WILLIAM SHERLOCK SCOTT HOLMES , known as the world's only consulting detective ( in fact , he invented the title ) , often regarded as a freak or machine . incidentally , he refers to himself as a high - functioning sociopath .

still the addict , sherlock solves crimes as an alternative to getting high . he's considered a show - off , risking his life to prove that he's clever on a frequent basis alongside his blogger , dr . john watson . 

unable to be left alone with his own mind for too long , sherlock tends to shoot walls or conduct highly concerning experiments while bored . he refuses to remain idle for long , always searching for the next great mystery to stretch his mind ( and its accompanying palace ) to the limit .

sherlock is naturally insensitive to the feelings of others , coming off as arrogant and pompous due to his apathy complex . however , he wasn't always this way . as a child , he was considered rather emotional . . . until a particular incident so traumatic that his mind rewrites it to protect himself . after all , caring is not an advantage . he learned that quite young .

each person has someone they want to protect . it isn't too hard to determine that sherlock's pressure point is centered around a certain army doctor . moriarty , magnussen , and the woman all came to this conclusion . . . are you observant enough to realize it , as well ?

hardly one of the angels , the widely admired reichenbach hero is easily the most perceptive person you will ever meet . in fact , he's capable of reading you with minimum effort . five minutes alone would make him an expert .

after all , funny little brains are so effortless to observe .
