Frozen, frozen. Everything was frozen; Time, breakfast, the atmosphere, them, their surroundings, cold solid ice.
Elise's eyes were frozen, with tears, her mouth gaping and gasping under her hands, frozen.
Victor's eyes were wide as well, but they weren't for what his wife had just done, frozen.
And, Madelena's hand was red-hot. She was emotionless, her face was blank, pale, frozen.
"You...y-you're-Mal...m-m-Malfoy. Y-you're, a-a Malf-foy?" Victor shuddered out, thawing everything out. All eyes were on Victor. Victor's eyes were on the blonde boy, until he suddenly disappeared.
"I haven't the faintest idea why you brought him here," Elise's mother spoke. "But he needs to leave-"
"No, we do. Do you want to know what he was trying to get me to tell you, mother? We are engaged and I am pregnant." Elise barked and disapparated as well.
To Draco, his breathing was panicked, his hands were in his hair rushing through it, and then fisting them, tugging on his hair, at the roots. Elise rushed to his side, and took him into her arms. "Sshhh," she hushed softly.
"I'm the enemy, Elise." He pushes her away.
She hesitated to answer. "Is that what you think?"
"I can never forget it," Elise comes carefully closer and closer. "It's who I am and always will be, there's no escaping it."
"Where did the little boy who said otherwise go?" Elise cracked a smile.
"I don't-I can't-" But he was lost with words, his mind was a jumble, and his mind didn't know which to choose from that jumble. Elise hugged him again.
"We can leave, we should leave. We still need to visit your parents," She smirked, softly.
He shook his head on her shoulder. "No, Elise stop." His voice raised and he pushed her away more fiercely. "I am the enemy, in everyone's eyes, and in y-yours." His voice began to shake, and tears began to roll down his face. Tears, the ex-death eater was crying. He turned away from her, hiding his weak and venerable state.
Elise had frozen again, standing across the room from him, watching. She had never thought about seeing this boy cry, nor did she want to. He acted so toughly, and so horribly mean, but really, he was scared and needed comfort and strength.
"No one is perfect Draco." Elise walked cautiously closer to him. "Not even me." he scoffed but a light smile washed over his face and disappeared. "Mistakes make us who we are, so what if yours are bigger than some. Your Draco Malfoy, my future husband." She rolled her eyes, he smiled again and locked eyes with her.
