~~Extra chapter 1~~
OML. 4k READS?! Thank you all so much!! Instead of an A/n, I'll be making a special chapter for you all >:). So, this chapter will not be like the original plot, meaning it's not based in the original universe of the other chapters. These chapters will be just, you know, extra. In this Gregory's mom did not pass away/go missing, and your sister isn't a jackass :D. You're meeting him in 6th grade. He was held back a year due to some family things happening. All extra chapters will be held in 3rd person. Friend will be they/them, but you can change it to their original gender. Okay, that's all. Enjoy~
F/n= Friend('s) name
S/n= School name
-------------------------------
It was a nice summer day. Y/n, or you, was walking down the street to your school, (s/n) intermediate (Intermediate school: a school usually holding grades 4-6). You were walking with your friend, (f/n). You look over at them. They look back at you, grinning widely. "Are you excited for the 2nd day of school?!" They asked, practically jumping up and down. You shrug. "I mean, kind of? I guess--" "Oh c'mon! New friends, new teachers, new rooms--- you're not excited?" They asked, their voice lowering to normal, and looked at you. "No, not really. It's all just school to me, honestly." You say plainly. You look at (f/n), who's looking at the ground. Now you feel bad about what you said.
"Hey--- Buddy, it's alright if you like school. I'm just saying my opinion." They nod and look at you. "I know." Once on the steps, you notice a boy being surrounded by two others. You stop and watch as they talk to him. "Hey, Y/n, you comin?" "Huh? Oh! Yeah. I'll be there in a bit." "Okay.." (F/n) walks in to the school, leaving you at the entrance. The boy stands there, looking like he's spaced out at the ground. He's then pushed, which makes you walk over. "Hey! What's going on?" You look at the kid who was pushed, then the boy that pushed him. "Nothin. We were just talking to him." You raise a brow. "So why'd you push him." You say coldly, catching all three boys' attention.
"He wasn't listening." You furrow your brows at his stupid answer. "That doesn't give you the right to push him? That's rude." The guy raises his brow. "Yeah? What you gonna do 'bout it, pretty girl." You frown. "I'll tell the teacher." He rolls his eyes. "Oh. You'll tell the teacher. I'm sooo scared." He says sarcastically, then laughs. You pull him down by the caller of his shirt and stare him dead in the eyes. In a cold, empty voice you whisper; "If you wish to know what I'm capable of, keep testing me." You grin evilly. "But I recommend you don't. There are consequences." You then let him go, and you stare at each other for a few seconds. He then turns to the boy. "Yeah--- Let's go... He ain't worth our time."
The other boy raises a brow. "But-" "Nope let's go." He grabs the guys arm and drags him inside the school, leaving both you and the other behind. You turn to the other kid. "Are you okay?" He quietly nods his head, looking at the ground. "Are you sure?" He nods it again. "Yes, I'm okay." He says bluntly and turns around, walking inside the school. "Damn... No need to be so cold." You mutter, walking in to your locker. You open in and set your bag in, taking what you need and going to your first class, science. After a bit you sit down and notice the boy you saw at the entrance sitting in the back of the room. You stand up and decide to sit next to him.
He looks up at you, then back down at his desk. You notice he's drawing. "Hey," You say softly. He continues what he's doing. "Can I see what you're drawing?" "No." He responds coldly, and moves his arm so you couldn't see anymore. "It's none of your business. Leave me alone." "Okay.." The bell rings and he sits up, putting away the paper and focusing in front of the room. You turn your head from him and towards the whiteboard as well.
----------------------
"That's all for today. See you kids tomorrow." Mr. Brenton finishes as the bell rings. You get your stuff in your arms and go to your locker to put away extra papers. After you did, you saw the boy again, in his locker. You walk up behind the locker door, waiting for him to close it. Once he does, you take your chance to talk. "Why are you so cold to me?" He jumps slightly, then steps back. You let out a small laugh. "Don't do that again." He says, looking at you then quickly looking away. "Because I don't wish to talk to you, or see you." He walks past you to math. "But you are talking to me." He doesn't answer, just continues walking. You run up to him and match his pace.
"But why be so cold? I saved you from those kids earlier." He rolls his eyes. "I don't know why you had to do that in the first place. Would've been fine." He mumbles, the 'I' being too quiet to hear. "Mhm. Sure. It looks like you were just going to-" "Please leave me alone!" He stops and turns to you. You stop in your tracks and steps back. "But why?" "Because I want to be alone. I like being alone. So please, leave me be." He says quietly. You nod, deciding to leave him be until recess.
------------------------
You walk outside and take in a deep breath. The wind has picked up since this morning, and you found it nice to feel against your skin. After you let out the air, you look around. There's kids playing Gaga Ball, Four Square, Basketball, on the playground, and hanging out, but no sign of the brunette haired boy, or the one you were looking for at least. You took a step down the few stairs and started walking towards the Gaga ball pit. Kids are yelling at each other about the rules while a teacher tries to get them settled down. You continue to look around, but see no sign of him.
You start towards the playground, but instead walk past it, seeing the boy also isn't there, and proceed towards the few trees behind it. In the distance you could see a boy in a dark blue hoodie and brown hair sitting down and leaning against the tree with a sketch pad, from what you could see. You start to run over to him. You slow down when you're closer to him, and sit down, looking at what he was drawing. He glances at you, then goes back to what he was doing.
"Wow. That's really good," You say, smiling widely while looking at the art. "You could probably make an anime with that style." You finish, looking at him. He continues drawing lines, and mumbles; "I can't animate." You frown for a second, then look back at the drawing. "Well, it's still really good. I wish I could do that, but I can't draw shit." He smiles at this. "Well, it takes practice." He says, in a less grumpy voice. You raise your brows and look at him like you just seen a pig actually fly.
You smile. You don't exactly know why his tone made you so happy, and neither do I, but you were extremely excited. He looked at you, frowned, and raised a brow. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?" You shrug and look back at his paper. "I don't know," You laugh, then lean on him unintentionally, without noticing. He seems surprised, but then smiles and goes back to his drawing. You both ended up talking for the rest of recess, about stuff like anime, games, and random stuff that came to mind. You realized you both had a lot of the same interests, and that made you want to be friends with him even more then before.
Once you heard a teacher blow their whistle, The boy gets up and holds out his hand to help you up. You decide to grab it, and stand. He smiles a genuine smile at you, making you blush. "So.. I'm Gregory." You nod and look at him for a bit. He raises a brow. "Sorry," You let out a nervous chuckle. "I'm Y/n." He nods and lets go of your hand, making it drop to your side, and you watch him walk away. You smile to yourself for a second, then shake your head and run to the line your supposed to be in. You stand by Gregory, and wait for the teachers to let you go to lunch.
------------------------
After lunch and win 1+2, you have literacy. Literacy, was as boring as always. You spent most of class peeping at the clock, even though you know that'll make it longer then leaving it be. You couldn't help it. By the time Mrs. Henson told everyone have a good night, you were out that door faster then sonic. You were excited to go home and read some fanfiction on Wattpad. You shoved your items in to your bag quickly, and went in to homeroom, waiting for dismissal. Gregory walks in and spots you, walking next to you and standing there. you look at him. "Hello, Gregory." He looks back. "Hello, Y/n." He says, mocking your tone. You laugh and he smiles.
(F/n) walks to you as the second bell rings, all the other kids running down the hallway, as you walk with your two other friends. (F/n) looks at you, then at Gregory over and over. Once you two noticed, you both raise a brow at them. They looked away. "Sorry. I spaced out." You gave them a suspicious look, then turned to the boy beside you again. Once outside of the door and down the steps you and Gregory both wave bye to each other and walk the opposite directions. "So, what was that about?" You turn towards the voice. "What do you mean?" (F/n) smiles. You know where this is going. "That boy?" They point behind them to where you waved goodbye and said; "Is he your boyfriend?"
