Propped on an old decrepit swing was his brutalized naked daughter. A large rod of metal pinned her body upward.

She was stabbed through the shoulders.

Her hair was disheveled and roughed up— like someone entangled their fingers in them. The knots looked painful.

Fear grew in his chest.

Her chest was ripped open. Chains pierced through her ribcage exposing hollowed nothing. It looked unreal, like a movie prop. She was completely hollowed out.

Heart gone. Lungs gone. Big and small intestines— gone! There was nothing there, she looked like a butchered animal hung on a hook to bleed out. Ready to be carved and served to customers.

Her arms were tied behind her. Aizawa convulse, abs flexing, as his throat begins to spasm. He began to dry heave, but nothing.

He had nothing in his stomach.

He hasn't eaten in days.

Laying neatly on her lap covering her womanhood, was her clothes... and her detached tail. Her... some chopped off her tail! It was curled up neatly on top of her clothes.

Her small left Breast had golden hard wax encasing her breast, her skin looked red— she was tortured...

Was she raped?

A fear every father dreads to hear or know their daughter went through.

Her right pierced with a gold safety pin through her nipple was another stupid letter!

DAMN THOSE LETTERS!

Dammed them all!

Shouta collapsed to his knees, face flush with realization— of dread. His heart was so loud he thought they burst his eardrums.

He couldn't breathe. His throat repeatedly spasmed and she struggled with himself just to breathe.

Gasp!

He screamed.

He didn't stop.

Not until his lungs were empty— when his voice broke and gave out. Until he made heaven known his anguish.

CAW!

The bird flew away in droves for they could not stand the cry of a father. A cry of a man. A cry of despair, not even heaven could stand.

The clouds begin to let their yield go. Within a second Shouta was soaked to the bones.

The clouds cried for her.

He cried for her.

He would turn evil for her. The evil within him grew.

Aizawa's stomach dropped into nothingness, his hands itched from the misery in his heart. Time stopped for him, and the only thing he could see was her. His vision blurred— voice raw and broken.

He broke that day— a broken man for a broken life.

He wanted to run in and hold her, but the logistical side of him won out... mostly. He called Hizashi first he wanted— no, needed someone that wouldn't blame him. His mouth felt dry as he called the police, he was astonished by his own calmness during the call— as calm as a man who lost his voice.

The police got there before Hizashi.

Of course, he was the first and main suspect. He had never felt so small— so guilty of the death of an individual like the moment the police interrogated him. Hours passed — it took the combined strength of their hero name and the career of Hizashi and Nemuri to get him free.

Suspicion never left until they retrace her steps, but even then some still saw him as a monster.

So did he.

What type of father neglects his child to the point she vanishes in public? This one.

Aizawa forced his way into the morgue. Hizashi was asked to verify her body, he did it for the sake of Shouta.

But Shouta wanted to see her one last time. Hold her one last time.

He did.

He cried into her cold dead body. She smelled of formaldehyde and preservatives. Her broken ribs jabbed into his torso.

His baby girl.

Broken and dead.

Hizashi wasn't alone— Nedzu, her other legal guardian, was there. Though she did not live with him, he too loved her as his own.

He too was stuck in the enviable seductress known as the pass. Those long hours where they brushed each other... he missed her company and her many tea parties.

They held many conversations— in the languages of animals. He felt more himself in her presence.

Shouta refused to leave her body, and Hizashi had to practically drag him out of the morgue. He shoved his friend into his car and took him home. Once the two were in privacy away from any prying eyes, Shouta broke again.

He cried like a baby in the arms of his friend. A reaction he didn't give to Oboro.

He didn't lose everything with Oboro. Only a friend.

But he has now.

Kitty.
