Akira had forgotten what fresh air felt like, after being locked up in Blue Lock for so long. It was nice to be out and about in the real world, after being confined to the facility for more than three weeks.
Forgoing the standard Blue Lock clothing, Akira was now dressed in a white tank top, beige baggy cargo pants, his beloved gold jewellery, headphones around his neck, white trainers, and all personal effects shoved into his pockets. All was given to him by the nice pink lady, who introduced herself as Teieri Anri.
Walking around the shopping mall, with a bunch of free time and money to spare. His own and the black card that Reo gave him to use, even though his purpled-haired friend knew the bronzed teen had a black card of his own he still wanted him to have it regardless. 'spend as much as you want, my treasure' was his exact word's.
Walking into a coffee shop Akira decided to buy himself a drink using Reo's card, knowing that if he didn't use at least the card once he would be upset. As he stood at the counter silently deciding what to order, the bronzed teen hadn't noticed how most of the baristas and other customers were staring.
"Can I have a caramel vanilla and honey iced coffee, please?" The golden-eyed teen asked politely, to which the flustered barista behind the counter nodded "T-That's 2100 ¥ please" Pulling out Reo's black card and paying, Akira took a seat as he waited for his drink, mindlessly scrolling through his socials to pass the time.
"H-hello?" Looking up from his phone, Akira expected to see a barista. Instead, he was greeted by a girl roughly his age maybe a year younger, standing in front of him hands clasped in nervousness. "I was wondering if I could get your number?" the girl said holding her phone out shyly, well now this was awkward.
Alarms started sounding in Akira's head as he tried to figure a way out of this situation, opening his mouth the first lie that came to mind spewed out. "A-Ah, I have a boyfriend" Though he didn't sound the most convincing, the girl seemed to believe it. Profusely apologising, before running back to her friends with her tail tucked between her legs.
Thankfully the barista came with his drink shortly after, thanking the woman he silently finished his drink as quickly as humanly possible, hoping to avoid any more awkward situations.
Walking out of the coffee shop Akira walked past rows and rows of stores, each decorated and vibrant and designed to attract customers inside. None of them caught his attention, till his interest was peeked by a jewellery store, deciding he had nothing better to do the curly-haired boy decided to enter and browse.
Presuring the displays of shiny and pricy jewellery, Akira couldn't help but marvel at all of the beautiful pieces the store had to offer. But none of them called out to him until his eyes fell upon something that screamed the essence of him. A sun belly chain with a matching anklet, at that moment the bronzed teen swore he was in love. He wanted it, no he needed it.
"What a lovely choice sir, but I think it's going to be a bit expensive for you," A sales assistant said from behind the bronzed teen, who looked at him in surprise and embarrassment but said nothing. "If you would like I could help you browse some cheaper options, that would be a bit more in your price range"
At that moment embarrassment turned into anger, how dare he? 'cheaper options my ass' Akira thought, "No I'm good, cadela" he said with the fakest smile he could muster before exiting the store without saying another word. Walking away his blood felt a few degrees hotter, as he couldn't help but let the feeling of humiliation creep in. How could he let someone talk to him like that, part of the curly-haired teen wanted to go back and rip that sales assistant a new one but he decided against causing a scene in public.
But little did he know that someone else was delivering karma for him, Itoshi Sae was an asshole. He knew it, his parents knew it, his brother knew it, and the world knew it. But he was an asshole that minded his business, and if there was one thing he couldn't stand it was people who stuck their noses where they didn't belong.
His teal eyes watched the interaction between the bronzed teen and the hideous-looking sales assistant, scrunching his nose in disgust at the salesman's assumption that the teenager was poor. When Sae could tell just by looking at him, that the boy had money, he was dressed head to toe in designer for crying out loud. His outfit was worth more than that man probably made in a year, watching the curly-haired boy leave without purchasing anything the magenta-haired boy looked to his manager.
"I want him fired, and I also want the set that boy was looking at" As he said it was done, minutes later the old man was sent out in tears freshly fired. "Here you go Itoshi-San" his manager said handing him the bag with the neatly wrapped jewellery inside.
"I'll be back, don't follow" With that the teal-eyed boy walked off in the direction, Akira had moments ago hoping to find him. Sae didn't know why he was doing this, random acts of kindness weren't common for him but something, about how dejected and angry the teen looked while leaving pulled on his heartstrings.
Finding the boy next to the water fountain, flipping a coin into the clear water and silently making a wish. Tapping the boy on the shoulder, Sae's heart skipped a beat when staring into the confused golden orbs he now faced. 'such a beautiful shade' he thought as he examined the rest of his face, and as he presumed he was perfect.
"C-Can I help you?" Akira asked nervously under the examining eye of the beautiful teen before him, what could he possibly want from him? Sae silently handed the bag to the curly-haired teen, who peeked inside of it with wide eyes. "He shouldn't have spoken to you like that, he's fired now"
The bronzed teen couldn't compute what was going on, looking up to the magenta-haired teen "I can't accept this" he said as he tried to hand the bag back to the slightly shorter teen. "They gave it to me for free, it didn't cost me a penny so just keep it it's not like I'm going to wear it," the teal-eyed teen said dismissively as he turned to walk off, it was true the store rushed to give whatever the football prodigy wanted in fear of upsetting him.
"Wait...at least let me buy you lunch...to say thank you" Now normally Sae would have just kept walking, paying no mind to the teen but something compelled him to agree. The two walked towards a nice-looking restaurant, finding themselves seated at a table for two. Now sat opposite each other, the two ordered before settling into a heavy silence.
"Why don't you try on the jewellery," Sae said flatly, looking at the curly-haired teen whose face was painted in a light blush much to the magenta teen's silent satisfaction. "S-Sure," Akira said reaching for the boutique bag, gently unwrapping the gift. Flinching at the feeling of the cold gold against his bear mid-drift, the golden-eyed teen couldn't help but smile at how the belly chain complemented his outfit.
Reaching for the anklet, Akira's eyes widened when the teal-eyed took it from him, sinking onto one knee "Left or right?" he asked not caring at the stares he received from the other diners. "Left" the curly-haired boy was now as red as his hair, as Sae brought the bronzed boy's foot up onto his knee gently wrapping the delicate golden chain with sun motifs around it sealing it with the clasp.
"Perfect," the magenta teen declared as he rose from the floor, taking his seat before a flustered Akira. "I don't even know your name" the golden-eyed teen mumbled looking into the deep teal eyes that seemed to be so devoid of emotion. "Itoshi Sae" he responded curtly.
Their food arrived and as the two began to eat Akira couldn't help but think back to his name, and instantly recognised it, the Japanese treasure, he had heard about him through his father who still had strong connections with Re Al but to avoid making the conversation awkward the bronzed boy decided to not mention it. "Ah nice to meet you Itoshi-San, my name Ito Akira"
Sae wouldn't lie the teen was adorable, his slightly broken Japanese and easily flustered demeanour was rather pleasant, not to mention he was undeniably beautiful and had a nice ass. But it was his last name that caught his attention, 'Ito? As in Ito Riku and Miguel Ribeiro's son,' the teal-eyed boy thought with narrowed eyes confirming Sae's suspension.
Sae knew they had a son, but no one knew his name nor what he looked like as his parents expressed their wish to raise him away from the spotlight. "Are your parents by any chance Ito Riku and Miguel Ribeiro?" the question was greeted with silence, before a brief nod from the golden-eyed boy.
"I'm assuming you play football too then?" the magenta teen asked followed by another nod,
"What position?"
"Striker."
"What team?"
"None"
'None? The son of a footballer not playing for a team now there's a shock' Sae thought looking at the bronzed boy, Surely he should have been scouted by a top-flight team by now. He would have been welcomed into Re Al with no questions asked, his father was a club legend after all. The older Itoshi wondered if he would consider coming to Spain with him, as he would be wasted in this backwater country.
"Me in a program, Blue Lock" Now Sae was interested, he had heard a lot about this program spearheaded by Jinpachi Ego. He even received an invite but declined, finding the idea a waste of time. But the magenta-haired teen listened intently to the boy as he rambled about the program, from his teammates and his games.
"Our last match day after tomorrow, and kinda nervous. Ah me ranting no? desculpe por isso" Akira hadn't realised he was word vomiting, worrying he was annoying the teal-eyed teen. "It's alright, I'm interested twelve goals in three games is no small feat" The compliment left the curly-haired teen red-cheeked once again.
"Ah obrigado, but me had help from Reo, Nagi, and Zantetsu" Sae had heard a lot about Akira's three teammates and from what he could tell, they were nothing special. Not like him, but he hummed at the curly-haired teen's words regardless as his phone buzzed with a call from his manager.
"Ah, sorry I keep you for so long. I pay for lunch so you can leave" The taller teen got up to go pay, but was stopped by a soft hand. "I'll pay" and before Akira could protest "You can pay next time," Sae said handing him a card with his number on it. "Call me." And with that, he left.
