Mei life was getting good, she was getting trained by the only general of the Yaoqing. Amelyn, she was already 13 and everything was going ok. She then becomes assisting in missions that Amelyn commanded her to go. When Mei was 18, she already could take care of herself and dog where she wanted with no decision of Amelyn. Amelyn always get protective of her when she was still young. But at when she had 24, a tragedy happened, General Amelyn was assassinated during the attack of the Disciples of the Sanctus Medicus as revenge of what Amelyn did to one of their members and everybody thought that Mei was going to take the place of General...

They really thought Mei was going to be the General...

But they guessed wrong

Mei was going to leave the Xianzhou Yaoqing...

The reason why Mei was gonna leave Yaoqing is because she feels if she stays there, more memories of Amelyn will hunt her in her dreams so she decides to leave the General position to Yueye, a Foxian male as Mei prepares herself to say goodbye to Yaoqing and mostly to Rubilia.

"But why? Why are you gonna leave? This is your homeland!" Rubilia demands to Mei as shaking her shoulders uncontrollably. They were in Rubilia home. Rubilia was a gray haired woman with laboratory gray clothes. She owned a laboratory in a secret place in Yaoqing that was abandoned. After Mei told her the news, Rubilia was sad as she demanded Mei why

"I know you don't want me to go but if I stay here, more memories of Amelyn will haunt me! Sorry... it seems selfish... she was my caretaker... like a real mother to me when my family was dead already... and I don't want to be a burden to everybody..." Mei says as her voice is painful and hurt. She didn't wanted to leave Rubilia,her best friend, but she doesn't want to trigger more memories painful of Amelyn.

"Just... keep in touch! Let's keep in touch and you visit me and I visit you! I am making myself clear?" Rubilia says looking serious as Mei just smiles nervously and rubs the back of her head with her hand

"Alright, we keep in touch" Mei smiles at Rubilia sadly as it's seen that Rubilia almost wants to cry and immediately Mei pulls her into a tightest hug and then leaves leaving Rubilia alone as Rubilia waves sadly and again focuses on her work
