A/n: Since I did not fully use the football tryouts drama in my last book, I am going to use it here.
.
After having that talk with Mike and Daniel, Y/n felt more lost. It was like she just did not know what to do.
And during being lost, she did not notice the way Daniel and Mike talked, she did not catch the tension. Even if she did, she would just shrug it away.
.
Y/n lazily walked towards the front door of her house. She did not feel like explaining her first day to her mother or father and she knew they would ask her.
What would she say to them? '' Oh, yes. My first day as a freshman went real good without any drama. Johnny did not talk or irritate me, he did not fight with my new friend. But guess what, your daughter is not drama proof so yeah, this shit totally happened today and I am happy about it oh and I passed out. Yup, that sums it all up.''
She groaned as she imagined the conversation in her head. She did not want to talk with anyone so she quietly went in and straight went to her room to get some sleep.
She knew her mother did come to check on her but she did not disturb her since she knew Y/n was tired.
It was just kind of obvious at this point.
.
The next day, Y/n did not wake up with a good mood.
No new day motivation, no new nothing.
She just knew, she had to go there for the sake of her attendance and of course....her studies.
A/n: Me summing up my college life.
With a sarcastic smile she told herself-
''You can do it Y/n, bitch you have to.''
.
Upon arriving the college, she noticed some commotion in the football field. She noticed students there warming up, freshers and other seniors, but mostly seniors.
''Good Morning, Y/n.''
Daniel.
Without turning around, Y/n waved her hand, though she was still looking at the field. Daniel knew she was waving at him although her back faced him.
She suddenly turned around with a questioning look on her face.
''Danny, why do I sense that these are football tryouts?'' She asked.
''Yes. And I am thinking of going in.''
''You do realize what happened last time, right?'' She scoffed.
''That was highschool, Y/n. This is different. Besides, I want to play football. I have heard it is sort of a mixed team, you know freshers and seniors, it sounds fun.'' He shrugged.
''Yeah...fun.'' She said and turned her attention back towards the field and then noticed a familiar person.
Mike.
''Is that Mike?'' She asked.
Daniel followed her gaze and nodded.
''He is on the football team already. He told me he loved it and he is the reason I am thinking of giving it a try. I had a talk with him this morning. He is sort of recruiting them. Picking players for his team based on their skills.'' He explained.
''Wow. That's a lot to take in but I respect your wish and I think you should go for it. And I believe you will get picked.'' She smiled.
''Yea sur- oh fuck me.'' He shook his head.
'' Why what happe- oh god.'' Y/n said as she followed Daniel's gaze and noticed Johnny and Dutch on the field.
'' Where are the other three?'' Daniel asked.
'' I don't knowwwww.'' She trailed off as she looked around and suddenly her eyes fell on the other three douchebags.
''I don't think they are trying. They are sitting at the sidelines.'' She gestured towards the benches.
''Three problems less I guess.'' Daniel nervously laughed.
'' I think you should go now. Best of luck, Daniel.''
''You are not staying here?'' He asked.
''Why should I?'' She asked.
''Excuse me? What do you mean? You are my best friend and you are going to cheer for me.'' He protested.
''Daniel, I don't think I should be anywhere near where Johnny is.'' She sighed.
''He is not going to eat you. Besides, he won't say anything to you, not in front of these many people.''
''Y/n!''
Another voice came in from behind.
Heather.
As much as Y/n wanted to like that girl, she did not.
She did not like the effect Heather had on Johnny.
''Heather, hey.'' Y/n smiled.
''I will catch you later. Please show up.'' Daniel patted her on the shoulder and left.
''So how was your first day?'' Heather asked.
''Yeah...it was pretty much dramatic.''
''I heard.''
Wait.
''Heard...what?'' Y/n asked.
''You passed out.''
''Oh. I mean yes. You know...first day nerves nothing else. What else did you hear?'' Y/n asked.
''Nothing. Why? Is there more?'' Heather asked.
''No.'' Y/n quickly shook her head.
''Anyways, you want to go sit on the bench and watch the tryouts? It is always fun to watch them. Last year, when I was a fresher I watched the tryouts and then the match. It was so entertaining. And, Johnny asked me to come and cheer for him today so I want to go.''
''Wait...Johnny asked you to come?'' Y/n asked and was surprised by that.
''Yes. Why?''
''Nothing. Mike asked me to come up too so I guess I will go with you.'' Y/n smiled.
Lie.
No one asked her to come. She wanted to understand what the fuck was going on. Not like it was her business but she just could not find herself away from all of this.
She was too busy thinking that she did not notice the sudden change in Heather's face.
''Alright...I guess. Let's go then.'' Heather weakly smiled and she led the way towards the benches.
Y/n almost forgot that the remaining three psychos were still sitting there.
'' Oh look, it's the boss lady!'' Tommy laughed.
Y/n just ignored him.
"Boss lady my ass." She muttered under her breath.
''Hey Heather. I see you showed up. Johnny will be happy to see you.'' He continued.
'' Yes, I had to. He asked...so nicely.'' She answered.
So nicely? Like what?
"Oh yeaahhhh, nicely." Jimmy laughed and high fived the other two.
Both of them girls went red, one with irritation and the other with embarassment.
"So, Y/n, why are you here?" Bobby asked.
"Why? Can't I be here? It's not like you own the place, Bobby." Y/n scoffed.
"Still got that sass, huh?" He asked.
"It never left." She smirked.
"Interesting." Was all he said and then he went quiet but Y/n could tell he was thinking something.
Earlier, Y/n always thought that Bobby was the brains of their gang but she was wrong. How could she just forget that he is their friend and obviously he was like them too.
"That's a pretty stupid question,Bobby. Girl got two guys on the field." Jimmy smirked.
"Huh?" Bobby asked.
"Danny boy and Mike Barnes." Jimmy answered.
"Oh ho. Bingo! You are right. So fucking right. Y/n's best friend or maybe secret boyfriend and! Y/n's new friend or that too secret boyfriend are both on the field!" Tommy laughed.
That was it. She couldn't take it anymore.
"What the fuck is your problem you douchebag? Why do you think that you can say whatever the fuck you want and no one will ask or say you anything?" Y/n asked as she looked him dead in the eye.
Bobby chuckled while Tommy looked taken aback.
.
"Hey...I think something's going on." Dutch nudged Johnny who was warming up.
He stopped his exercise and looked in the direction Dutch was pointing to.
"Looks like Y/n is being angry at Tommy." Dutch explained.
" If she is angry and found it reasonable enough to shout at him, it means he said something stupid which offended her." Johnny sighed.
"But why is she even sitting there?" Johnny asked but more to himself.
He looked around and found two reasons.
"Of course for them." He scoffed as he looked towards Daniel and Mike who looked like they were talking about the sport.
"I don't really like that Barnes guy, man." Dutch said.
"It's not like I admire him. I hate that son of a bitch. He is always around her." Johnny sighed.
"Look at the bright side. Heather is there to watch you." Dutch laughed.
"So?" Johnny raised an eyebrow.
"Soooo....I don't know. Oh wait, the excitement from Heather is gone now that Y/n is there. Am I right?" Dutch smirked.
"Shut up. If you understand me then maybe you can understand why I am doing this."
"I do man, I really do. But it's going to be fun." Dutch smirked.
"Of course it will be fun. Nothing's boring when the cobra's are around." Johnny smirked.
Their attention was caught back when they both heard Y/n's voice again.
"I am not here to listen to your stupid taunts, ok!? Why don't you focus on your miserable life!?"
"Well, damn. She is getting more agressive." Dutch laughed.
" Good. She should be. I like it when she is all angry." Johnny smirked.
"Dude?" Dutch raised an eyebrow.
"What? I can say whatever I want." Johnny shrugged and went back to his exercises.
"Man, I don't know why but this shit is going to get complicated. It's never good when we are around along with Y/n and that stupid Larusso." Dutch told himself.
.
"Why the fuck are you getting so angry!?" Tommy asked.
"What!? Are you dumb? You literally - nevermind. You are right. Why am I even getting angry and wasting my energy on someone as stupid as you!?" She scoffed.
"Y/n, I think you should stop." Heather whispered.
"You don't know the shit they put me through in high school and I won't let them do this again here in college." She sharply answered Heather and Heather decided to hold back, because she knew Y/n was right. She doesn't know about their past.
"Hey man, you got some popcorn?" Jimmy whispered to Bobby.
Bobby shot him a look.
"Nice attempt, buddy. But you are not funny." Bobby sarcastically smiled at Jimmy.
"Alright. Fine, I won't say anything to you and will let you enjoy the tryouts." Tommy raised his hands in mock surrender.
"It's not like I needed your permission for that but fine." She scoffed and turned her attention back on the field.
.
"Alright, Daniel-" Mike started and his gaze fell on Y/n and a smile automatically formed on his lips but it fell when his eyes fell on the girl sitting next to her.
Heather.
"Fuck." He muttered.
"Excuse me?" Daniel asked.
"No-nothing. As I was saying, I will try my best to have you on the same team as me and I will try me best to have those two stupids not on my team. It's possible that if you pass the tryouts, you might end on their side or worse than we all end up on the same side."
"No. No. I don't want that. I just don't want those two on our team. You can call the shots on it, right?" Daniel asked.
"No. It's coach's decision." Mike sighed.
"Aww man. I am getting a bad feeling."
Literally, everyone was getting a bad feeling at that moment.
Y/n was feeling bad seeing Mike and Daniel on the same field with Johnny and Dutch and from her earlier argument.
Tommy was feeling bad after getting called out.
Bobby was somehow feeling bad that Y/n now thought bad about him and he knew why.
Heather was feeling bad seeing Mike.
Johnny was feeling bad that Y/n was there to watch Barnes and not him.
Mike was feeling bad that Heather was there.
Daniel was already having a bad feeling about the whole football team situation.
Jimmy felt bad after he got a rude response from Bobby.
And Dutch? He was feeling bad about everything.
Question was-
What would happen next?
A/n: I feel sorry for Jimmy only haha.
