Kano POV

It's been 2 weeks since Zoya and I have been living at our new house on floor 24. The assault team has been grinding hard on the boss rooms making it to floor 49. Of course Zoya and I have been joining the fight but recently I have been more protective and alert when fighting, making sure Zoya is safe. I think she has been caughting onto this but hasn't said anything. Today is just a relax day and we are lying down on the grass outside our house looking up at the sky. She is lying right next to me hugging me.

Zoya: Today's weather is nice.

Kano: It's always the same though*chuckle*

Zoya: yeah but for some reason I feel like it's extra nice.

I don't respond

Zoya: Hey... what's wrong?

Kano: It's nothing... just thinking about how close we are to reaching floor 50, the midpoint of the game.

Zoya: Yeah... I've been meaning to ask you...you seem a little tense when we're fighting.

Kano:*thinking* damn she found out.

Kano:It's just that, before we met whenever I fought a boss, I wouldn't have to worry as much about protecting other players but now...

Zoya: Your worried about protecting me and fighting at the same time.

I remain silent but nod. She gets up a little and turns to me and places her hand on the side of my face.

Kano: I don't want to lose you too.

Zoya: Too?

Kano:*sigh* I lost my parents a couple of years before SAO in a plane crash and my brother and I were very close to them.

Zoya: I'm so sorry... I didn't know.

Kano: It's alright, but I never want to feel that much pain again. So I don't want to lose you too.

She lays back down and hugs me harder.

Zoya: It's ok, I know you will protect me, and I will protect you.

I give her a kiss on her forehead.

Zoya: Hey... I know it's kinda uncool to talk about your life outside the game but, since we're here for a while...can you tell me more about you.

Kano: It's alright, I don't mind, but only if you tell me more about you as well.

She nods

Kano: Well, outside the game my real name is Kano Walton, I'm 18 and my family runs a multimillion dollar company that works around the world.

Zoya: Wait Really?!

Kano: *Chuckle* Yeah, my brother Koji is 2 years older than me and takes his looks after our mother. He's not that smart but after our parents death he took over the company and has been running it pretty well so far. I bet he'll like you.

Zoya: I think I'll like him to.

Kano: Outside the game I like to play instruments, sing, take martial art and kendo lessons.

Zoya: So that's why you're so good at fighting.

We both chuckle

Kano:Now that sums me up pretty good, now your turn.

Zoya: Alright, my real name is Zoya Weaver, I'm 18 and my parents also run a multimillion dollar company as well.

Kano: Your joking?!

Zoya: Nope, looks like we share that in common, I'm an only child and my interest are playing soccer, singing and reading.

Kano: Tell me about your parents, what are they like?

Zoya: My dad runs the company and has a great sense of humor, my mom is very strict and cares very much about our family image, that's why since I was little she has been trying to get me engaged to some dumb rich boys that I did even know or like.

Kano: Sounds rough. I'm sorry...

She shakes her head.

Zoya:No, it's ok, but I think if I introduce you to my parents, I think they'll accept our relationship.

Kano: That's good to hear.

I turn to look at her and she does the same.

Kano: *smirking* So Ms Zoya Weaver, what would you like to do today?

Zoya:*giggles* Well Mr Kano Walton, let's go groceries shopping because we ran out of food.

Kano: Alright, let's get changed.

I give her a kiss on the forehead and we both get up and head to the house.

Once we finish we head out of the house and walk to the teleport gate and head to the town of beginnings food market because the groceries were good and cheap.When we arrived at the town of beginnings we got a uneasy feeling remembering what happened that day.

Flashback

Kayaba:If your HP drops to zero, your avatar will be deleted from the system... forever.
And the NerveGear will simultaneously destroy your brain.

End Flashback

We both turned to look at one another and smiled remembering we had each other and walked off to the food market.

Zoya: Hey, if you don't mind where did you go after Kayaba appeared.

Kano: Let me remember...umm...Oh right, I went and bought the church over there so it could be a center where children could go if they were alone in the game. Many children suffered from mental trauma and I hired a staff of good people to help them deal with it.

Zoya: Really?! You did that?

I nodded

Zoya: WOW...I never knew...That was very sweet of you.

Kano: It was nothing...those kids deserved it.

I said as we heard and saw children playing outside the church having fun. Zoya grabbed onto my arm as we turned and headed to the food market.
