TW : A panic attack will be occurring in this chapter, I advise you not to go any further if this may trigger you.
----------------------------------------------------
"Y/n." your boyfriend called out to you, making you poke your head out from the couch that you were currently laying down on.
"Yeah?" you spoke out, looking at the grey haired male who was stirring something in a pan while looking at his phone.
"Suna is hosting a party, you wanna go?" he questions.
You thought over the idea, pursing your lips. You felt fine this morning, nothing out of the ordinary, just simply bored the whole day. Of course, midterms were coming up and you felt that you studied enough that you should give yourself a break. Also, you'll be seeing your most favorite person since forever, minus your boyfriend, Suna.
Smiling, you nodded to yourself. "Sure!" you chimed.
"Alright, I'll let him know." he stated.
Laying yourself back down, you continued to mindlessly go through your social media, liking your friends' posts every now and then.
As the hours slowly went by, it was time to head off to Suna's party. You decided to go with something casual yet comfy since Osamu had told you it was just a small get together with their volleyball team in high school.
You looked out the window, the sky now dark with a few stars and clouds occupying it. The nights were getting colder now, since it was the fall, and winter was just around the corner. Osamu parked his car behind another, the two of you getting out and walking towards the host's house.
You wrapped your arms around yourself, trying to keep yourself warm as the both of you waited for someone to open the door. You couldn't help but smile when you felt Osamu shuffle closer towards you, sharing his body heat with you until the door opened.
Your smile turned into a grin, seeing that Suna was the one to open it.
"Yo." he said as you didn't hesitate to engulf him in a hug, making him chuckle and wrap his arms around your small frame.
"Hurry up and let us in, we're freezing our asses off." your voice muffled through his shirt.
"Yes ma'am." Suna joked, the two of you parting, letting both you and the younger twin inside his house.
"Hitoshi ya bastard!" a familiar loud voice boomed from the living room.
"Ah shut up would ya?" Osamu said with an annoyed tone, the three of you walking in the room that was filled with the old boys volleyball team of Inarizaki High. "Could hear ya from inside!" he stated.
"Go suck faces with Y/n! I'm in the middle of beating Hitoshi's ass in Mario Kart right now!" Atsumu physically leaned to his right, his tongue sticking out as he was concentrating on trying to get first place.
"Oh geez.." you muttered, a smile making its way to your lips as you watched your boyfriend stomp towards his brother and snatched the controller from him.
"Hey!?" the blond yelled, glaring at his brother, who sat next to him and continued to play.
"Lemme show ya how a pro does it." he states.
He lost.
You and a few others snickered at Osamu's loss since he had bragged about how good he was at the game.
"I thought you were a pro." Atsumu mocked, only for Osamu to ignore him.
"I want a rematch..." he muttered, more annoyed than before.
"Whatever you say." Hitoshi grinned. "But this time you have to take a shot if you lose."
"Get ready to get your ass drunk then." Osamu smirked.
Of course, everyone had slightly gotten drunk. At some point, they turned off the TV and decided to catch up with one another, what they're doing, how they are in college at the moment. You just stayed, listening from the background, finding yourself comfortable by Osamu's side.
"I still have a video of Atsumu getting his ass kicked by his girlfriend, you guys wanna see?" Suna smiled mischievously, waving his phone in the air.
"Honestly he deserved it, said volleyball was more important than their relationship." Osamu snickered at the thought. "Came back inside the gym with a red hand print on his face." everyone laughed, including you.
Tears slightly formed at the corner of your eyes as you quickly wiped them away. Leaning forwards, you set your drink on the coffee table, starting to get up. Osamu glances at you as you gave him a smile.
"Going to the bathroom." you softly tell him. He nods in response and lets you go do your business.
Flushing the toilet, you went to the sink to start washing your hands as more tears started to appear in your eyes. Furrowing your brows, you quickly turn off the faucet and dry your hands and wiped away your tears with the sleeves of your sweatshirt.
"You're fine..." you muttered to yourself, unable to understand why you were starting to cry all of a sudden.
Muttering a few more reassuring words to yourself and checking to make sure your eyes weren't red. You turned off the lights and sat back down to continue listening to the boys high school stories.
Within five minutes you felt your eyes water once more, making you head to the bathroom again. Locking the door behind you, you gripped the edge of the counter as you dipped your head down, closing your eyes.
"C'mon.. Knock it off..." you scolded. "It's fine. Everything's fine. Everyone's having fun, so are you..." you mumbled.
You wiped away your tears again, trying to ignore something confusing starting to build up within you. Letting out a small sigh, you pushed away the feeling and left the bathroom. You sat yourself next to Osamu once more, deciding against picking up your drink.
Osamu glanced over at you as you smile, hearing about Aran panicking when a girl had confessed to him. A small feeling tugged at him that something was wrong, seeing that you had gone to the bathroom twice.
Debating on whether to ask if you were okay or not, he decided to hold off the question, making himself think he may be overreading the situation.
Another few minutes went by, and the sound of laughter filled your ears. You glanced around at everyone who was smiling and laughing, the ceiling fan lighting up the room. You felt yourself slightly overwhelmed from your surroundings, making you you leave the boys for the bathroom once again.
Locking the door, you tugged it a bit, making sure that no one would be able to get in. You felt your heart pound in your chest as you walked to the other side of the bathroom and sat yourself down, pulling your knees to your chest, staring at the door in front of you.
'Stop...' you thought to yourself. 'You're fine...' you reassured.
Your heart rate only quickened as you felt yourself unable to breathe. You clenched at your chest, starting to hyperventilate, your eyes darting across the bathroom.
A choked sob left your mouth as you tried to calm yourself down, the feeling of wanting to crawl out of your body kicking in.
"Stop it..." you whimpered.
And then there was a knock on the door, making you instantly shut your mouth.
There was silence for a moment before there was another knock.
"Occupied." you said, mentally thanking yourself as your voice didn't crack.
Waiting a few seconds, you heard the sound of footsteps leave the door. You gripped your arms, nails digging into your skin as you slowly stood up, tears streaming down your face. Turning the faucet on, you washed your face, trying to leave traces of you crying out of sight.
Atsumu slightly frowned as he walked out from the hallway. He glanced around the slightly loud living room for his brother, only to find him in the kitchen. Shoving his hands into the pocket of his hoodie, he walked over to him.
"Hey." he called out, making him glance over at him.
"Yeah?" he takes a sip from his cup.
"I think you should check on Y/n." Atsumu says. He watched as his brother pauses his movements, moving the cup away from his lips.
"Why?" he questions, a serious look on his face.
The blond slightly grimaces, rubbing the back of his neck as he glanced over his shoulder. "I heard her crying in the bathroom." he said.
Osamu only nodded towards his brother. It wasn't until he noticed you in the background, making your way towards the front door to outside.
"Shit..." he muttered and set his cup down before quickly making his way towards you.
Before you could even take a step outside, a hand grabbed your wrist, making you flinch and turn to see Osamu.
"What're you doin'?" he questions.
"I.. I'm going out..." you muster up.
"Why?" he questions.
"I just want to go out." you quickly utter out, your other hand taking hold of his hand that held you back. "Can you let go now?" you whimper and try to tug your hand away, only for him to slightly tighten your grip.
"Y/n, what's wrong." he asks.
"Osamu please..." you quietly cried out. You tugged again, only for him to tighten it even more. It didn't hurt per se, but it made you panic more as you glanced around.
"Y/n, talk to me." he said softly. "Look at me." he said.
Slowly, you look up at him, tears threatening to fall as your grip tightened on his own wrist.
"What's wrong?" he questions.
"I don't know.." you whisper out, your whole body trembling.
"Do you want to talk about it?" he asks.
You shake your head, tugging once more, but nothing had happened. "Osamu..." you desperately whispered out his name, but he wasn't having any of it.
"C'mon..." he mutters and pulls you back inside, closing the door.
Your eyes widened, as you start to tug back. "No, stop... Please..." you begged, not wanting the others to see the state you were in.
The grey haired male dragged you from behind, passing the others.
"We're gonna use one of your bedrooms Suna." Osamu said.
"Knock yourselves out." the brown haired male stated.
He pulled the both of you inside a guest bedroom and closed the door. He set his hands on your shoulders and crouched slightly to look at you.
"What's wrong sweetheart?" he questions.
And that's when you break.
You let out a sob as tears start to fall from your eyes. You hugged Osamu, your hands clenching the back of his shirt as you cried in his chest.
He didn't say anything but rub your back in small circles as you continued to cry, your whole body shaking heavily.
"Lets go sit on the bed." he softly whispers in your ear. You nodded your head, a small 'Okay' barely leaving your lips, but he heard you all the same.
He led you to the bed and sat down, his back against the headboard of the bed as you sat in his lap, your legs on either side of his torso. You rested your forehead on his shoulder, sniffling while a few hiccups left your mouth.
Osamu held you closely, continuing to rub circles on your back.
It was quiet between the two of you as you started to cry once more, feeling guilty for ruining the party.
"I'm...I'm sorry..." you whispered out.
"Hm?" he hums, unable to hear you.
"I'm sorry..." you say, a bit more loudly.
"What for?" he questions.
"For ruining the party..." you say, a few hiccups leaving your body.
He tried to pull away, but you stiffened at his attempt, making him stop what he was doing and just held you in your arms.
"You didn't ruin the party." he reassures. "It's not your fault, alright?" he gently presses a kiss on your temple as you only nod in response.
Osamu pulled away, making you tense up as you stared anywhere but him.
"Y/n..." he softly coos. "Look at me love." he says.
Slowly, you look at him, sniffling again as he cups your face, wiping away the tears.
"You're okay now." he says, leaning in and pressing his forehead against yours. "Got it?"
"Yeah..." you whisper. "Got it..." you add.
He smiles and places a gently kiss to your forehead before pulling you back into a hug.
"Get some rest alright?" you nod at his request and nestle your face into the crook of his neck, wrapping your arms around him in the process as your eyes fluttered close, breathing in his scent.
'Everything's okay...' you reassure yourself before drifting off to sleep.
