"Oh, Nik these roses are lovely" young Alora giggled.

"I only got them because I knew they were your favorite" young Niklaus smiled.

"Thanks" She smiled back.

"You're welcome" he replied.

"Come on, Nik" young Alora said, running towards the woods. That was their favorite place to play because they usually alone and Niklaus's father Mikael wasn't there.

"Okay" young Niklaus replied, running after her.

They kept running until they reached their favorite spot in the woods and Nik tackle hugged her. They set there laughing until Nik stopped and looked at her.

"What?" She said, referring to Nik looking at her.

"You have leaves in your hair. Here." YoungNik said, taking the leaves of her hair.

"Thanks, Nik you are such a gentleman" young Alora replied, smiling, "Why did you stay friends with me as we grew old enough to talk?Is it because our mothers are somewhat friends or because I'm half wolf" she asked, looking down.

He looked her in the eye "Deya, I don't like you because of what you are or our mothers." He smiled, "I like you because you are brave, adventurous, smart, optimistic, and pretty. Really really pretty."

She looked away from him, then back, "You know you didn't have to call me Deya"

"I did so you would know that what said is true" he smiled.

She looked him in his eye and started to smile, "You think I'm pretty"

"I know that you are pretty" young Nik replied. They hugged for a very long time until she broke it.

"You know, it is a full moon tonight" young Nik said.

"Yea" young Alora replied, looking away from him.

"Did you ever tell your mom how you activated your wolf side?" Young Nik asked.

"I honestly don't think I can tell her Nik, I broke our family" young Alora replied.

Niklaus could feel that she didn't want yo talk about that so he changed the subject, "When you turn how does feel. Does it hurt?"

"Every bone on my body brakes, it hurts very badly, but not like the first time it happened at least I had, Ansel to help me through it" young Alora said.

"Ansel? He is the leader of the north east Atlantic pack right? Are you apart of that pack?" Young Nik asked.

"Yes Ansel is the leader of that pack, he helps me a lot with my wolf instincts. But I am not apart of the pack, I don't know what pack I am from." She said, sadly.

"Well that is very nice of him to help you" young Nik responded.

Alora an advantage and took it "Yea he has a son that is about our age, and he looks really nice" she smiled.

"What are you smiling for Alora?" Young Nik asked, a little bitterly.

"No need to be bitter Nik." She laughed, until she saw something around his neck. She touched it, "Who made this for you."

"My mother" he answered.

"Oh," she replied. "Nik, let's play a game"

"What game?" He asked.

"Uh, let's play knights" she smiled.

"Okay, but first I have a gift for you" Nik pulled out a wooden dagger with her name on it with many drops of blue paint on it.

"You carved this Nik?" Alora asked.

He shook his head yes, he presented Alora with a wooden dagger adorned with her nameβ€”a heartfelt token of his affection and craftsmanship.

She smiled, "Thanks" Grateful, Alora thanked him, cherishing the gift that symbolized their unbreakable bond.

After that Alora and Niklaus stayed in the woods for about 2 hours playing knights, as their game progressed, their laughter echoed through the woods until the arrival of Elijah disrupted their play.

"NIKLAUS, WHERE ARE YOU?" Young Elijah yelled.

Niklaus and Alora dropped the wooden swords and ran towards Elijah's voice.

"I am right here brother" Young Niklaus replied.

"Mother said supper is ready" Young Elijah replied.

"Hello, Elijah" Young Alora greeted.

Elijah looked at her, "Hello, Alora"

All three walked back towards the village Nik and Alora both said goodbye and went home.
