It's been a few weeks after Shoto and Momo confessed to each other and they have been dating for a while now. They haven't told their class yet to avoid distractions during their mid-term exams but they would reveal it to everyone after the exam period.
The class 3A are going to go on a camping trip just before the exams to relieve themselves. Momo was really excited for the class to be together and her and Shoto but especially for the Ennichi festival. She finally finished stuffing all her clothes and stuff in her tiny luggage. As she was pushing it she realised how heavy it was and that maybe she overpacked, but she was already running late so she had no time to remove things.
She went into the elevator and someone called out to her. It was shoto. He was asking her to hold the door for him and which she did. He got inside and casually said "good morning Momo!" to her whilst they awkwardly stood next to each other. They hadn't spoken too much to each other in person since they dated but they texted
A LOT.
They got out into the floor and went out to where the bus was waiting for them . Momo went to the trunk to put her luggage in but before she could Shoto picked it up and put it in for her. She was kinda glad he did because she knew she would struggle due to the weight of it.
She left him as he helped everyone else put their luggage in she went to go find a seat in the bus but many of the students had chosen who they wanted to sit next to but she decided to go in an empty row. She sat down and looked outside at the back of the bus through the window to observe her secret boyfriend kindly help everyone.
She smiled knowing how lucky and grateful she was to be dating someone like him. Since everyone was taking so long she decided to take a short nap but that short nap turned into a deep sleep.
A few minutes later
Shoto had finished putting the luggage in the bus and made his way into the bus to find Momo fast asleep. She looked so cute and peaceful that he instantly made his way to sit next to her but someone beat him to it.
"Mineta get out of that seat!" Hagakure yelled with a tone of disgust in her voice.
"Whyy~" Mineta gloomily asked. Mina was about to argue back but someone interrupted her. "If you don't get out of that seat I'll tell Sensei about the time you went into the girls changing room during our last school trip! I'm sure you'll get removed from todays trip!?" Jirou confidently threatened which Mineta instantly responded by getting off and sitting next to sero.
Shoto mouthed a thank you at the girls direction. Truthfully they only did it because they were big Todomomo shippers and unaware that they were already dating. Shoto took a book out of his bag and started to read it. Then he heard a little snore to his left ear and he turned to realise Yaoyorozu was calmly sleeping. She looked so exquisite sleeping.
He was happy that they were now together and he knew how she felt towards him. She kept tossing and turning as she layed her head on the window that shone a large amount of sunlight in her head. Shoto realised that she might be uncomfortable so he carefully held her head and placed it on his shoulder. He also noticed that she had goosebumps on her arm's probably because the air con was on and their sports attire were short sleeved so he took his jacket from his bag and wrapped it around her. He started to feel a bit sleepy as he stayed up late last night scrolling through his phone. He laid his head on top of hers. They peacefully fell asleep for a while.
Ochako was talking to Midoriya when behind him she could see Shoto and Momo sleeping. Her inner child was screaming right now and she turned around to show the other girls. The girls were bewildered and unbuckled themselves from their seats quietly to not be heard by the sleeping sensei. They took out their phones and took pictures of them sleeping.
Some say this would be creepy but to the class 3A this was pure moral support. If they were awake right now Momo woudl be getting teased by the girls and the boys would be annoying Shoto but that event is not until later.
A few hours later
Momo woke up to feel a bit of weight on her head when she looked up to realise it was Shoto that sat next to her, she started to blush like a rose. She didn't want to wake Shoto up since he looked so peaceful so she gently pushed his head up and removed herself from his shoulder. She didn't mind his head being on her shoulder so she left it and looked at the book in Shoto's hands and it looked interesting so she took it and started reading from the page she left off at.
Her phone suddenly buzzed and she lifted it to reveal a new message from someone not in her contacts. She opened it and it read
Anonymous person:
Hey girl! I know you and Shoto-kun are dating and that's completely fine! But I think you should be aware that he might still be in love with Camie Utsushimi from class 3C because from what I know he likes her but she likes that Bakugo guy or smth. You didn't hear it from me just girls looking out for girls! xoxo
Momo was completely destroyed. Did Shoto really like Camie? Was she just a second choice? She had so much things running through her mind but she decided now is not the time to have her mind flooded with her malicious thoughts and that she should enjoy herself.
When they arrived they got all the luggage out and started putting up the tents and making a large fireplace. Momo was in charge of the tents whilst Shoto was bringing logs over to sit down on but while Shoto was doing this he realised that Momo was distancing herself from him. For example when he tried talking to her she ran away saying she had to get things. It felt like that time she was receiving negative messages.
It was night now and the class decided to do a bonfire and roast marshmallows. Shoto and Momo didn't sit next to eachother but Shoto brushed it off. The class decided to play Truth or dare and they all joined in.
After a few rounds of questioning Shoto was asked truth or dare by Tsuyu Asui to which he replied truth. "Do you have a crush on anyone?" All eyes were on him expecting for them to say yes and refer to Momo but to their surprise the answer was "no". Momo knew he was only saying this because they agreed that they didn't want to tell the others about their relationship yet but it still stung her.
She stood up which surprised everyone and said that she felt tired and wanted to go sleep. Everyone knew that she was lying and she was sad about Shoto's answer but he was clueless. They all said goodnight to her and death stared Shoto. He looked really perplexed and terrified.
"Did I say something wrong?" He bluntly asked. Everyone felt like giving up with this idiotic boy. They couldn't believe that he was one of the smartest in their class but felt as if he was one of the dumbest. "YEAH YOU DID ICY HOT NOW GO TO HER AND COMFORT HER FU***** IDIOT!" Bakugo screamed at him.
Shoto wasn't reluctant but the girls were terrifying him so he got up and went into her tent. "Hey momo!?" There was no response but he could see her turned away and cuddled up in the cold. She was actually awake but didn't want to face him so she pretended to be asleep. She could still feel his gaze on her and the wind blowing into the tent but she ignored him until shut her eyes until she fell asleep.
Shoto realised Momo was actually asleep when he started to hear her little snore so he left her alone and carefully closed the tent. He wasn't in the mood to play truth or dare anymore so he went to go sleep too.
The night of the next day
Everyone was getting ready for the festival. Momo was wearing a white kimono that had red flowers on them. She had her hair tied up in a bun with a red ornament going through it to hold it together.Shoto was wearing a dark blue Yukata that he was forced to wear.
When they arrived at the festival everyone split up leaving Shoto and Momo together to explore the festival together. They interlocked their hands and even though Momo's was so little in his it still somehow worked. Throughout the night Shoto kept taking glances at Momo. She just looked so beautiful that his breath was taken away from him. She looked stunning and made him speechless when asked how she looked.He had to turn away from her and used his hand to cover his blush. Behind his hand he mumbled the she looked great and some how Momo managed to catch him say it. As they went from stall to stall trying food giggling and enjoying themselves, Shoto couldn't keep his eyes off of her- she was so gorgeous that if someone asked him to describe her in one sentence it wouldn't be possible. As Momo was holding her cotton candy that she got she looked around at all the stalls when one of them caught her attention. It had a large pink bunny that you had to play for to win. Momo was reluctant because they had to meet up with to others soon so she had to ignore it.
Shoto saw Momo dazzled eyes when she looked at it and he knew she wanted it so he dragged her to it and played. After a long time of playing they finally one it and he gave it to her. She hugged it like a little kid and butterflies were fluttering in Shoto's stomach just looking at his joyful girlfriend. "Cute" he whispered but not loud enough that Momo would hear him.
There was one more place that she wanted to go together and it was the fireworks. They pushed theirselves through the crowd and got themselves a spacious area. The fireworks weren't going to go off for a few more minutes but they wanted to get there early for a good spot.
Throughout the time that they were standing and waiting for the fireworks Momo had her mind wrapped around the message she had gotten and Shoto realised this. As they stood Shoto asked her something. "You seem down,what's wrong? Yaoyorozu didn't want to answer the question and tried to dodge it but Shoto wanted to know and he grabbed he by the wrist and turned her so she would look into his eyes.
She stared deep into them. Until she cracked she broke into tears and used her hands to brush them away. Shoto wrapped his arms around her waist and held her head in his chest as it soaked up her salty tears. "I'm sorry but I can't..." Momo managed to choke out. "Cant what? What can't you do Momo?" Shoto encouraged her.
"why can't you...𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝓶𝓮 𝓵𝓲𝓴𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝓱𝓮𝓻?"
Momo asked. She lifted her head from his chest and the tears in her eyes glistened as she tried to suppress a smile for him. "What? Who's her momo?" Shoto furiously asked. Who is filling Momo's mind with such ridiculous nonsense. "C-camie Utsushimi..." Momo sadly said. "And that's okay because I totally understand you like she's so coo-" she quickly argued trying not to sound upset. "Wait wait what!?" Shoto astonished now said. "Yeah I got this message and it was like-"
"Come on momo! Can you show me this message?" Shoto questioned. Momo didn't want to but Shoto stared at her with the most innocent puppy eyes that she was convinced.Momo took out her phone and gave it to shoto to look at. As he was reading it he couldn't hold in his laughter which made Momo confused. "Damn!" Todoroki yelled in between his laugh. He was laughing so hard it made Momo embarrassed of herself. "I never thought people thought that about me! Bakugo and her are dating but I don't like her. I've just been helping them two get together!" Shoto gleefully state. He was relieved that it wasn't anything serious and it was just a misunderstanding. "So you don't like her?" Momo putting the pieces together. "No! I've only liked you!" Shoto told.
He held her face in the palms of his hand and brung it closer to his face until their lips connected. It was like the missing piece to each other's puzzles...and now it was complete. The kiss was soft and gentle but a memorable night for the both of them. The fireworks went off just in time as they kissed. It was a beautiful sight but they were so distracted by the other they couldn't care. It was them that mattered and only ... them...
However, little did they know a group of scholars accidentally walked in to witness this scene...
