[AUTHOR'S POV]
"H-How...?" Logan whispered in terror as he saw the man they believed to be helpless in the face of them and their torture standing there in all his mighty glory.
At their shocked expressions, Andrius scoffed angrily and said. "Did you truly believe it would be so simple to even touch me? You should have been wiser."
As Logan took a step back, a sense of dread crept through him as he realized that they had been vastly overestimating their abilities and underestimating the true strength of Andrius. He laughed again at their shocked expressions.
"I allowed you all to believe those things so that I could easily shatter all those meaningless fantasies in your head." Andrius took another step forward as Logan collapsed to the ground.
Andrius's menacing glare was directed at other members, all of whom appeared terrified, with none daring to make a move in his direction.
"You thought I was weak..." Andrius's stare made them all shiver. They were all feeling stupid about themselves.
How could they have forgotten that there were times when no one wanted to be on the council team because he would murder one of them at every meeting? The fact that they thought this man was weak was their biggest mistake.
"No...!!" With a growl, Andrius yelled at them. As his words came to an end, a painful noise began to erupt in the surrounding area. Those demons who had come to witness Andrius's destruction were now crying in agony, unable to bear the pain inflicted by Andrius.
"It was all a show to show you that none of you can do anything against me... unless I let you!" Andrius declared, not even looking at the screaming demons. They couldn't even use their powers in front of him.
"It doesn't really matter now. You're all going to die regardless." Andrius let out a loud, sinister laugh as he said these words, a laugh that chilled the hearts of his terrified victims.
His words moved them to kneel in front of him and beg for their lives. Andrius gave them a bored and frustrated look as if he didn't care about their pleading.
"I'm sick and tired of these council members..." Andrius uttered those frustrated words, not even paying attention to the council members pleading for their lives.
"W-We'll break the council team. We will never put ourselves in front of you. But, my lord, Andrius, please spare our lives." Andrius scoffed at their begging words, saying.
"I'll handle it myself. So put an end to your drama." With that, he turned around and faced the crowd, which was filled with nothing but pain.
For a moment, the council members were relieved that Andrius had spared their lives, but their relief was short-lived when they saw Austin standing in front of them with a deadly glare in his eyes and a dark axe in his hands.
"M-My lord... you said..." One of the council members attempted to speak, but Andrius cut him off.
"I never said I'd protect you from someone who wants to kill you..." That was all he said, and only their screams could be heard after that, but Andrius was focused on the crowd, which was screaming in pain. He was demonstrating his abilities and the consequences of opposing him.
"Enjoying!!" Andrius stated emphatically that those agonizing screams appeared low.
He could hear people screaming and pleading with him to spare them, but he was not stopping and continued to cause them pain. They all wanted to kill him and his wife, so why is he going to spare them?
None. He spared no one and killed them all. Their dead bodies fell to the floor one by one, like insects dying on the floor. His rage from the previous six months was finally surfacing, and these demons were bearing the brunt of it. He would never have left his pregnant wife alone like that if it hadn't been for the sake of his pregnant wife.
"Marcus!" Marcus, his most trusted man, stood beside him, kneeling in front of him. Andrius cast a glance at the council members' dead bodies. He was reminded of Della. She came to him to seek vengeance on her husband. He doesn't want anyone else to come after his family.
"Kill anyone who is related to one of the council members. Nobody should be left behind. No one, not even a child. I don't want anyone to come back and bother me." Marcus replied, 'yes, my lord,' and went about his business as directed.
"Rowan has gone missing, Andrius." After noticing his absence from Rowan, Austin informed him. Andrius clenched his teeth.
"I hate that bastard." That was all he said, and the black smoke surrounded them, and as the black smoke faded, so did they.
-------------
Rowan was hurriedly marching in the direction where he was feeling that powerful and boundless energy. If what Mavka said was true, Andrius's child had to be in the same direction as he was heading.
Rowan notices that Andrius has sent Arima to an unknown place. It took him nearly an entire morning to locate Arima's hiding place. He was not, however, going to back down from killing Arima and those kids today.
Andrius stood by his words. He dispelled their fantasy that Andrius was weak. He shattered it badly, and he left no room for anyone to believe that Andrius could ever be weak.
No, he showed his weakness to them by his own wish. He let them do whatever they wanted. But their torment was just a warm-up for him.
They thought they had Andrius under control for 6 months, but Andrius revealed his true self at the perfect time, shattering all of their hopes.
Even Rowan was convinced that he would never be able to defeat Andrius. But he will not back down from murdering his wife, for whom he has done so much. He nearly annihilated half of the demon realm's population. Rowan will not let him live in peace now, even if Andrius kills him.
Rowan eventually arrived at the top of a cliff from which a village could be seen. He was now certain that Arima was present in this village. It was a good place to hide from demons because there was literally no one there.
Rowan, on the other hand, was still unsure of her exact location. His gaze was fixed on the woods, where he could see smoke flying high in the sky as if someone was burning something. He ran in that direction without wasting any time, only to come to a halt in front of the house, which was hidden in the woods from everyone's eyes.
That's when his gaze was drawn to Arima through the open window of the house. The other two women were astounded to see him there.
That's it! They all are dead today...
Rowan took his first steps towards the house with that idea, but before he could even approach the territory of the house, Willa made the first move, using her powers. She triggered the shield around her home, preventing Rowan from entering and forcing him to back up.
Even though the shield was ineffective against the strength of those babies, it could temporarily halt Rowan. Recognizing that the barrier could no longer keep Rowan at bay, she considered another option.
She snapped her fingers in her other hand, and a blue butterfly emerged out of her snapping, flapping her tiny wings as she flew through the air. Willa turned to both of the girls and told them.
"You should both follow this butterfly. It will take you to a more secure place away from here. Carry the children with you. Go!" Willa was staring at Rowan as she told the girls all of this.
"But, Willa, what about you?" Alina inquired, worried and panicked. They couldn't leave her here like that, dealing with a demon like Rowan. Willa laughed at Alina's remarks.
"Don't stress about me. If I can handle my devil cousin, he'll be nothing more than an insect. Now go!" Willa spoke pointing towards Rowan who was still trying to break the shield, and lastly ordered the girls, who didn't lose any time in following her advice.
Arima took stumbling steps into the room where her babies were asleep. After a brief moment of thought, she grabbed a shawl from the bed and gently covered her babies in it, not wanting to harm them in any way.
Holding them close to her chest, Arima and Alina followed the butterfly, which led them to Willa's chamber. As they entered the chamber, the butterfly guided them to a wall that unexpectedly opened like a door, and the butterfly entered it.
Alina and Arima exchanged a brief glance before following the butterfly. That butterfly guided them through an underground passage to the forests behind Willa's home. As soon as the butterfly emerged in the open area, it vanished, leaving the girls alone.
"We should move." Alina proposed as Arima affirmed, and they both moved forward. They have no idea where they were going, but if the butterfly guided them here, as Willa claims, it must be secure.
They simply must get away from Rowan as quickly as feasible. Their partners will find them from anywhere, so all they have to do is shift away from Rowan.
However, they must slow down because Arima is no longer able to run fast. When she got close to a large tree, she made Alina halt and help her. Even though Arima was exhausted and her body wanted to rest, she did not let go of her babies and kept them near to her.
"Arima..." Alina was also concerned about her. She supported Arima's shoulders while she took long breaths and rested her entire body against the wall.
"Are you already tired?" Arima's eyes opened instantly when she heard that sinister voice. Rowan was standing a few steps away from them when both of the ladies glanced behind them.
"Willa..." Alina whistled, concerned that something had happened to Willa. Rowan shook his head and laughed angrily.
"I've got much more important work here than coping with that witch..." Rowan's eyes were dark as he said his concluding words to the babies and Arima.
Arima felt a shiver run up her spine and an icy dread settle in her heart as she saw his evil gaze directed at her children. She disguised her terror, however, with a direct glare at Rowan.
She'd rather die than let him harm her children. Arima clutched her children close, shielding them from the impending peril of Rowan's dark stare.
"Ahh..." Alina let out a small shriek as she was dragged behind, causing Arima to turn her head in that direction to see Alina being brought back to Austin, who appeared in a flash and then vanished with Alina.
Rowan and Arima both realized that if Austin was here, Andrius was there as well. It was the greatest thing for one, while it was the reverse for the other.
"I only need a few seconds to finish these..." Rowan attempted to approach them but was halted by her booming voice.
"Stand right there, Rowan!" Arima exclaimed loudly, pointing her finger at him and stating firmly. "Don't even think about approaching me. It won't be good for you."
Rowan stared angrily at Arima as she spoke to him in this tone and with this furious gaze. Ego problems. But he needs to finish them quickly because that's all that matters right now. With that thought, he took a single step and came to a stop with the most sinister presence there.
"You should not ignore my wife's words, Rowan..." A sigh of relief went through Arima's body as she heard the sinister voice she had been hoping to hear for months.
The only dark presence where she felt secure. He had two arms around her and his face was near her ear.
"She understands me better than anyone..." As she heard his sinister voice in her ear, Arima closed her eyes in relief.
Rowan stared at the couple, while Andrius gave him the deadliest stare. Andrius forced Arima to rest on the thick trunk of the large tree while whispering in her ear.
"Keep your eyes closed." Andrius focused his attention on Rowan as he said this, and Arima closed her eyes as he said it, knowing he was about to do something cruel in front of her eyes.
As Arima closed her eyes, the remaining softness in Andrius's irises disappeared. In an instant, Andrius emerged in front of Rowan, his pupils drowning in the enveloping darkness.
Rowan grabbed his neck in a vice-like hold, but Andrius didn't move or respond. Instead, he simply returned Rowan's chilling gaze, seemingly unconcerned about the situation.
However, he quickly realized that he shouldn't spend another second on this man. With that idea, Andrius grasped his throat and dug his fingernails into it, dripping blood.
Rowan's body jerked in reaction to the intense agony, but he didn't let go of his grip on his neck. Andrius applied more pressure to Rowan's neck and backed him up as he crashed into the tree behind him.
Andrius exerted such force on him that the tree began to creak under the weight of their joined bodies, and a few leaves dropped to the ground as a result of the force that caused it to shake. Rowan's hold on his throat had loosened by this point.
"6 months..." Andrius said calmly, staring at him with anger. "I gave you six months for these, and now it's my time..." Andrius clenched his teeth, stepped back, seized his head, and slammed it against the trunk. Rowan's head bled profusely, and the tree was shattered as a result of the power with which Andrius slammed his head.
Arima firmly closed her eyes as she heard a loud bang, but she courageously opened them to see Rowan's condition. He was on his back, his head coated in reddish-black blood. Andrius tried to grasp him, but Rowan vanished in black smoke and emerged behind Andrius.
"I'm not going to die so lightly, Andrius!" With those remarks, Rowan grabbed a dark blade and marched toward Andrius.
For a brief second, Arima was terrified for Andrius, but she was relieved when Andrius made the next move. He grasped the spear in the center and shattered it.
Andrius held the pointed piece in his palms and plunged it into Rowan's torso. Arima moved her face away from the brutal sight and held her babies close to her chest at this point.
Andrius applied more pressure to the blade as he watched Rowan's agonized response. Rowan was more hurt because the spear was created with his own energy and strength. Andrius twisted the weapon while it remained inside his torso.
With Andrius's move, Rowan was in excruciating agony. His own weapon was being used against him, which was more excruciating, and his healing power wouldn't help him in this case, either.
Andrius kept his eyes fixed on his pain-stricken face as he guided the weapon slowly up into his body, tearing it apart. Andrius came to a halt when he felt the sharp tip of the blade close to Rowan's heart.
"I feel sorry for you, Rowan..." When Rowan heard Andrius' remarks, he knew it was the end of him. "I'd never met you long enough for you to hate me. That was pathetic, you know?"
Andrius remarked, his glare directed towards him, as Rowan crouched on the ground, unable to move due to agony. He had finally recognized it was the end of his life.
He was unable to kill Andrius or his wife and that made him completely dissatisfied. He gathered the last of his power and stared back at Andrius before uttering his last words.
"I l-loathe you, bastard..." Andrius looked at him, frustrated and bored, after hearing his last comments. It wasn't at all surprising.
"Pathetic..." Andrius moved the weapon up, tearing his heart and throat, and removing the weapon from his body with that word.
Rowan's lifeless frame collapsed to the ground, his dead eyes submerging in the darkness. Andrius quickly burned his entire body to ashes, leaving no opportunity for him to return to him as an evil spirit.
Andrius exhaled a sigh of relief and returned his attention to Arima, who sat there with her wide eyes fixated on Rowan's burning corpse. He approached her, capturing her attention.
"I told you not to open your eyes, butterfly." In reaction to his freely stated comment, she gave him an angry glare. He had expected this.
She must be furious with me...
Seeing Arima's next move, he felt that this idea of him was too tiny. She hurled a stone at him.
"YOU'RE A JERK!!" She yelled, took a stone from the ground, and hurled it at him again, just missing him.
"How dare you leave me in this state! Huh!" She continued to hurl stones at him, and some of them were successful enough to strike him.
"Calm down, Arima." Now, the all-powerful demon lord had no idea how to calm his enraged wife.
"I've warned you a hundred times that you should inform me about your stupid plans! But you!!" She hurled another stone at him, this time striking him on the right shoulder. He eventually got close to her and stooped in front of her while saving himself from the stones she was hurling at him.
"Arima, kindly relax-"
THAP!
He received a sweet slap from his wife making him turn his face away, who was still staring at him with her adorable green eyes filled with tears and anger, in front of his cool words.
"Oh, butterfly, that hurts..." Andrius whimpered falsely, but Arima's glare intensified as she seized his collar with one hand while clutching their babies with the other.
"You deserve it, you demonic jerk! I'm telling you, Andrius, if you do anything like that again, I'll find another man for myse-" He grabbed her back of the neck and pulled her in for a hard kiss before she could complete her statement.
She can be as enraged as she wants, but he will never accept such words from her. Never. He's still a possessive husband.
Arima remained quiet during the kiss, her hand still on his collar. After a minute, he drew away from their kiss and joined their forehead.
"Do I have to remind you, Arima, how possessive your hubby is?" Andrius spoke in hushed tones as he gazed into her eyes, his face near to hers.
Arima was deafeningly quiet and turned away from him. Her tears had rolled down her cheeks. Andrius did nothing but grin and kiss her tear-stained cheeks.
"You've grown chubbier, butterfly..." Andrius laughed as Arima shoved him away, sobbing.
"Get away, you stinky demon." Arima whined as he tumbled to the ground, grinning at her furious yet adorable self. Her nose and cheeks were both flushed as a result of her crying.
Andrius then did what he had been wanting to do for months. Despite the fact that he was still away from her and maintaining a small space as their babies were in her arms, he drew her into a close and warm embrace.
This time, Arima let out a loud cry while closely embracing him. She sobbed in his arms as he continued to comfort her by stroking her scalp.
"I missed you so much, Andrius..." she said after she had settled down.
"I missed you too, my butterfly," he said, looking into her eyes. Arima smiled at him, her face resting on his forehead.
When they were savoring their lovely moment of reunion, Andrius's hands were still around her. Someone attempted to draw their attention away from each other and towards them, and it was none other than their babies, who cried in Arima's embrace, drawing their attention to them.
"They have your eyes." Andrius said this while admiring his babies' large doe eyes, which were staring at him innocently.
He caressed their heads while they both blinked their adorable green eyes at him. Arima smiled as she observed the interaction between the father and the babies.
"Let's go home." Andrius spoke as Arima nodded without a doubt.
"Yes, please," she said as she rested against his shoulder. After all, that's all she hoped for, and it's now fulfilled.
Her family and a secure
