Hello hello everyone for the last time in this book,

With loads of blood, sweat and tears regarding my obviously genius writing, I have finally finished Bellicose. This book has been in the works for nearly two years and I can honestly say I'm so proud of the end result.

This is by far the best book I've ever written and I got to experiment with new concepts and characters and weave it together into one (hopefully) coherent story. I still thoroughly enjoy reading through the chapters I've written last March, which I definitely can't say about other books of mine.

With the ending of this book, comes the end to my apply fic era. Getting to work with characters that have been created by dear friends of mine has been so much fun and challenging in a way. During the writing process of each apply fic of mine, I've learnt so much about writing in general. It still boggles my mind the way I've written my first apply fic about two and a half years ago, and how much I could see the improvement with each story.

Thank you so much to all of my friends who have applied over the years. I am grateful that all of you have taken the time to fill in a whole form and support my writing. For this particular apply fic, I wanted to thank each and everyone of you individually.

𝑅𝐼𝐴𝑁𝑁𝐸
It probably comes as no surprise that I mention you first and foremost lol. We've known each other since February 6th 2021—a date we both keep losing track of until it's a few days later—and you've been there since my second apply fic. I can still so vividly remember the excitement I felt when I saw your username pop up in my notifications. It feels odd thinking back to that time, when I was merely a full-on fangirl of your work as an author. On my one-year Wattpad anniversary of this account, I published The Forsaken, and you were one of the first to apply. You've given me Helios Chakan, Darkan Evander, Alexis Kingsley and Raiden of Anvard, and I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each and every character.

Your support has meant the world to me throughout every apply fic you've been in, both on and off Wattpad. A day not talking to you is automatically more dull, but it is truly great to know that whenever I talk to you, things are always okay. We are almost always on one wavelength and it's refreshing to be able to admit my own faults and shortcomings, and have someone on the other side completely understand me.

You somehow saw potential in my early writings of The Forsaken, even when to this day, I don't see it myself. You've been my number one supporter pretty much from the day I met you, and your positive energy is hopefully something you'll never lose. You are so strong and hardworking, and I am already so proud of everything you're doing in life. You may have a knack for writing, but I also know that you work your butt off writing the beautiful paragraphs that I will forever reread to gather inspiration.

In this essay, I will—

I'm obviously kidding, but seriously, I could talk for hours about how you've inspired me time and time again, how your support has been one of the reasons I've managed three times to finish a book, and how your friendship is one of my most valuable relationships I have. Thank you.

The incredible creator of Chrysanthemum Rosealba, one of my Bellicose babies. I never had to wait long for your username to pop up whenever I'd uploaded a new chapter. It came to the point where if you didn't read it the day I'd posted it, I'd notice. You have been nothing but lovely throughout this entire book and I'm really grateful for your presence both in this book and in the private messages.

The way you'd hype up my new uploads always brought such a big smile to my face. You were truly excited about the prospect of another chapter, and while Chrys was underrated because I had so many characters to work with, you never ever complained about it. You cheered for every character and put them in their place in the comments if they did something bad. This book would have not been the same without Chrys, I truly love her so much and I'm going to miss her terribly.

Thank you for applying and supporting this book in so many ways. You and Chrys have both been an absolute delight!

Hi sweetie, I hope you're feeling better. I know you've had a turbulent time behind you, but despite that, you were still in my notifications supporting the heck out of this book. You are so sweet and so strong, and I hope you know that too.

Aiden was a new challenge for me that I wanted to embrace with both arms. I'm sorry I killed him off, but I hope in the time that he was with us, I didn't disappoint the way I portrayed him. It was fun diving into someone's flaws and finding out how someone could redeem themselves, even without the fairytale ending.

Your support both on and off this book has been so sweet, and even when I struggle with something, you're right in my private messages making sure I am alright. Thank you for being you.

Kaninikaaa, I think of all the people in this apply fic, I've known you the longest. I think we've known each other for three years already and I was mega excited when I saw you'd applied. You read and commented on Torn Dimension, even though you weren't featured in it. You supported it so much more than most people who had a character featured and I adore you for that.

You are so smart, clever and witty and you're one of my favourite people on this app. Thank you so much for taking the time to apply and support my work, I loved that you gave me Charlotte to work with.

Dear Liana, I have no idea where you are or how you've been lately. I hope you're doing well and you're prosperous in life. I'm still waiting for a new update on your podcast lol, that first episode was so much fun to listen to.

All jokes aside, you've given me Cordelia Ondine and Florence Rhodes, both of which have been lovely additions to Torn Dimension and Bellicose. I had such a grand vision for Florence in this book and I really hope I've done her justice. I'm excited for you to read the last ten or so chapters of Bellicose, so I can talk your ears off about how I loved Florence and the storyline I'd come up with for her.

You were one of the best applicants of Torn Dimension, always on time and leaving behind a vast amount of comments. You, Cordelia and Florence have been a big part of my motivation to keep on writing. Thank you.

Hello hello Jocelyn, we haven't talked in a while and I know this school year has put a lot of stress on you, so I hope you've found the time to stop for a moment and take the well-deserved rest that you earned. You joined us a little later than the rest as you graciously filled up the space of another applicant, and Erin couldn't have been a better addition to the story. She was so fun, strong and flirtatious—though I have to admit that my awkward self isn't good with fliratious dialogue/descriptions lol, hope you didn't mind. You gave me one of the longest and most detailed forms, which was so fun to incorporate. I love small details that make a character unique and your form was filled to the brim with it.

Your comments always brought a smile to my face and I hope you can find the time to finish this book in your own time. Thank you for showing immediate interest when I asked around for a new applicant, you were so quick with messaging me you wanted to join, it truly overjoyed me.

I'm so proud of how much effort you've put into school and for the message you've sent me about how happy a little part regarding your character made you. It's always nice to receive appreciation outside of the book. Give your pupper a big hug from me and thank you.

Hi Morrow, how are you? You've kind of disappeared on me, which truly saddens me because I thoroughly enjoyed talking to you. I hope you too find the time to finish this book in your own time and I wish you all the best.

You've given me Kieran Fuilech and Kiano Azarios, and such a new challenge. Your characters were wittily crafted and I always tried my best to match the level of your craft to what I produced. I still sometimes stare at the beautiful art you've made for Torn Dimension, which was one of the kindest gestures I've ever gotten. Seeing how invested you were in that story still makes me super happy. Thank you.

And lastly to everyone who wasn't an applicant and read this book from start to finish; thank you so, so much. The fact that this book has close to 15K reads is still mind-blowing to me. None of my other apply fics have even come close to that number, so whether you've read, voted or commented, I wholeheartedly appreciate every single one of you.

Hogwarts, The Forsaken, Torn Dimension, Bellicose. Not every book may still be on my page, but I did write those stories from start to finish, no matter how hard it was at times. I will miss the excitement of seeing applications stream in from friends and strangers, but it'll definitely be nice to not have to worry anymore about applicants not communicating with me and/or disappearing. Nor will my mind ever go back to "I have to give this character lines/a moment or their creator might be disappointed". There will be no more characters from people who I end up never speaking to again.

There's such a weight off my shoulders and I'm glad I don't end this era on a sour note for my own sake. Writing apply fics truly gives you perspective. After writing four apply fics in the span of 2.5 years-ish, I can contently close this chapter. With much pride and extreme excitement, I can finally press that "completed" button!
