Zoya POV

As we finished our breakfast we went to the living room to decided what we were going to do today.

Zoya: Any ideas on what we are going to do today?

Kano: ...How about we go for a picnic on floor 47, the hill of memories.

Alice: I haven't been there before.

Zoya: That's a great idea! The entire floor is full of pretty flowers and most of the monsters spawn outside the safe area, so we'll be fine.

Alice: Wow! The entire floor is covered with flowers, then let's go.

Kano: Should we invite the gang?

Zoya: Sure! Alice, do you want to help me make the lunch?

Alice: Ok Mommy!

After an hour we arrived at the hill of memories and were greeted by a nice breeze.

Alice: WOW! You were right, it's so pretty here!

Once we set up the picnic, it didn't take long until Sato, Izumi, and Shiori showed up.

Sato: Hey guys, hows it hanging.

They all noticed Alice that was hiding behind Kano holding her teddy bear tightly and were confused.

Shiori: Who's your new friend?

Kano:*whispers* It's ok Alice, these are our friends, they like family to us.

Alice shyly moves and sits on my lap.

Kano: Guys, I want you to meet Alice, our new daughter.

Sato/Izumi/Shiori: What?!

Zoya: We saved her from a group of player killers on the first floor, we decided to take care of her.

Alice hugs me, hiding her face in my chest.
Izumi slowly walks up and sits next to Alice.

Izumi: Hi Alice, my name is Izumi, it's very nice to meet you.

Alice shyly waves at her somewhat revealing her face.

Sato and Shiori walk up and sit next to her.

Sato: Hey Alice, my name is Sato, and this is Shiori.

Shiori: Hi, nice to meet you.

Alice: Are you to a couple?

Shiori:W-What?! Us...No...N-Never in a million years!

We all chuckle at Shiori's reaction

Izumi: Hey, do you like music Alice?

Alice nods, Izumi pulls out her Ukulele and puts her hand out towards Alice. Alice looks towards me as if she was asking if it was Ok, and I give her a nod.
Alice slowly gives her hand and goes with Izumi.

Izumi: Do you like to sing Alice?

Alice nods her head shyly.

Kano POV
Shiori: Did you know you Daddy like to sing too, he's great at it.

Alice looks at me surprised and I get a little embarrassed.

Izumi starts playing her ukulele and sings. Her song mesmerizes Alice, breaking her shell of shyness.

Once she finishes singing we all applaud, especially Alice.
Alice: WOW! Your really good!

Zoya: Alright, how about we eat the lunches we made.

The pass around the sandwiches and talked about normal stuff.

Sato: These are really great, nice job Zoya.

Zoya: Well, Alice helped a lot too.

Shiori: Good Job Alice!

After a long day of eating sandwiches, playing hide and seek, and tag, we decided it was getting dark and head home.

Shiroi: Today was fun, hope we get to play again soon.

Izumi: Maybe next you can sing for us. *smile*

Alice: Sure!

Sato: You are always welcomed to hang out at the Iceberg Lounge.

Alice: Thanks uncle Sato

I could tell by Sato's face his heart was clenched.

Zoya, Alice and I were sitting on our rocking couch on our porch at home watching the sunsetting with Alice in the middle of us.

Alice: Hey Daddy.

Kano: Yeah Alice

Alice: Can you sing me a song so I can go to sleep.

I chuckled and opened my menu pulling out a music bottle.

I played it and started singing. By when the song was finished, Alice was asleep.

I got up and carried Alice to her bed while she was holding her bear tightly and went back outside to Zoya. I could tell by her face she was think about something that made her sad.

Kano: What ya thinking about.

Zoya: Alice...what will happen to her once she gets out.

Kano: Well, she'll... go back to the orphanage.

I said realizing that she be alone again after all of this.

Zoya: *tearing up* I ...don't want her to be alone. I want her to be with us once we get out. I-I just... don't know what to do.

She began crying and I hugged her letting her cry on my shoulder. And then it just hit me.

Kano: Hey... it's going to be ok... I think I have an idea.

She stopped crying and looked at me wiping away her tears.

Zoya: ... You do?

Kano: How about we adopt Alice in the real world, I mean we are old enough to do that, so why not do it. We don't have to say goodbye to her, she could live in my house and she'll never be alone.

Zoya's face light up with happiness and hugged me tight.

Zoya: You would really do that?

Kano: Of course, I would do anything to make you both happy.

Zoya looked at me and pulled me into a passionate kiss. Once we stopped, Zoya gently put her forehead on mine.

Zoya: But that would have to be Alice's decision. It can't be ours.

Kano: I know, we'll tell her when the time is right. But for now let's make lots of memories.

We both looked at each other and smiled.

Zoya:Yeah lets do that.

And we sat back happily in one another's arms as we watched the full moon shine on Aincrad fulling the darkness with light.
