~ Aaliyah's pov

"Well." She began, "I was coming out my apartment to go to the gym and as came out, your boyfriend Zay, was going into your apartment. But he wasn't alone. I didn't see her but I heard a girl voice and I knew it wasn't you. I mean I've known Zay since we were kids I don't know why he would do that! So I called you to make su-"

"What." I said. My voice was breaking and tears started forming in my eyes.

"I'm so sorry Aaliyah."

"Your lying." I said, the tears now falling down my cheeks. I tried to force myself to not think it was true. We've been together for 2 fucking years, and he does... this?

"I'm not I swe-"

I hung up the phone, not to be rude though. I quickly found Zay's contact and called him.

Z ๐Ÿค

That was what his contact read. It rung 4 times before he picked up.

"Hey Babe."

"Heyy." I said, my voice sounding like nothing happened. "Where are you?"

"I'm at your apartm-" There it was. I heard it. A girls voice. She wasn't lying.

"What was that?" I asked, my voice now started to crack.

"What was what?"

"That noise Zay. Don't play stupid."

"It was just the tv calm down Babe."

I wanted to scream and shout at him but I had to catch him. So I thought if I play stupid, he'd think I'd believe him and then I would show up and see it for myself.

"Oh, ok. Um, I'll be home in about two hours. I've got stuff to do at work."

"K babe."

And with that, he hung up.

I burst out crying and dug my face into my hands so no one could see. After about 5 minutes of crying I looked at my hands and saw black. My mascara. I pulled down thing down above my head and looked in the mirror. Realising how bad I looked made me cry even more. Luckily for me I don't cry loudly. I have a quiet soft cry, which I was very thankful for so no one could hear me. That was what I thought anyway.

Suddenly I heard a knock on my window. I turned to see who it was and my eyes met with Dominik's. Realisation hit me when I remembered what I looked like. I turned my head away and used my hand to cover the side of my face.

"Hey hey hey." He said quickly, "What happened?"

"Nothing... i- it doesn't matter" I said with a cracking voice.

"Of course it matters Liyah don't be silly."

There was silence for a bit as I didn't know what to say. I didn't expect him to be there. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy he was here.

"Can I open the door?" He asked, with his soft voice.

I nodded my head in response and he pulled the door open. He then held out his hand for me to take.

"Come on, I'll take you home."

Without even thinking I grabbed his hand and went outside. I still had my hands over my face while he pulled me into a hug. Which somehow, helped me calm down.

"I don't know what happened but I'm so sorry." He spoke into my ear.

"Thanks." I said, us both pulling out the hug at the same time.

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

I had to think about it before I nodded. "Uhm... sure."

We were now only 2 minutes away from my apartment now. I'd told him everything that happened and we'd switched subjects since then. Actually now we were laughing our heads off.

"So why did he even do that!?" Dom laughed.

"I don't know! But to this day it still makes me laugh." I said, finally starting to calm down

"Yeah I can tell, there's tears of laughter falling down your cheeks!" Which just caused me to laugh even more.

And suddenly I'd forgot about everything that had just happened. I'd forgotten about the phone call, I'd forgotten about my boyfriend. It was as if Dominik could just distract me from everything. Almost as if he could take my sad feelings away from me, put them in a jar, and replace them with happy ones.

But that jar suddenly broke, and all of those sad feelings came rushing back to me when I realised where we were. My apartment complex. We pulled into the car-park and he turned the engine off.

"Thank you Dom." I spoke in almost a whisper.

"No problem." He replied breaking eye contact.

"I mean it Dom." His head then turned back to me, "You really helped me get my mind off things."

"It's the least I could." He answered. I looked into his eyes to see them already staring into mine. We stared for a few seconds before I turned away and cleared my throat.

"Um, I'll, um, see you around."

"Y-yeah, you to. Bye."

I gave him a quick smile before I closed the door and walked towards the entrance.
