"That baby coming out yet? Your stomach has grown twice the size in three hours." Draco says impatiently, staring at her stomach now.
Elise turns away under his stare "Obviously, genius!"
"Jeez. Don't make the pregnant woman mad, check." Draco snorts.
"Shut it will you?" Elise orders, as she presses a palm to her stomach and waits.
"What?" Draco comes up behind her and watches what she is doing from over her shoulder.
"I can feel him." Draco got up and sat in front of her on the couch now and stared at where her hand was, then paused and looked up.
Elise looked up at him too, he had a stupid grin on his face. He laughed. She rolled her eyes. "Care to explain your stupidity to me right now?"
Draco laughed again. "You called my son a him." He snickered. She sighed and smacked him on the arm as he was laughing.
"Your getting to my head. Better shut it now before I do it for you." She sighs and replaces her hands.
"Can I try?" He says with excitement still watching her hands carefully.
She paused and stared at him now. He has very much changed since the war, he is kinder, softer, and braver, she admired his changed and who he is now. She nodded stiffly and prepared herself for his hands, but was surprised.
He gently placed his hands on her stomach, they were warm, and they shook slightly. She felt his shakiness and placed her hands on top of his to steady them. She felt a kick right away and smiled at his alarmed face.
"I felt him," he said quietly. "I felt him!" He shouted now with a huge smile of joy planted on his face.
Elise laughed but suddenly could picture this to be a reality instead of an assignment.

"I think something is wrong, I think we should go to the medics wing," Draco announced the next morning, waking Elise up.
She peaked through her eyelids as sunshine blasted her eyes. "What...do you...mean?" she yawned.
"My son still isn't born!" He exclaimed, frustrated.
"Calm down, they said early in the morning the babies will be being born as well, we still have time." She said closing her eyes and resting her head.
"Even if it's 11, right now?"
"It's what?!" Elise shouted and the tears started to stream down. "Oh, no, no, no." Her hands shake in front of her face and the tears came stronger now.
Draco didn't hesitate to rush over to Elise and try and calm her down. "Hey, no, sh, I didn't mean to get you worked up. He will be fine, he's just a late baby. It happens all the time. Elise, please don't worry." He rubbed calming circles on her arms and tried to calm her.
"This is the first, what if he doesn't make it and we don't get another chance? What if I blew the first chance and that's it?" Elise asks herself with a shaky voice.
"Don't think just listen." Suddenly Elise hears his voice right next to her ear in a whisper. She nods slowly. "It doesn't matter, okay? Let's just make it through this in steps and deal with what is right in front of us, which is getting you to the medics' wing, okay?" He asks softly and gently.
She nods again and lets Draco help her up and ready to leave their flat for the medics' wing.
