Alvaro's eyes fluttered open, a soft groan escaped his lips as his eyes adjusted to the very limited rays of the sun, washing over the carpet.

His gaze wondered downwards to find a sleeping Morgana on his chest, a smile graced his lips. Perhaps last night's event's hadn't been a dream, but his brother was still dead.

His dagger using, back stabbing brother was dead, when Rebekah came back in tears to him, Morgana and Elijah. He was so filled with rage that he did the only thing that could be done. Revenge.

Alvaro had gone to the hospital, where Elena was sitting like a waiting duck and killed her brutally, he had rebelled in the pleasure of thrashing her about like a ragged doll before drinking her dry.

He had also almost killed Alaric's lady friend, but she had been saved by the Salvatore boys and the young vampire Klaus was interested in.

Kol hadn't been too thrilled about it either, he had been on the road heading for Greendale when he got a call from Elijah. He had gripped the wheel tightly before hanging up.

Alvaro didn't know how his little brother was taking Klaus' death but at least he wasn't spending it alone. Rebekah had disappeared to, he didn't know where but when she got home, he could smell an familiar scent belonging to a certain warlock all over her.

And lastly, Morgana been waiting for him to come home, she had taken him in her arms when he broke down crying for his big brother. The same brother who had encouraged him to follow his crazed dreams as a child, the same brother who tucked him in at night at an early age.

She didn't ask where he'd been or what he'd had done, she knew. He was aware of that, she just held him. Stroking his hair, rocking them back and forth gently as he buried his face into the space between her neck and shoulder.

Whispering calming words into his ear. He could still remember last night's events clearly. Very clearly. He had loved his revenge, the looks on his enemies' faces when they had seen what he'd done.

He hoped that like Damon, they feared him, like Klaus. No, more than Klaus. Because they were stuck with him now, and there's many reasons why he's been labelled the most barbaric of his siblings.

Hell even Mikael feared him, and unlike Klaus. He didn't see any need for the little gang to continue to breath. They were a threat, and they thought the Mikaelsons could be bested.

Well, never in a thousand years had his family been bested. He'd let them have their victory for now, but he was coming for them. And he didn't need anyone's help, not from the remainder of his siblings or Hell.

Elena gasped for air as she shot up. Her eyebrows furrowed as she looked over the room she was in, she glanced down to find herself sitting on a mortuary table.

Before she could question it, movement coming from outside the room, heading towards the door entered her ears. She looked up, a confused glint in her eyes.

"Stefan?" She called just as soft as a whisper, hopeful.

But it wasn't Stefan. Or Damon, Jeremy Caroline or even Bonnie behind the door.

"Stefan?" She called again, a slight fear pouring into her tone of voice.

The door opened with a small click, darkness clocked the tall figure. She narrowed her eyes, concern shining in her doe orbs.

"Damon?" She tried.

The figure stepped out of the shadows. Elena's eyes broadened, her bottom lip dropped as her body froze in fear. The man stood with a emotionless glare, and yet. It was terrifying. His ungodly eyes dull, staring her down like prey in a evil glint.

"Sorry to disappoint you." His southern English accent ran though her ears, making her blood run cold "But I'm not one of your sluts, Elena."

There stood claded in black leather and a long sleeved walnut Henley shirt, what would be the embodiment of Damon's worst fear; Alvaro Mikaelson.

"Alvaro-" she backed away from him, as he stepped forward "-please."

"I don't care for what you want, Elena." He stated, calmly "I only care for what I want. And well, you're overdue for a beating."

She jumped as her back hit the counter. Fear rapped it's claws around her as Alvaro stalked towards her, dangerously calm. She felt up the table, something cold touched her skin.

"I've never liked you doppelgangers," he said as he came closer "always thinking you can survive the ineffable. And dragging everyone else down with you. I hear you claim your different."

She narrowed her eyes, not understanding what he was getting at as he took one more step towards her. Making her lift her head as he looked down at her, disgusted.

"Well, are you?" He inquired "Different from Katerina?"

"Yes." She spat, shoving a small surgery knife into his stomach, causing him to groan.

She took the opportunity to run, she rushed along the hall. She skidded to a halt as a animal like growl reached her ears. Horror gripped at her heart, she ran her wide and glossy eyes around her surroundings before turning.

Alvaro growled, pulling the knife out. He did like a chase. He went into the hall, his head tilted. His scene of smell searching for his prey. His head shot up, eyes dark. He'd caught it.

Elena trudged along the abandoned hall, searching for a way out. The air turned icy-cold, almost as if it knew. Knew what tragedies would befall the doppelganger this night.

The doors banged against the walls, bouncing off their hings. A knife shot through the atmosphere, landing pointy end first in Elena's ankle. She yelpped, looking up to see someone, who was quickly becoming her worst nightmare.

Alvaro stormed forwards making Elena's attempts to pull the knife out to be forgotten as she took trying to flee.

"Do you really think you can out run me?" He hissed.

She rounded the corner, her heart hammering at her chest, she placed a hand on her chest, trying to catch her breath.

A hand sneakily grabbed a fist full of her hair, warm fingers snaking round her neck.

"Got you."

Elena screamed as Alvaro tossed her into another wall. He done it a few hundred times now, or Elena suspected so. It was difficult to tell as he used his vampiric strength and speed. She cried out as he grabbed her again, pulling her up from the ground before dragging her along.

"Please," she raspped "let me go. I've done nothing you. I'm begging you."

He laughed sarcastically, the demonic sound echoing though the hall, dancing above the walls "Oh, on the contrary. That's where you're mistaken, and as for begging." He looked at her, his voice low as he hissed "Begging will get you nowhere."

Alvaro slammed her down on the floor, breaking her ribcage and pelvis bone. She cried out at impact, tears streaming down her cheeks. She let out a fearful sob as she felt his knee on her spine.

"You can scream dear," Alvaro said putting his left hand on her shoulder as the other grabbed her arm "no-ones coming. And no-one can help you."

With those words said......he broke her arm. He hauled the bone backwards. He did the same for her legs and other arm before throwing her onto her back. She watched helplessly as he reached into his pocket.

"You'll like this." He smiled brightly, showcasing the sharp, shiny blade of his old pocket-knife.

She stared at him, petrified. He leaned forward, his face hovering above hers, his breath brushing over her skin "I bet you regret killing my brother now. If you don't, you will when I'm through with you."

He stabbed the knife into her voice-box at lightening speed. Before withdrawing from her. Elena felt like throwing up as she felt his fingers take hold of the fabric of her clothing.

Is this what he intended to do? Rape her? But with his next following actions, she found herself wishing that that was what he was going to do.

Alvaro tore her shirt in half, cleanly from top to bottom. He pressed the blade down at her skin "Many people speculate that I'm Jack the Ripper." His eyes flickered to hers, eyebrow raised slightly "Did you know that?"

She shook her head, as well as she could.

"Oh." He pouted almost, turning his attention to his work "I met Jacky boy. I witnessed his death too, in the shadows. My there are....very dark things in this world, almost as dark as my family and Hell." He sliced open her chest, before piling Elena's skin away as she bit though her tongue.

"Jack once told me, there a part of a woman's body every man, or woman in today's case. Like to gaze upon," he messed about inside her, slicing her lungs, before picking up her intestines in his hand and began to chop her intestines like a sausage "you see. And here's a bit of history for you. He was fascinated with what made one tick."

He released her kidneys after cutting the open like a scientist would, he drove the knife into her right lung. He caught her pleading eyes, begging him to stop. Elena felt hope creeping in as Alvaro stared into her eyes, but it vanished when he smiled.

He ripped open a large gash before doing the same to her left lung, he reached between the two lungs. Rapping his long fingers around her heart, Elena grunted as his grip tightened. He was about to pull out her heart when.

"What's going on?" Meredith questioned, walking towards the young couple, a weirded out look on her face.

The individual hovering above the one on the ground, raised his head, meeting her gaze with slight surprise. Because of her interruption. Meredith's clipboard hit the deck, at the gruesome and horrific sight.

"Oh god." She barely got out, before turning running for the door.

Alvaro sped forward, releasing Elena's heart and slammed Meredith against the wall "Now, now laddie."

The doctor clawed at his hand, but it was no use. He forced her head to stay still before buring his fangs into her neck, he slurpped the crimson liquid before pulling away.

Gasping in pleasure, as Meredith slide to the floor gripping at her bleeding neck, it frightened her how he could drain her dry in so little mount of time.

Alvaro turned on his heel, a spring in his step as he made his way towards Elena. He halted making her look up at him "Like I said. 'No-one.'"

He kicked her head to the side, crushing her neck as his foot slammed down on to it. Blood splattering all over the floor. He smirked, happy with his achievement.

He turned coolly, before strutting away from the dead doppelganger, he waggled his fingers at Meredith before exiting. The atmosphere inside shifted as Alvaro strided out, power being the most dominant feeling and presence leaping and dancing round him.

Even the late works and sleepless patients could feel it, the atmospheric change. A radiating aura of something sinister slithering though the halls.

Caliban was right, war was coming in Mystic Falls. The only difference was, Alvaro wouldn't rest until his brother was avenged.

Alvaro blinked, the memory of the night before flickered away from his attention, he looked down at the sleeping beauty on his chest. He allowed his gaze to linger before slowly, without disturbing Morgana slipping out of bed.

He dressed himself in black skinny jeans and trainers, before grabbing a long sleeved Henley shirt. He found that he quite liked modern day's clothes. But he had every little.

Both Elijah and Klaus had offered hand-me-downs, but he only accepted two pairs of jeans and shirts. Both from Klaus, he still had his old clothes but he was looking for an opportunity to ask his sister or Morgana to take him shopping.

He pulled down the dark purple V-neck, feeling eyes on him as he ran his fingers though his hair "Enjoying the view?" He asked, a cheeky grin on his face.

"How are you feeling?" She questioned, propping her upper body up using her forearms.

He sighed, cheeky nature slipping away. He turned his body slightly to look at her "Not a 100%."

"Your brother just died," she placed her hand on his arm, concern shining in her glass blue and green orbs "it's natural. And you're entitled to that feeling."

"Where were you a thousand years?" He inquired rhetorically, a longing glint looming in the depths of dark chocolate orbs.

She chuckled, a smile bending her lips making a warm feeling crop up in his heart "Dream on, Pretty boy. Dream on and wonder."

He smiled woefully, glancing down before catching her gaze "You can borrow some of my clothes, when you get dressed."

"Thank you," She smiled "I appreciate it. Pretty boy."

His eyes fluttered shut, eyebrows half dipping upwards a pleading expression forming on his handsome face "Call me that again. One more time, please?"

She smiled at him fondly, before rolling her eyes dotingly "Who knew a Mikaelson would beg to be called by a nickname. But then again, it does suit you." The Morningstar teased.

He furrowed his brows, before going to open his eyes only to freeze when she did something unexpected. She kissed his cheek, pulling away as a sly grin graced his lips. His eyes flickered open, he grinned at her before raising to his feet and bounced off. While the smile never left her lips as she tore away the quilt.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Klaus who had hitched a ride in Tyler Lockwood questioned cockly, making Bonnie jump from the coffin that contained his original body.

"What exact are you doing here, Klaus?" Bonnie asked "The deal we made with Tyler was you'd leave his body, and jump into someone else's first chance you get."

"Yes, when I assumed I'd be a pile of ash." He walked inside the cave, towards the coffin "But apparently fate and oxygen intervened, and there I am." He turned his head forward, to look at her "Put me back." He demanded firmly.

"I can't right now." Bonnie protested.

"Your history teacher outed Tyler and Caroline to the council. They're on a warpath and this body is vulnerable."

"I have to help Elena before she has to feed." Bonnie stated.

Klaus cocked his head to the side, a 'really?' expression on his features. He was being to wonder weither they were completely and utterly stupid or uneducated. Everyone knew there was no door number three, feed or die that was choice. Take it or leave it.

"Elena's dead and no longer my concern."

"You're forgetting who saved your life." Bonnie snapped, waving the fact in his face like a flag. Did she really so idiotic to think he'd give to shits?

He grabbed her throat at an instant "You're forgetting I can rip your tongue out. Now, put. Me. Back."

"If I can keep Elena human, you'll have an endless blood supply to make your hybrids. Isn't that what you really want?"

He released her. She peered at him wearily before turning to leave. But he sped to the entrance, stopping her from hurriedly departing.

"Same rules apply. No one knows. No one." He seethed, unaware of his brother's act to avenge him, and the lengths he was going to go to "Do you understand me, Bonnie?"

Rebekah stood in the art studio, going though her 'late' brother's drawings. She had caused Matt to send himself and Elena into the river, last night. Before breaking down, only to find out Ambrose had witnessed the whole thing.

It seemed, as she found comfort in Ambrose. Kol had found it in Prudence as Alvaro sought it in Morgana. Angry tears gathered in her eyes, leading her to throw Klaus's drawings on to the floor. In a outburst of grieve and hurt.

"You should know better than to sneak up on a lady." Rebekah said to Damon over her shoulder, as he glanced around.

"Good advice. Have you seen one?" He questioned, in a sarky fashion.

"Tragic about a Elena." She sneered after turning, he smiled in the same fashion "Not to make a gray cloud grayer, but does Matt even have automobile insurance?"

He narrowed his eyes at her "You don't know?"

"Know what, Damon?" She lifted a eyebrow, eyeing him with narrowed eyes.

"Your brother payed a visit to the hospital last night. He performed surgery on Elena." Damon said, she could see the gears turning in his head, fear creeping into his icy eyes "He cut her voice box, so she couldn't scream. So they wouldn't get interrupted." His eyes met hers "It was horrifying. When we arrived. Meredith was hardly breathing, while Elena's insides had been chopped up like ingredients ready to be put in a soup."

She raised her head. She could see that unlike his friends, Damon had listened to Elijah and Klaus's warnings. And thought on them. Hell she was willing to assume that he was scared of Morgana to, but Damon had always liked Morgana.

She knew how to be the bad guy and get away with it, but ever since Klaus came to town and that mysterious woman turned up at the decade dance she had changed. He knew it was unwise to cross her, that's why he just said remarks and made no movement to cross her, it was a feeling really to begin with.

Then he could see the change in how she acted, she had sided with Klaus almost as if it was natural. Two powerful beings joining together, instead of wasting time fighting to see who was better. But she had became friends with Rebekah beforehand.

"Then you fully understand now." She stated, he nodded at her "I don't surpose any of my siblings have told you this yet." Damon looked at her curiously "Klaus and he ar-were so much alike-" she smiled, but her voice took a turn for dread, her smile dropped "-but, so not alike to. While Klaus acted out Alvaro observed, Klaus searched for his prey like an angry animal. Alvaro stalked his like a snake, waiting, watching, driving the said prey to insanity before striking. And if he couldn't play with his prey," she inhaled "you would hear his shouts from miles away, sence his fury from several countries away."

"You were afraid of him," he whispered, eyes wide "weren't you?"

"We all were, except for Klaus. In the beginning we all went through changes, the only thing is Klaus and Alvaro.....they became people's worst fear. Klaus was like a devil, angry fire looming in his soul. But Alvaro," she paused, looking away from Damon for a second before meeting his gaze "is like fire and ice, a chaotic storm raging for days. By killing my brother-"

"We've doomed ourselves to a fate worse, than death." Damon finished, realising how much he'd landed himself in it.

"Yes." She confirmed.

He looked at her, before speeding forward, the white oak
