Alvaro had been sulking for the bitter half of the morning. He sat reclined into the sofa behind Klaus, who was stuck in his familiar artistic trance. He held a leather bound book in his hand, he stared at the page blankly, while he comfortably stroked Floki.
Who lay curled in a ball in his lap, out like a light. The familiar had chosen to appear on the Mikaelson's doorstep, just a few minutes after his mistress had gone. Floki had slipped past the siblings, only to hop into Alvaro's lap later on in the evening.
Alvaro had spent the sleepless night wondering what was going on in Hell. He had reflected on the argument between himself and Morgana, after much thought. He realized, he should have concealed his anger, and been calmer. But he had felt the Morningstar's mood shift though out the night.
Maybe she was happy, that he was away from her. Maybe it was best for her. That's what he tried to tell himself, but he remembered how Morgana had saved him from Lucifer's wrath. She was making him enjoy life, again. With the Morningstar, he felt things, life wasn't just a game to him anymore.
One where, he was bored out of his mind while he played with people as if they were pawns on a playing board. Klaus glanced at his little brother, who's head seemed to be in the clouds. He inwardly chuckled as Alvaro hardly noticed Kol trying to pluck Morgana's familiar from his lap.
The eldest Mikaelson in the house shook his head, as Kol recoiled away from Alvaro, after his hand had been scratched harshly for the fifth time. It happened on an endless loop, Kol attempted to take Floki from his brother only to be scratched on the hand, before trying again only for Alvaro to slap his hand away, to which Kol always scrowled at him, for.
It seemed Floki still hadn't forgiven Kol, for calling him a 'thing' no matter how much the younger brother apologised and bribed the feline. During the night, Floki had been permanently stuck to his brother, only when Klaus offered him some milk, did the black tom-cat spar an hour or two from Alvaro's side.
He turned back to his painting with fond eyes. Kol scrowled again, after Alvaro slapped him again. He decided to go for a new tactic, he attempted to merely stroke Floki, only to jump back against the sofa. Away from his older brother, clutching his bleeding finger, unaware of Klaus's chuckle and Rebekah, who shook her head in disappointment.
"Pack your bags. We're leaving." Alvaro's head shot up, as Kol quickly forgot his already healed finger. Dark cocoa orbs gazed at Klaus in shock.
"Today?" Rebekah questioned, with a startled nature that sounded defensive while Kol and Alvaro glanced between the two, eyeing the conversation.
"Why not?" Said Klaus, not seeing the point in staying, their friend can easily find them "There's nothing keeping us here. We'll grab the doppelganger and be off."
Kol looked down, briefly before looking towards his baby sister "But tonight's the decade dance."
"So?"
"I'm head of the committee. And we have to go." Rebekah stated.
Kol wondered, it wouldn't be fun but it was an opportunity. Alvaro inwardly groaned in protest, he just wanted to stay in and sulk. Read boring books and criticise television shows.
"I'm not going to any dance." Klaus protested, against it.
"Caroline will be there." Rebekah fired back, causing Alvaro and Kol to snort earning a side-glare from their brother, as Rebekah looked at Alvaro "Morgana will be there to."
Kol snorted in amusement as Alvaro get Rebekah the evil eye, petting Floki reassuringly as he thrashed about, after being fully awoken. He struggled to stand from Alvaro's lap, looking for his mistress who he assumed was home.
"That means nothing to me." Klaus shrugged it off, but that didn't stop their sister from making puppy eyes at the three brothers "Please? I have big plans for tonight. Just go for me?"
Klaus stared at her, before walking forward "Okay, fine." He retreated, looking to the floor, towards the left as he stood before her. He turned his head to look at her, a wicked glint in his eye "One last hurrah."
"One last hurrah, Nik." Rebekah said with a smile, she looked at her other brothers "Boys?"
Kol shrugged, a fox like grin on his face "Okay, sister. As you wish."
Alvaro didn't make an expression, only looked down when Floki pawed at his shirt. Urging him to accept. "Fine, fine. I'll go. I'll go." Floki meowed sharply, Alvaro closed his eyes in frustration before correcting himself "We'll go, happy now?"
"Very." Rebekah said before turning to leave. Only for Alvaro to call out "I wasn't talking to you!"
Klaus rolled his eyes amused as Kol chuckled like Muttly from Wacky Races. Klaus went back to his painting, while Alvaro began to play-fight with Floki as Kol sneaked away. Kol tip toed to his room, pulling out his phone and dialed a number.
"Hello," he answered "would students be open to leave class by any chance? I'tll be quick Ms Spellman."
"I thought you weren't going to this school anymore?" Sabrina Morningstar inquired, as she and her elder sister strutted though the corridor towards the gym.
"Well, technically I do. I just don't show up anymore." Morgana answered, the white haired woman's eyebrows furrowed puzzled.
"So, why are you helping prepare a dance, if you haven't shown up for months?"
"I was surposed to help Rebekah, before....." Morgana trailed off, as Sabrina nodded, understanding.
It had been a lovely morning for two Morningstars, they had gone to the Grill and had milkshakes with pancakes. And after Morgana had mentioned the decade dance, Sabrina suggested they should go. She said the Morningstar sisters should have one last dance, before the drama of their separate lives took over again.
Plus, the white haired teen was hoping to see the fourth eldest Mikaelson's reaction to seeing her sister all dolled up. As for Morgana, she itched to see the 'Save Elena' gang's reaction to witnessing the two most powerful being in the room, later that night.
"Where do you want me to hang this thing?" Elena asked, a disturbed look on her face as she held up a chandelier.
"Argh." Caroline took the chandelier from her grasp "You know what? If Rebekah wanted to hang this monstrosity, she should have shown up to do it herself."
The blonde vampire rolled her eyes, turning and handed the chandelier to a fellow student who was helping out. "Just no." She muttered, her eyes widened when she spotted Jeremy and Matt hanging stars up.
She scoffed with annoyance "What are you doing? You can't just hang them! They're surposed to trickle down!"
"Trickle." Matt repeated, as he and Jeremy laughed from the ladder. Elena chuckled as they just inflamed Caroline even more.
"Well, what do we have here?" Elena and Caroline turned towards the entrance at the sound of an unfamiliar voice, to see Morgana and a snow white haired woman strutted in.
"Quite the friendly spectacul." Morgana finished, wearing the same smirk as she and Sabrina strided in with all of their Morningstar glory.
"What are you doing here?" Caroline asked, after recovering from her shock, half glaring at the ravenette before glancing at the unknown teenager "Who are you?"
"I present to you, love my darling sister. Sabrina." Morgana smirked as the girls looked at each other puzzled.
The two looked nothing a like, it was like yin and yang with their hair. Morgana was taller, and Sabrina had chocolate eyes. But they had the same glint in their eyes, and the way they held themselves was similar.
"As for your other question," Sabrina spoke "we're here to help Rebekah."
"Well sorry to disappoint, but she hasn't showed up yet." Caroline smiled sarcastically, Morgana merely raised an eyebrow as her sister smirked. They beat her there, so what.
"Well, we didn't come here to waste our time on the likes of you, so if you'll excuse us." Morgana smiled falsely, biding farewell "Caroline. False sister."
The two Morningstars strolled away from the vampire and human, they stopped by a black box.
"So, about dresses." Sabrina began, pulling out a purple headband that had a lavender feather attached to it "Who should we go to?"
"Hm, I don't know." Morgana pondered, pulling out a fake white pearl necklace "Maybe Dorian, or Lillith."
Sabrina, who was rooting through the box smiled at the idea that crossed her mind. She looked up at her sister with a wicked glint.
"Lillith."
Morgana turned from the teenaged girl, she had given the pearls to and looked at her little sister with a curious look, her eyebrows narrowed at the look in Sabrina's eyes.
"Go on." She raised an eyebrow.
"I mean why not?" Sabrina grinned, spending her forearms out "Lillith is a brilliant stylist, and don't you want to blow Alvaro's mind?"
Morgana stared at her, eyes wide. Before a smirk curled her lips causing Sabrina's grin to increase "Sister, you are a wonder."
"Ah, what are sisters for?" She questioned, as the shared big, happy smiles.
Alvaro strolled into the school gym with Klaus, apparently Kol had invited Prudence to the dance, and ditched their plan of going together. Not that the two minded, at least one of them was gaining something good from the evening.
The brunette Mikaelson stood off to the side, while his older half-brother stalked around the room looking for the blonde vampire. He had his hands stuffed in the trouser pockets of his old grey suit. He observed, unbothered and unimpressed as the teenagers attempted to dance.
He sighed, they hadn't even got the music right, and the tracks they played weren't his style. He didn't know weither people noticed him stood there in his lonesome, or if they did they dared not to approach him. Which the original was thankful for.
Kol smiled, admiring Prudence's beauty as they danced. His evening was going wonderfully, he had spiked the alcohol, avoided his enemies so far and he had a goddess on his arm. He chuckled as Prudence smirked, like the feline she was, her eyes glinting teasing him.
She halted in her step, he watched as she beckoned him to follow before heading towards the refreshments table, he obliged. She had him a red plastic cup before taking one herself.
He asked her how the repairs to the Academy were going, they spoke about magic. He stood moisturised by the magicks she revealed, his orbs never straying from her figure.
Prudence smiled, looking away from Kol for a second. Her eyes wondered over the decorations, she never experienced a mortal party before but she wondered what it was really like in the '20s.
Prudence hadn't felt so relaxed and....happy in ages, she enjoyed it, being in Kol's arms. And amused when he looked at her like a curious fox as she told him about the magicks she had been studying.
Her smiled dipped slightly, as her eyes landed on Alvaro. He stood alone, observing the room in disgust. She was surprised, wouldn't Morgana be here with him?
"What's up with Mr Darcy?" Prudence questioned curiously, Kol followed her gaze and frowned. Feeling upset for his brother.
"He and Morgana got into a fight," he explained "she disappeared off so they could both cool down."
Prudence hmed, a proud smirk crowned her lips when she caught sight of a familiar pair of sisters, they stood of like a red thumb. The tallest sister, her raven hair hung loosely in curly waterfalls, sticking out boldly compared to her white flapper dress.
The shorter sister, wore a crimson jewelled dress, her snow hair straight with a spirit of a wave as her crimson painted lips were in a form of a wicked grin. Kol and Prudence met each other's gaze, mirroring one another's smirk.
"My brother's gonna have the shock of his life." He chuckled, earning a giggle from the chocolate skinned witch beside him.
Sabrina and Morgana entered the dance, catching the attention of many individuals. Sabrina gazed round the room, she smiled satisfied with the expression on Alvaro Mikaelson's face as he stared trance like at her sister. His lips parted slightly as his eyes were wide open, gazing at the ravenette shamelessly.
Morgana turned her head to the left, as if she felt him starring. She kept his gaze for a few seconds before gracefully tearing her gaze away. Alvaro grinned, showing his pearly whites, chocolate orbs bright as the eldest Morningstar smirked slyly.
Sabrina joined Prudence and Kol, as they observed as Morgana approached Alvaro, as if their little spat hadn't happened.
"Well," his eyes ran over her form, before flickering to meet her green orbs "your lookin' lovely."
She chuckled, a titled smirk on her lips "And as always, your handsome as normal."
"Oh." He widened his eyes cheekily "I'm always handsome, am I?" He grinned cockly "My, my. Your majesty, I had no idea."
"Sod off." She giggled, causing him to mockingly putting a hand over his heart, hurt by the comment only for Morgana to lightly hit his shoulder. He laughed.
"So. About last night," he looked at her, serious all of a sudden "I'm sorry. I should have been calmer and...."
She cut him off, by grabbing his hand, with a apologic smile and glint her eyes "It's fine. The Salvatore's angered you, and Damon angered me. I blew up on you, when you were only being genuine and kind. It's my fault."
He gazed at her, with a frown of what could have been mistaken for sadness and confusion after glancing at the floor "Even after what I said, you still defend me from your father."
She stared at him for a minute, contemplating what to say "I can fight my own battles, and I doubt that even a Mikaelson could survive his anger."
He stared at her, only to look away briefly as slow dance music began to play. He turned, holding his hand to her "Will, the queen of Pandemonium honour me with a dance?"
She smiled gracefully, slipping her hand into his bigger one as she replied "You may, Alvaro."
He grinned merrily, beginning to lead her to the dance floor, their eyes shining as they basking in the watery depths of their opponent.
Alvaro and Morgana stood before each other on the dance floor, Morgana's hand found Alvaro's as they turned anti-clock wise. Dark, rich coco orbs never left the bright blue and green sea ones as their hands released one another.
They stopped in their partner's previous place, before Morgana stepped forwards following the Mikaelson as he moved towards where she stood, eyes never separating. They stopped, she raised her left arm as he moved his right, their hands met in the air.
"So, where you running about in the '20s?" Morgana inquired, curiously as they stared at each other unaware of watchful eyes on them.
"Well, I was playing about in Ireland." Alvaro replied, as he spun her around before rapping his left around her waist, while she lay her hand on his shoulder "But that was before the spat I caused in Riverdale."
She arched an eyebrow, her lips twitched slyly in a hybrid form of a smirk and grin "Riverdale? What was the spat?"
He chuckled, as they side stepping along the gym floor "I kinder went on a rampage." She responded by arching her other eyebrow "It wasn't my fault."
"Really?" She remarked pointedly, she took her hand from his shoulder as he released her waist. Alvaro's left hand took her pale right one before spinning her around in a circle.
He could only imagine, what the Morningstar could have looked like in the 1910s. And before the 20th century, he wondered what it would be like, to dance the night away in New Orleans in 1864. He could see, Morgana's long inky hair flying in the air as her skirts swirled around, lightly grazing the floor before she spun back into his grasp.
She smiled widely as she turned back into him, he grinned, he could spend endless nights like this. Dancing with the Morningstar.
As the night came to an end, the Mikaelson and Morningstar duo decided to head home, and so hand in hand. Morgana and Alvaro strolled out of the school, smiling and laughing only to turn serious when their eyes landed on the line of salt.
Blocking off the school, trapping the people in school grounds. The two glanced at each other, their eyes taking a turn for a nasty sparkle. They both knew, they turned on their heels and stormed back inside looking for his brothers, her sister and Prudence.
Klaus, Jeremy, Stefan and Kol stood while Damon sat on the table beside his little brother watching as Bonnie performed the spell. Kol, who was stood in the shadows on Damon's right glanced to the door worriedly. Prudence and Sabrina had gone to get refreshments when Klaus pulled him away.
"She does this all the time right?" The Bennett's date questioned, concerned.
Both the eldest Salvatore and youngest Mikaelson rolled their eyes in unison, while Klaus opened his mouth to say something, but was cut off by the doors slamming open. Alvaro and Morgana came across Prudence and Sabrina in the hallway.
"What the heaven is going on?" Sabrina questioned, as she and Prudence came to a halt in front of the two.
