Omega's pov
I was sitting in the cockpit with Rex in the copilots seat.

"Are you sure asteroids should be my first test? Isn't it a bit much?" Rex just waved his hand in front of me to dismiss it.

"Nonsense. You got this Megs! Besides if I see one sign of trouble I'll turn us right back around. Okay?" I took a deep breath in and then out.

"Okay."

"Great. Now first turn on the gravity please. I'm getting just about tired of floating above your head."

"Oh! Right. Heh my bad." We both chuckled as he splatted on the floor like a soggy ration bar. I helped him up and he got situated in his seat.

"Now turn on the flight stabilizers and-" we were interrupted by a loud frequent beeling sound coming from the console that made me jump.

"Were being hailed. Who's it from?" I tapped the contact but when i saw the name of 'Rex' clearly displayed on the screen I gasped and loiked at him shocked and worried.

"It's... you." How could this happen? Was he hacked? Is he being hacked? Was his identity stolen or the biggest question of all, is Fives playing a prank on us? Rex was clearly as concerned as I was.

"Put it through." He stood up from his seat and walked over to the back of the cockpit. It was temptimg to press the decline button but I refrained and followed orders instead. I selecred the answer and up came a bright blue hologram of someone I couldn't see from behind. I closed my eyes and tried to feel through the force who it was. Whoever it was it almost matched Rex's force signature.

"Kix! Oh thank the force it's you! You had me worried sick. What's up?" Who is Kix? I got out of the pilots seat to get a better look. I gqsped when I saw the man in a hood. Whoever this stranger is he scared me for some reason so with a quick mikent of joy thinking about how weak it would make me look I hugged Rex around the waist and buried my face behind his back. What the heck am I doing?

"Rexter who is this man?" He opened his mouth to respond but was cut off by the mysterious man in a cloak.

"Hi little'un. I wish there was more time for formalities and introductions but I'm afraid I am in desperate need of your help." The way Rex was listenung intently and his heartbeat was normal i could tell it was a good stranger. Maybe not even a stranger at all.

"What do you need buddy?" Buddy? Okay yeah weve definitely passed stranger and went straight into old friend.

"This morning Wolffe and I received a distress signal from a cline trooper. Unfortunately we are a bit tied up at the moment to go and fetch him."

"When who and wherever it is, we'll be there." He promised the man. I leaped away from him.

"Rex did you just take a mission with no one elses consent!?"

"I don't need anyone's permission to help a friend. We'll get the rest of the team on board when we get back. Anything else Kix?" I scoffed and crossed my arms trying to hide the smirk on my face. This is honestly what I probably would do anyways.

"Sorry friends, I can't talk right now. Transmitted his signal. I'll be in touch- oh! And one last thing. Tell Fives I refuse to waste anymore bacta patches on his sorry ass. Oop, sorry kid." Rex waved him off like he did with me earlier.

"Don't sweat it Kix. We'll get right on it. Oh and Omega has heard much worse than that." He nodded and laughed before gasping. Laser fire erupted from in front of him but the man called Kix expertly dodged it and holstered his own blaster.

"Good luck." And just like that he suddenly disappeared. I looked up at Rex to see the mixture of emotions flash in his eye.

"Rex?"

"Hm?" I snapped him out of his staring contest with the wall.

"Will your friend be okay?" I asked him. He looked down at me and took a few deep breaths while I waited patiently for his answer.

"Kix? Oh yeah he'll be great. He's handled much worse. Couple of shooters are nothing compared to Echo when his reg manual was taken away." We both chuckled at the thought before becoming serious again. I sat back in my pilots seat and he took his spot next to me.

"Just received the signal from somebody named CC-5567. It's coming from a place called Daro. Ro you happen to know who that is?" Rex was just sitting in his seat chucklung and laughing. I looked into the force yo see jothing but happiness radiating off him.

"Oh Megs, I know exactly who that is. Set a course for Alvoc-3. I'll contact Ahsoka and tell her were on our way." I nodded my head yes even though I had no idea how to do what he just said for me to do. He left toward the back and exited into his room. I looked from his closed door to the thingie on the console that gets us where were going. Now how to work it, i have no idea. Eh what the heck. I got out of my seat and did a front flup across the room in an effort to be silent. I landed perfectly on my feet soundlessly. I smiled as I leaned into the door.

"Hi cyare."

"H-Hi R-Rex." Was that my master? Stuttering? This can't be right.

"You okay? You sound stressed." Um yeah she does. She's kriffing stuttering! I've known her for a ehile year and she has never once done that. Like ever.

"Y-Yeah I'm just peachy! Why do you ask?" I reached throughout the force and into my bond with Ahsoka.

Master.

Omega!? What the hell are you-

I need to know why your so nervous. I could sense the anxiety pouring off of you.

Oh wow your abilities must be growing stronger if you can sense my-

Oh quit it with the force talk. Tell me what's wrong. I want to know, now.

I gasped as I could feel myself being pushed out. Why is she doing this? Wekk when I thoughg about it the answer is clear. She would have no reason to push me away if she didn't have something to hide.

What are you hiding master?

No response? I'm shocked. I groaned and punched the first thing I could get my hands on which was sadly Rex's door. It whooshed open and i fell right trough the doorway infront of Rex's feet. He rolled his eyes as I smiled at him. He helped me up and I gave him a quick hug as a sorry. He gave me the side eye but motioned for me to step over closer to the holoprojector.

"So anyways as I was saying, Kix had contacted me and said that he needed our teams help with rescuing a fellow clone from something. I have the exact coordinates with me but the planet he's on is called Daro." She hummed quietly to herself on the other side of the holocall. Well at least her awkwardness was gone.

"Fascinating. And do you know this trooper Kix told you about?" Rex excitedly nodded his head.

"It's Gregor! You remember the awesome clone commando trooper that R2 told us about when he got back from that solo mission you were worried sick about?" Ahsoka broke into a smile too and now that her guard was down I could sense her extreme guilt and missing of the droid she calls 'Artooie' but the excitement she also had about finally getting a real mission after so long. Got to say the feeling was mutual.

"I'll tell the team to gear up immediately. Meet us on the east side of Alvoc-3, downtown in docking bay 26. We'll be mission ready-"

"No no we won't! Ahsoka is very much not mission ready!" Tech yelled as he ran up shaking Ahsoka's holo device from the other side. She slapped his arm away and covered her hand over his mouth like 4 year olds fighting. Then Echo and Fives ran and and got downgraded to 3 year olds.

"Wait Rex don't go! Ahsoka is-"

"Looking forward to your arrival! Bye bye!" She scrambled to turn off the holophone leaving a confused Rex and I to stare at each other. What just happened?

"Do you know what just happened?"

"I've learned it's best not to ask." I nodded and smiled up at him. We started turning off all the lights and the automatic door to Ahsoka and Rex's shared room shut behind us.

"Fair enough. Now can you please help me with this thing?" He chuckled and shook his head.

"Of course. The navicomputer really isn't that complicated once you get the hamg of it. You just look at the screen next you, yeah that's the one. Then you start punching in the coordinates exsctly how you see them there." Once Rex explained it, just like he said, it was much easier. I probably took longer than the average pilot by typing with only my two pointer fingers one number or letter at a time.

"That's it?"

"That's it. Now what do you say we go find out why Ahsoka was acting so oddly." I looked up at him kinda surprised. What happened to what he was saying a minute ago?

"But I thought you said it's better not to ask?"

"I did. Its best not to ask when the culprit can easily get away from you. When your asking about a sensitive subject its best to do it in person." I hummed trying to take all of what he said in. While it is true, that would be the best wayvto corner someone how could you not feel guilty later if you did that to someone? Especially a wonderful person like Ahsoka Tano?

"I guess that would be the most effective way to go about it." He laughed aloud and patted my back.

"Now you sound like Tech." I scoffed and pushed his hand off.

"Don't even go there. No one could ever sound like Tech." Tech's too special to have someone sound just like him. Once I finished typing the coordinates in, Rex switched on the autopilot for us. It was a smooth ride from there to Alvoc-3 full of complaining about varying things and happy yelling when I beat him in dejarik. Again, and again, and again. After about an hour the ship started beeping so Rex excused himself to see what it was. Thankfully it wasn't another weird transmission, instead it was just the Revolution telling us we were about to enter the planets atmosphere.

"Alright Megs, buckle up. Now I'm not quite sure where the right docking bay is, so it may or may not get a bit bumpy." I looked at the navicomputer to double check the coordinates, I had a bad feeling about it but everything seemed to be in order so I ignored the pit in my gut. Watching Rex exit the ship from hyperspace to only see a fully dark planet. Was it always like this? Or is it just this part of the planet like this...

"Entering the atmosphere now. Do me a favor and turn on those regulators would ya?" I did as instructed and flipped the top switches while Rex engaged the thrusters.

"Strap in Megs. I have no idea what I'm doing."

"Generally not what you wanna hear from a pilot! And werent you teaching me about flying an hour ago!?"

"To be fair there's a difference between knowing how to be a pilot and actually being a pilot!" He snapped back. I rqised my hands in surrender until he appeared to be having some sort of spaz attack when he was motuoning from my raised hands to the controls.

"Help a guy out here Megs." He begged and started slamming his fists repeadetly into the controls.

"Well what do you want me to do!?"

"Something helpful!" He asked for it. I force pushed him to the side out of my way and sat in the pilots seat. What a great way to kick off my first flying lesson.

"How about you strap in." He scoffed but I coyld veey clearly read his emotuons as proud and happy I was taking over for him. I could geel the heat burning up the ships exterior slowly making its way inside.

"Activating the regenerative cooling and auxiliary power thrusters. That should cool us down so we don't fall apart." He nodded in agreement with a smirk on his face. He popped his shoulder back in its place and buckled up like I told him to.

"Making our descent now. Navicomputer says we shoukd arrive in one minute if we don't die before that." Rex scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"Don't you think your being a bit dramatic?" Just then two different alarms started blaring in my ear and the while ship went dark

"No. No I do not." I closed my eyes and used the force to reach out and still see despite the overwhelming darkness. It was so cool how I could see everything thing in front and behind me by just clearing my mind. I took a deep breath in and out before walking to the side maintenence closet and flipped the switch to activate the auxiliary back up power.

"I can see the city!" Rex shouted from his spot in the copilot seat.

"Good for you." I jumped back in my seat and took my own advice, buckling up just for safety. I grabbed the wheel with both hands qnd pulled up. I could see the docking bay just not the numbers. I closed my eyes and reached out with the the force, scanning the bays. My eyes popped open and I pulled the wheel up a hard right. Even though we were strapped in me and Rex got yanked in our seats. The groaning and grunting could be heard from here even with all the craziness happening. We passed right by the Havoc Marauder and landed in docking bay 29 eoughly. Thats close enough right? Rex jumped up to pull the legs of the ship out right befire we touched the ground.

"Oh right. Uh, thank you." He did a stupid little two fingered salute toward my direction.

"Anytime, Captain Megs. Now what do you say we get Gregor saved already so you can beat me in dejarik again?" I cheered along with him and laughed all the way to the Havoc Maruader. The ramp was already lowered and you could hear the yelling and weird stuff said in the ship.

"Uh hello?" I knocked on the side of the ship and everybody shut up immediately and sat in the chairs smiling innocently as if we saw nothing.

"Um so anyways. Moving on from... whatever that was. We have a very important mission." Their reactions were strange to say the least. Ahsoka nodded excitedly with Cloudy in her lap but all the other boys were looking at each other uncertain. Seriously what in the name of Dank Ferrik did we miss? Fives and Echo were just sittung next to each other completely stiff at attention like they would at some military patrol or something.

"Sorry Rex but I don't think-"

"That we could possibly have waited any longer for this exciting missin ai have waited months for." Ahsoka interrupted Tech, death glaring everyone behind her at the end.

Master what is going on?

No answer yet again. When she didn't answer I always looked to Fives to spill the caf beans. I glanced at him and he only mouthed 'we'll talk later'.

"Alright then." Rex walked over to the middle of the room with me hot on his tracks.

"This is Daro. It's where-"

"Daro: a terrestrial ppanet located in the outer rim with no known settlements or installations." Tech showed us a bright smile as he repeated the information back, obviously making him happier.

"Yes, thank you for that Tech. Anyways my... old friend. His name was- is Gregor and he's stuck in a tight spot. Kix didn't give any major specifics, just more exact coordinates and that this mission is time sensitive." I took a seat next to Ahsoka on a large box and stared up at her. Her eyes moved down to glance at me but quickly looked up when she saw my staring.

Master why are you acting like this? What did we miss?

I'll tell you when your older.

What's that supposed to mean!?

"What's he doing all the way out there?" Hunter asked, skepticism clearly in his voice. I don't know why though, its just a simple rescue mission. Between 2 jedi, 2 skilled arc troopers, the bad batch and a fiery captain? This mission will be a breeze.

"Well does-" Fives and Echo both said at the same time.

"Sorry, you go." The arc twins chuckled together before snapping out of it and back to it.

"Does it really matter?"

"We've gone on missions with little intel before, but this would be stretching it." Fives and Echo both leaned forward in their chairs a little challenging. In a way I respected them for it.

"Kix wouldn't tell Rex about a mission he wants done unless it was urgent." The man on the holocall wasn't as scary as I thought thinking back on it. He did seem like a good person. Plus Rex put Kix in charge of his whole little rebellion while he is here with us so he must be fairly trustworthy.

"But Rex and Kix's friend is in trouble. Isnt that more important than the uncertainty of the job?" I asked Hunter showing him my best pup eyes.

"I don't even know who Kix is!" Wrecker shouted oh so helpfully. Cause that's just what we need right now.

"Guys, stop. Shouting and arguing won't get us- ah!" Ahsoka tried to stand up but winced and fell back down.

What will it take for you to tell me what's wrong?

There was a l9ng pause of silence. I think that after a while everyone can kinda tell when were communicating thrpugh our thoughts so they just give us a minute.

Just some minor cramps. Don't worry about it, I'm fine.

Out loud I groaned and fell back in my chair. This whole ordeal was so draining. I was so tired but the sheer anger about to bubble over on Echo and Fives faces must have been enough to push Hunter overboard. He shot once last glance at Ahsoka who nodded once, coldly firm yet with a soft reassurance in her eyes.

"Fine. We'll check things out. But..." He shot a glance to Echo who was noticeably happier with his leader.

"I still don't like it." Ahsoka looked at me with a pleading look in her eyes causing me to roll mine. You didn't have to be a mind reader to know what she wanted to do. I stomped up and over to her holding pit my arms for her to grasp. She carefully, slowly lifted heraelf up fr8m the chair and sighed with relief.

"Phew. Okay Rexter, meet me in our room. We have a lot to discuss. Omega... I don't know. Just for once please don't eavesdrop." I couldn't help eying her skeptically for saying me specifically couldn't listen. Why me?

Because you will have the best and easiest reaction to deal with.

Hm... I guess that makes sense. Saving the best for last. I watched as my master took a deep breath before gently reaching out for Rex's hands. She grabbed him and pulled him backwards into their quarters. As soon as the door shut i flipped to Fives.

"So what are they talking about?" He did some dramatic eye roll before putting his hand directly in the middle of my face covering the whole thing and just pushed it back. I stumbled back, obviously, from the force but Wrecker caught me easily.

"Wrecker what's happening?" He just looked down at me biting his scarred lip.

"I shouldn't- Ahsoka is- wants to be the one to tell you." I gave him my best baby eyes. When I saw they weren't working I stopped it and grumbled. Yeah I was acting like a child crossing my arms and pouting my lip, but who cares? I still have at least a few years left of being really sweet and innocent. Well maybe just innocent.

"If you tell me, I'll let you use my light saber." He gasped and pranced around like a man-child as sook as he heard it. I unclipped it from my armor's belt and shook it in front of him teasingly.

"Ahsoka is-" slap. Hunter had slapped Wrecker. To be fair that is what it woyld take to keep someone luke Wrecker from blurting out secrets though.

"Look kid. If you have any respect for Ahsoka, then you'll wait patiently for her to tell you. I know it shard and it feels luke your beung left out but she's going to tell you right after she's dont with Rex." I huffed as he rubbed my back soothingly even if I couldn't feel it because of the armor.

"Patience isn't anyone here's specialty. Especially mine." I guess Hunter was willingly to accept that answer since he huffed and led me to the cockpit to join the others.

"So how do you think he'll take it?" Echo asked literally everyone in the room except me. Then I swear to force I heard the loudest scream ever followed by a heavy thud you could
