loud clicks and clacks. To be fair, I wasn't paying full attention when he did leave the room. My eyes were focused on what Vanessa was in the middle of writing. Nothing else, really.
Shortly, however, I realized Gregory was still missing. I'm pretty sure it's been like, ten minutes? I'm not sure. It could've been longer, could've been shorter. But I'm concerned. This place we're in isn't huge, so he wouldn't have gotten lost or anything... I think? I hope...
I glance from around the room to Vanessa and the things she was typing. I watch her press enter, then a file pops up. It's another code. She groans and runs a hand through her hair before continuing to type.
"Hey Ness, I'm gonna go search for Greg." I speak up after about five minutes. Vanessa nods her head. I turn to walk out of the office. The lights flicker as I walk down the old and dusty halls. I observe the area, the tiled floor sticking up and some tiles were removed from the floor, some plants were even growing from under them. There were vines growing up the walls, and the place was super dusty.
Tables were flipped over, chairs were thrown around, and the stage looks as if you step on it, it'd fall in. I explore around the place, then move the purple curtain, even if it was already ripped and dirty. He wasn't in there. I hum and move to another door and open it, looking around the room. Boy is this place dusty...
I move around the room. No Gregory. I exit the dark room and to the bathrooms. No one in there, either. I furrow my eyebrows. Where could he be? Ugh, I swear, if he's getting-- a loud clank echoes through the room causing me to jump and spin around. I see Gregory, who seems to have been sneaking around under my nose this whole time. I need to practice my observation skills.
"Where have you been?" I ask, placing a hand on my hip as I walk over to him.
He looks at me in silence for a few moments before moving his hand to the back of his head, his expression and demeanor turning sheepish. "Sorry, I was just exploring. I didn't want to sit in that dusty old office forever, you know?"
I hum and watch him for a few seconds before shrugging. I found it a bit weird in honesty, but it's whatever. "Well, alright. That's understandable."
He nods his head until Vanessa calls for us. A little disappointed since I wanted to explore myself, I followed Gregory back to the office. "Yeah Ness?" He asks as he enters the room.
We nod our heads and watch as Vanessa exits the room. I look at Gregory and he looks back at me when he realizes I'm looking at him. "What?" He asks.
"This is kinda weird." I reply.
"I guess?" He shrugs his shoulders and walks out of the room.
I furrow my eyebrows slightly. That seemed a bit dry of him, but it's whatever. We're all pretty tired, anyway, so...
The way back to the Pizzaplex was even worse than the way down here. We had to squeeze our way through a crack just big enough for all of us to fit through, but the wall was damp and I cringed at the texture of it. Eventually we got out of the crack, reaching a staircase. I sigh but follow the other two in heading up the stairs. It wasn't that big of one, and after exiting through a door, Vanessa leads us back out of the Plex.
Once we reach home we noticed how it was one am, but none of us seemed to care too much. Well, except Freddy. "Friends! Where have you been?" He asks, placing his hands on his hips while looking down at us. How tall is he...?
"Sorry it took us a while." Vanessa apologizes. "We just had a hard time figuring out a way to rid of the virus, and these two ran off to explore." She gestures to us.
I look at her, and shrug. "Sorry to worry you, Freddy."
The robotic bear stares at us and we hear a huff of air being blown out somewhere. Is that his version of farting, or sighing?? I'll ask him later. "Well, I'm gonna go to bed." I turn to Gregory and pull him down to kiss his cheek then turns away after letting him go. "Love you."
"Love you too." He replies.
"Good night Y/N." Vanessa says.
"Have a good night's rest, Y/N! I will be making eggs for when you awake." Freddy replies in a happier tone. The other's just sounded tired.
------------------------------
I turn to my side with a huff, then sit up and yawn. What time is it? To answer my question, I look at the clock. Oh... It's four in the morning? Damn. Three hours. Instead of heading back to sleep, I get out of bed and go into the bathroom. Once I take care of that, I hear the front door creep open, and instantly my heart starts to race.
Who is that? A robber? Do they have a gun? Are they gonna kill us? What are they gonna think about Freddy? How will we defend ourselves? Instead of running to someone, I decide to sneak toward it quietly. It's pretty dark, so I can't really see anything, making this choice even worse and more dumb than it already was.
Thunder sounds and the room flashes with a bright light.
I creep closer.

"Gregory?!"
"Shh!" He puts his hand on my mouth. It's wet, and he's using his phone as a flashlight. With the new found light source, I look at him. He must've went outside. "Be quiet." He whispers harshly. I watch a drop of water fall off the end of his hair down his face.
"Oh... Sorry..." I whisper back, removing his hand from my mouth. "It's four am. What are you doing out this late."
He stares at me for a few moments before adverting his gaze and taking a few steps backward. This is a bit suspicious. No, not a bit. A lot.
"I was... Just taking a walk." He mumbles, then takes off his damp sweatshirt and hangs it up. "Sorry to startle you, darling."
My eyes narrow. "A walk? At four? If anything you'd be in your room right now on your phone, knowing you. And it's storming." He shrugs his shoulders and walks past me into the kitchen to open the fridge and grab a snack. "Sorry. I just got a little restless. Anyways, I'm heading to bed." He turns out of the kitchen and walks to his room. "Night."
I watch him and mumble back, "night." That was... Weird..? I'll just go back to bed. I guess...
"Did something happen in the Pizzaplex that I should know about?" I mutter to no one but myself. "Whatever." The room lights up with another white flash and I walk down the hall to my room.
I'll worry about it later. For now, I'm really tired.
