Ahsoka's pov
"G'morning cyare." Holy shit! Whoever said that just got punched in the face. But then I gasped when I saw it was just Rex. Of course he was here.
"Oops." He lightly glared at me. He stood up and leaned forward. I gently gripped his head and started channeling my positive and healing energy into him. Before I knew it he was perfectly fine.
"First of all, ow. Second of all, I'm so glad your awake. After Megs put you to sleep I was so worried." I smiled and gripped his hands in mine.
"I'm fine Rexter. You should have a little more faith in Omega." We were both smilingly at this point.
"I do have faith in her! You taught her, how could I not? But that doesn't mean I can't be a worried husband." I giggled and kissed his cheek.
"Whatever you say hun. Whatever you say." As soon as I relearned how to walk I jogged into the cockpit. Everybody was either sitting or standing there. I got a little upset when I saw Echo sitting in my copilots seat but I brushed it off. I laughed internally at the situation about to happen.
"What is this place?" Omega asked.
"Yeah I'd like to know that too." They all visibly jumped out of their skin.
"Ah!"
"Please don't hurt us, Megs did it!" I just glared at Fives.
"How dare you throw my da- padawan under the speeder bus like that Fives. And Omega how dare you just knock me out like that without even getting my consent! No you need to learn how to ask permission." I took a deep breath and calmed myself.
"Okay. I'm sorry I yelled but next time you want me to go to bed, just tell me please." Omega nodded. I patted her shoulder then nuzzled my way through the group of boys until I reached Echo and Tech.
"Now I'm gonna ask one more time. Where are we?" I ushered Echo out of the copilots seat. He rolled his eyes and groaned but did move. I sat in my rightful spot and smiled looking at Tech waiting for my answer.
"A star ship graveyard." Instead of Tech, Hunter answered me even though it wasn't much of an answer.
"Well no shit. I have eyes, I meant what planet are we on and why?" They all snorted except for Wtecker who was in pain behind me. His headaches are getting more frequent and even more alarming. Well I guess it's better to feel something than nothing at all.
"Rex and Omega have located an ideal planet for Wrecker... and all of us as well to get our inhibitor chips removed." Tech replied coolly as we made our descent to the surface. On the outside I simply nodded and put on my poker face but on the inside I was doing the cha cha slide. Finally I can feel safe around my family again!
"Whoa." I involuntarily said. It just slipped out when I saw the massive former jedi cruiser laying lifelessly on the ground with no inhabitants. Kind of sad honestly. Tech steadily lowered the Havoc Maruader right on the sandy middle of the broken cruiser.
"Ugh how's a junk planet gonna help us?" Wrecker asked/complained. How typical.
"Follow me." Hunter, Tech and Wrecker walked in front of myself, Echo and Fives, but right behind Rex and Omega. We walked a good bit before we approached the top of a particularly steep sand dune hill.
"Bracca may not be much to look at, but it has exactly what we need." Rex said.
"I had my inhibitor chip taken out on a jedi cruiser just like that-"
"By a beautiful, talented, lovable, don't forget humble young togruta who risked her life on numerous occasions to save yours."
"Took the words right out of my mouth cyare." I smirked at my Rexy. I knew he was doing the same but i really couldnt tell with his helmet on.
"Hey you guys, uh hi yeah I love the lovey dovey stuff but if you don't stop 3i will pull an Ahsoka and barf on you." Fives warned. I scoffed and stalked toward him. The only reason I barfed that day is from a bad ration bar.
"You wouldn't."
"Why don't you try flirting with your Rexter again and find out." I gritted my teeth and took a breath. Hunter intervened and lightly tugged at my arms pulling me backward. Thank force for the space dad.
"Alright alright I'm cal-whoa!" Hunter suddenly yanked my arms down and I fell on the floor.
"Everyone down!" He whisper yelled.
"Its the scrapper guild. According to my data they control the entire planet." Omega informed us. The speeder type cart zoomed by us so we all lifted our heads up and stood to our feet.
"Probably best if we don't run into those guys."
"Agreed. Let's move." We started walking into the actual ship part of the cruiser. It was so creepy, ghostly in there. It was so odd being there again mostly cause it looked just like my old home. During the war I only had two homes. The temple, and the Resolute. Now both bring unpleasant memories.
"Fives tried to warn me about the inhibitor chips but I didn't understand at the time."
"Yeah because the fact the good guy is the bad guy couldn't get through that thick skull of yours, huh Cap. I'm just kidding. Please don't fire me." We all chuckled except for Rex who was not amused.
"How did you boys find out about the inhibitor chips?"
"Ahsoka and Omega."
"Two talented jedi huh. A great master and a talented a padawan." I smiled and blushed slightly at Rex's statement. I knew both compliments applied to me. I tapped Omega's shoulder and wore the face of a proud master. Omega looked around in a mixture of wonder and awe. We both leaped high up off the ground and landed many feet above and away from the group. She continued to marvel at the rusty and broken ship.
"Whoa! Its a lot bigger up close!" Childlike wonder filled her voice and it was honestly the cutest thing I've ever seen. We stood around and waited a few minutes for the boys to get up. It took awhile but they didn't fall far behind.
"This is an original Venator-class ship from the first batch off the line." I leaned forward and whispered in his ear,
"Just like you." He scowled but not in a mean way. More in a slightly annoyed way. We all kept moving, or so I thought. After a little bit more walking I noticed we lost a few peoples along the way.
"Hey you boys alright back there?" I yelled to Hunter and Tech who were strangely observing water. Who the hell observes water?
"Were fine!" They yelled back so we shrugged and pressed on. As we got more into the ship it got darker and squeakier. We passed many rodents who were scavenging for things, same as us, kinda. We all walked in a straight line across the water. Except me and Omega, we just jumped across. We continued onward.
"The last time I-" I loudly coughed and nudged him in the side.
"Fine. The last time we were aboard one of these it didn't end so well." I nodded in approval at Rex's new and improved statement.
"If the inhibitor chip isn't something you can control then how'd you remove yours?" Echo asked him. Oh I better get creidt for my hardwork. You know what. I'll just credit myself.
"A brilliant young togruta removed his inhibitor chip right after order sixty si- hi Wrecker." I laughed nervously. Im still a little antsy around him and I can feel Omega's intense emotions to as he loomed over us. Oh no did the inhibitor chip kick in? We all gasped and stopped walking. Everybody stared at him in a long and uncomfortable silence which turned my stomach inside out waiting for the result. Until finally he just looked at all of us rapidly with an offended face.
"What!?"
"Nothing. Just keep mo-" I shrieked and stopped my sentence as Rex held out a protective arm in front of me. Then I did the same for Omega.
"Let me guess. Med bays at the other end?"
"Yep."
"UGHHHHHHHH!!!" We all groaned in unison.
"Fine. Omega, you know what to do." She nodded. She took a few steps back and darted toward the edge. She leaped out arms flailing in front of her. At the last possible second I force pushed her. She flew straight past the 20 foot drop and landed gracefully on her feet.
"Alright who's next." I wiggled my face markings up and down.
"Oh you've got to be shitting me. You want me to just jump freely and trust you'll push me far enough over a 20 foot cliff!"
"Yeah prerty much. Don't worry Wrecker you can be last." I kept my word and threw everybody except him. When it was just down to him and me on our cliff side. He started wildly glancing around and groaned when his dramatic actions confirmed the worst.
"You know what? My uh, head isn't hurting anymore. Soooo I'm just gonna go byeeeee!!" He tried to make a mad dash for the exit but I used the force to stop him in his tracks and levitate him off the ground. He didn't notice for like 3 whole minutes he wasn't making any progress.
"Wrecker were still here." He shrieked and tried to jump.
"OMG WITCHCRAFT!!! GET AWAY FROM ME YOU HORNED DEVIL!!!" He tried to run away again but failed miserably.
"Wrecker. Get your ass over here."
"Ughhh fine just get it over with." He turned around with a great deal of effort and groaned when he hit the ships floor again. I smiled as innocently as possible at him. He just gave a deadpan look and kept walking. He slowly picked up speed until he yelped and jumped decently far. But instead of rescueing him immediately I let him fall.
"Wait what!? AHSOK-AHHHHH!!!" I chuckled and watched the reaction of the others. The bad batch was horrified while Rex and the arc twins were just plain irritated.
"Seriously."
"Kidding kidding! I got him." At the last possible second, again, with a flick of my wrist a screaming Wrecker was shot up into the air so high he hit the roof with a loud thud.
"Heh oops." Then I shoved my hand out and Wrecker slingshoted across the room but this time to the side of his brothers. Throughout the whole ordeal he never stopped screaming. And throughout all of his screaming he never once sounded like a man.
"AHHHHHHHHHH- ah? Oh hey look at that, I'm not dead." I smiled sheepishly and backed up.
"Wait Ahsoka how are you going to- oh." He stopped talking as I effortlessly leaped across. I landed swiftly and brushed off my clothes with my hands.
"Showoff."
"Hey when your as awesome as me you can flaunt it too." They all chuckled before turning to leave. That's when we saw a horrified Wrecker cradling himself. Everyone side eyed me while I just rolled my eyes.
"Oh man up." Wrecker pouted.
"No I mean literally get up man. We have to keep moving." We all helped give Wrecker a little push emotionally and physically. As we walked Rex, Omega and I led the way. I could hear the arc twins in the back snickering about something while the bad batch walked in comfortable silence. Rex leaned in even closer and said
"And you wonder why Wrecker doesn't trust you."
"We both know he wasn't gonna go willingly."
"Fair enough." We then reached the medical ward. Tech and Rex pryed the door open. We all took a breath and stepped inside the worn down doorway. I ignited my light sabers for more light and squeeled immediately when it revealed 3 rats 2 inches from my face. I jumped up and clung around Rex's chest. The rats hissed at me and crawled back into the hole. I looked up to see Rex looking down at me with an amused smile.
"Really? Your the universe's most strongest and fearless woman yet your frightened a rat?"
"I thought it was a spider! You know how I feel about spiders." He just chuckled and walked further into the mad bay.
"This'll do nicely." He confirmed for the rest of the team.
"I would no longer call this medical bay a sterile environment."
"Alright. Suit yourself. I guess we could always just go back to Kami-"
"This will do nicely." He got to work with Echo after my persuasive comment. Echo plugged into the main outlet and accessed the main central data base I'm guessing since all the basic power units hummed to life.
"Alright Wrecker, time to get scanned." Tech told him in a teasing way although nobody was laughing. To them, this was just another day in the field. I don't think Wrecker realizes that to me, it's the difference between life and death. Not just for me, for Omega and everyone else too. Wrecker was whining all day but now he was groaning in pain.
"I have a bad feeling about this." Wrecker's moaning and groaning only increased just like my anxiety levels. Tech quickly located the inhibitor chip. I could hear them all chatting amongst themselves but I was too nervous for it. I slowly stalked forward. Wrecker was in extreme pain, I could sense his uneasiness as well as mine. I gently placed both my hands on opposite sides of his head. When I looked inside his mind, I i didn't see what I had hoped to find. I saw a inner battle with 2 of the strongest things i know pitted against each other. Wrecker may be strong but so is the inhibitor chip.
"It's not gonna work." His groaning became louder and more frequent as his mind was quickly being invaded by the chip.
"There's not enough time." He stopped groaning for a sec and his breathing spiked.
"Get away from me!" He seethed.
"Tech, Echo. We really need to speed this up." Wrecker was clutching his head like a mad men. Everybody was off put by my on edge attitude. Rex, Hunter and Fives were having a conversation about Kaller and order 66 but I couldnt listen for many reasons. Tech finally got it all cued up and ready to go but not before it happened.
"Relax, this wont hurt a bit." Before Tech could even put a finger on him, Wrecker reached out and grabbed Tech's arm. That was it. All the chatter stopped. He finally snapped.
"Your in direct violation of order si- ah!" The sound of one blaster shot rang out. All heads snapped towards me holding Rex's pistol. Wrecker groaned but still moved. So I shot him again and again and again. Wrecker thumped to the ground pulling Tech along with him.
"Ahsoka! What did you-"
"Oh relax. I only stunned him... 4 times." Tech wriggled out of the unconscious Wrecker's grasp. We helped him stand to his feet. He looked up at me, then down at Wrecker, then up at me again. He wordlessly lunged forward and engulfed me in a hug.
"Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god! Thank you." He whisper shouted at me with dry tears pouring freely from his eyes. I patted his back and chuckled.
"Dont mention it Techie bear." Someone awkwardly cleared their throat. We both pulled away to see Rex standing there kinda scared and kinda pissed. He was physically staring down Tech at this point. Tech raised his arms and backed away.
"Alright lover boy I get it. I get it." Hunter and Omega were next to surround Tech and ask what happened and if he's okay. He of course said yes and gave me a ton of praise for shooting his brother... okay that's quite the sentence. I silently picked up Tech's device. I let out a shaky breath and stumbled to the ground next to Wrecker's sleeping form. I put a hand on his cheek and traced the cute little scar all the way to his ear.
"Please wake up as you. Please be okay as you. Just, wake up and be okay. Please." I used the force to lift Wrecker slowly onto the table. I placed Tech's chip device on top of Wrecker's head once more.
"Alright lets try this again. Hopefully with less drama this time." I glared at Fives. Now was so not the time for his sarcastic remarks. Regardless Tech and Echo fired up the machine while I positioned Wrecker the right way. When he went under I let go with the force. Thankfully he didn't spring back up.
"Alright now how long do we wait?"
"As long as it takes."
5 hours later
"UGHHHH I CANT TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!!" I screamed. We were all on edge. Wrecker was out of the surgery but not awake yet. I've had enough of this stupud shit.
"That's it I'm gonna shoot his knee cap. If he doesn't wake up, he's dead and we move on." I rushed at Wrecker while everyone else blockaded me in one swift frenzy while shouting the word no at me.
"Aren't jedi supposed to be diplomatic? Calm!?"
"Boring jedi are." I pretended to lunge toward the side but instead I slid underneath Hunter's legs.
"No!"
"Oh relax I'm not actually gonna shoot him. I'm just gonna give him cognitive recalibration."
"Ah kriff." I heard Tech curse under his breath.
"Uh oh. Tech cursed. It must be horrible." I snorted before loooking down at Wrecker's still sleeping form.
"No but seriously. What's cognitive recalibration? Some voodoo jedi healing power?"
"Something like that." I chuckled nervously while everybody narrowed their eyes.
"Ahsoka what is cognitive recalibration." Hunter wasn't asking this time.
"This." And without breaking eye contact I hit Wrecker really hard in the head.
"Ahsoka!" He scolded.
"What?" Wrecker groaned and sprung up. I gasped and happily helped him out.
"See! It worked!"
"What worked?" We were all silent at the question. It was so quiet you could hear the damn rats squeaking.
"My cognitive recalibration worked."
"... what?"
"I hit you really hard in the head." Omega nuzzled her way through the crowd and jumped next to Wrecker to give him a hug. We all gathered around Wrecker and patted his back as he lightly massaged the back of his head.
"Welcome back buddy." Hunter congratulated. I removed the inhibitor chip locator off of Wreckers head and floated it to Rex in the corner.
"One chip down. Three to go. Who's next?" He grabbed the locator and spun it around his finger. I don't know why but it was extremely hot. Nobody exactly volunteered though. Fives snuck behind Echo and raised his hand for him.
"Ow- hey!"
"What!? None of you were gonna do it! Someone had to be brave." Everybody rolled their eyes but Rex and I. Echo started laughing but when he saw we were all just staring at him he stopped.
"Oh your not kidding are you." A few more hours later Wrecker, Echo, Hunter, and Tech got their inhibitor chips removed in that order. Fives, Echo, Rex and Hunter stepped outside while Tech, Omega and I remained in here. Omega was my trusty assistant when removing Tech's chip. Tech massaged his head clearly uncomfortable by the change.
"Does it feel weird?" I asked him. He stifled a groan as he pushed himself up off the bed. Omega scurried over to Tech and helped brace him.
"Weird? Not entirely. New? Very much so. But if that painful removing process will increase your safety when near us, then it was compleyely worth it." I chuckled as Tech and Omega walked over to hug me. I gladly embraced them back.
"Thanks Tech. You too Omega. Your a good student, and hugger." We all chuckled as we stood there in a mini group hug.
Rex's pov
"Don't worry cap. You've got absolutely nothing to worry about back here. Its nice and calm here I can keep watch for as long as you need. You just take care of your girlfriend. Tell her Wolffe and I said hello." The boys snickered as they stood beside me.
"Copy that. I want another update tomorrow bright and early in the morning. And I know she misses all the crackheads too, you included." I ended the transmission and sighed deeply. It was nice having a pair of trustworthy eyes watching everybody I couldn't. I was finally relaxed.
"Uh excuse me?" Nevermind.
"Uh who were you just comming? I want their name and address!" Ahsoka yelled but there was a hint of playfulness in her
