Catalina's POV:

Rinne, our friends, and I were on top of the circular platform where Madame Helene wanted us to practice our sword skills on the mechanical motioned armor soldiers as Madame Helene was on the bottom of the platform where the mechanisms are 

"Positions!" Madame Helene instructed, 

Before pulling on the long thick pool, making the mechanisms work 

We got into positions as we watched the motioning armor begin working 

Then we started practicing using our swords to defend ourselves from the armor soldiers 

As Madame Helene smiled, crossing her arms with a knowing smile while watching us training 

Time Skip: 

We were in the kitchen, where Madame de Bosse had assigned us different jobs for the kitchen with Cor sweeping, Viveca dusting the pans from above, Aramina mopping, Renee with polishing the silverware and me rinsing the plates 

First, it was Cor who knowingly smiled and then used her broom to sweep the floor, getting the dust into the dustpan 

Then I smiled using my sponge as the dagger to clean the dirty plate   

Next, it was Aramina who twirled around, holding her mop mopped a bit, and then placed it on the bucket where she was making bubbles 

Aramina smiled, twirling around a bit again as Viveca used the dustpan to make the pan create music 

Renee inspected the fork into the light making it sparkle before throwing it into the organizer perfectly 

Soon after we  were back at the training room where Madame Helene had her sword and was looking at us with her left hand on her hip 

Where Corinne and I knew that she wanted  to challenge us 

I let Corinne challenge her first then I soon after as we watched Cor walk towards the Madame before getting into position 

Then Corinne started attacking her, showing Madame Helene her improved skills 

As Madame Helene defended Corinne's attacks, Corinne was able to walk forward, attacking her 

Soon after she was able to knock Madame Helene's sword out of her hand, causing the sword to fly forward only for Corinne to catch her sword 

The four of us smile at each other seeing that she had bested Madame Helene then back at the two where Madame Helene had given her a victorious bow 

Corinne smiled holding Madame Helene's sword, above her

Soon after, Corinne stepped to the side, letting me have the chance to challenge Madame Helene

As Madame Helene had received her sword back from my sister and knowingly smiled at me  

I smiled holding my smaller sword and just like before I got into position 

Before she strikes first only for me to defend before I started attacking her back, showing her my improved skills as well 

When soon after I was able to defeat her by swirling my dagger against her sword as closely as I could and motioning it upwards causing her to let go of the grip, letting me catch the sword smiling in success 

As Madame Helene smiled, giving me a bow in her defeat as my sister and friends smiled 

Night Time~

We were walking out of the castle feeling happy after what happened in the training room 

"We are so ready." Cor smiled, informing us 

Aramina raised her arms up "I cannot believe" Aramina started, earning my and Corinne's attention "you and Catalina  bested Madame Helene." Aramina smiles, raising her left hand 

"I must admit, that it was not easy." I smiled as Viveca and Renee nodded to each other 

When Corinne stepped forward and jumped in front of us, with her arms out in a downward circular motion 

"Nothing can stop us!" Corinne smiled  

"As long as the five of us are together." I smiled 

As Miette meowed and placed her paws on her body 

"Let's celebrate!" Viveca smiles 

"Yeah!" Renee agrees and laughs   

Then we started walking to the city, talking then walking to the right turn before seeing something that shocked us 

Corinne gasped in shocked 

Before we hid behind a pile of crates, beginning to head what the Regent's men had to say 

When we see two men carrying a large rectangular wooden crate as the Regent's confidante was supervising this 

Aramina looked at us "What are they doing?" She asked  

"Whatever it is, they don't want anyone to know about it." Renee shook her head as we continued to watch  

"But do you think this has to be related to the plan to harm the Prince or the Duke," I suggested

"It's definitely possible, Lina," Corinne said as she held Miette  

"It's the last one." The man on the right said, looking at the crate 

The confidante took out his dagger before Corinne recognizes

Corinne took out the small pink gem from her pocket, recognizing the gems were the same "The gem matches..." Corinne says before she gasps, covering her mouth 

"That was the knife that used to cut the chandelier," Corinne told us as we looked at her 

"If he was the one who cut the chandelier then... he must be the one who cut the rope from the Prince's Flying Contraption!" I said widening my eyes as Rine and our friends looked at her 

When Aramina and Corinne rubbed my shoulders to reassure me 

"Now what is he up to?" Viveca says 

Before watching him use his knife to open the crate, setting his knife back in his pocket and evilly chuckle 

He lifted the sword that was covered in blue material "These are the perfect party favors for the sword dance at the masquerade ball " The Regent's confidante says, lifting the sword above from the protective material 

Seeing how the sword glimmers in the night sky "The Prince or the Duke won't know what hit them." The Regent's Confidante says 

Aramina gasped when Corinne, Viveca, and I quickly covered her mouth to prevent us from getting caught then looked back at him seeing the two men before they loaded the crates and entered the carriage with the Regent's confidante waved his hand to motion the carriage to start heading to the castle before left

After seeing the Regent's confidante fully leave, we stood up from our hiding place and looked at each other 

"Did you see that?" Aramina asked us, looking back at the street where the crates were there 

"The Regent's men are planning to sneak weapons into the masquerade ball," Renee says 

"We got to warn the Prince." Corinne says  before she sees my worried expression "And the Duke." Corinne smiles softly 

Before the five of us along with Miette started heading to the castle to warn the two before it was too late
