WARNING: MILD MENTIONS OF OREN'S EATING DISORDER

Carla sighed as she put her dance bag on the ground and fell onto her bed. The past few days have been busy. Shane didn't like the idea of using his choreography for the audition so they went with hers which the girl thought was complete bullshit because Shane's was ten times better than hers.

Carla tried her best to make time for her boyfriend. But it wasn't easy. Their schedule would never align. She would be free, he would be busy. She would be busy, he would be free. And the girl hated it. She hated how she could barely spend time with her boyfriend who literally lived a few steps away.

But the girl was on a mission. All she needed to do was get up from her comfy bed, change into something nice and go see her boyfriend. It was about lunchtime and she knew he would be free.

The girl changed into a white sweater, jeans, and shoes as she headed out and to Oren's room. She smiled at some people she knew. She passed the boy's restroom but was stopped when she heard someone gagging. She knew she shouldn't think too much about it but when she heard the voice in there, she knew she had to go in.

"Um." The girl walked in to see her cousin and boyfriend. Her cousin looked angry about something. "What's going on?"

"Yeah Oren. What is going on?" Zach said, looking at his cousin then to the boy.

"Nothing. You shouldn't be in here Carls." Oren said, setting down a container of food.

And that's when Carla knew what was happening. Why her cousin was so upset.

"Please don't tell me."

"It's not what it looks like." Oren said.

Carla shook her head. "We don't lie to each other remember?"

"Tell her." Zach said.

"You shut up." Oren said, getting upset.

Zach narrowed his eyes. "Tell her or I will."

Oren looked down, ashamed that this was happening. He didn't think it would come back. He was doing so well. "It's back."

Carla's heart sunk. The boy who she loved the most, who she thought was doing fine, was dealing with something she knew was so mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted for him. And she never felt the need to check up on him. Because she thought he was fine.

"Babe."

Oren shook his head. "Please don't."

"Why didn't you tell me? I could have helped."

Oren scoffed. "I'm not some mistake you need to fix Carla."

"What?" Carla was confused. That was not what the girl meant. "That's not what I meant."

"Save it ok. I don't need your pity. I don't need your help. I can do this on my own."

"Oren."

"Save it." Oren said, picking up his things and leaving the girl confused. The girl felt tears come down without knowing. Zach pulled her into a hug.

What just happened?
