"You don't exactly look like a teenager," Jovi said, her voice calm despite the way her pulse hammered in her ears. She shifted her weight, standing taller, her fight-or-flight instincts screaming for her to be ready.
The woman's lips curved into a faint smile. "You must be Jovi Winchester," she said, her voice smooth and lilting, yet laced with something sharp and dangerous.
Jovi's green eyes narrowed, her grip on her bag tightening. "Who's asking?"
The woman tilted her head slightly, her gaze unwavering. "I can see the resemblance. You look so much like your father."
At the mention of her dad, Jovi felt a flicker of anger beneath her unease. Her jaw tightened as her green eyes involuntarily flickered to sapphire-blue, the power within her sparking to life like a warning shot. She hated how much control it had over her, how it surged without her permission.
"And who the hell are you?" she demanded, her tone sharper now, standing her ground despite the growing unease gnawing at her.
The woman stepped closer, her heels clicking softly against the floor. The sound echoed unnaturally in the empty corridor, each step sending a chill down Jovi's spine.
"Someone your father has been hiding you from," the woman replied, a trace of amusement in her voice. "I'm curious about you, Jovi. You're... intriguing."
Jovi's stomach twisted. She hated the way this woman spoke, as though she were some puzzle to be solved."Yeah, well, last person who said that broke my heart, so think I'll pass on being intriguing, thanks."
The woman stepped closer, her heels clicking softly against the floor. The sound echoed unnaturally in the empty corridor, sending a shiver down Jovi's spine."Oh, I like your fire. It will make things far more interesting when the time comes."
"What time?" Jovi demanded, her voice rising slightly. "What are you even talking about?"
The woman didn't answer right away. Instead, her dark eyes seemed to rove over Jovi, studying her intently. When she finally spoke, her words sent a chill through Jovi's entire body.
The power in you... it's raw, untamed. A legacy you don't even fully understand yet. You're next in line, aren't you? The Sapphire Witch."
The title hit Jovi like a slap, and her breath caught in her throat. She tried to mask the jolt of fear that rippled through her as she snapped, "I don't know what you're talking about."
The woman chuckled softly, the sound low and dangerous. "Oh, I think you do. Whether you want to admit it or not, it's in your blood. The Sapphire Witch has always been destined to destroy."
Jovi's stomach churned violently, her fists clenching at her sides. "What are you talking about? Destroy what?"
"Everything," the woman said simply, her voice calm and matter-of-fact, as though she were discussing the weather. "The Sapphire Witch isn't just a title, Jovi. It's a curse. A lineage of destruction passed down for centuries. Every chosen Sapphire Witch has the same destinyโto bring about the end of the world."
Jovi's vision blurred for a moment as the weight of the words slammed into her. The ground beneath her seemed to tilt, her breath coming in shallow gasps. "You're lying," she said, her voice trembling despite the steel she tried to inject into it.
The woman tilted her head, her expression unreadable. "Am I? Do you think your father kept all those secrets from you because he trusts you with this power? No, Jovi. He knows what you're capable of. What you're meant for."
"Shut up," Jovi snapped, the words bursting out of her as her emotions surged. Her hands balled into fists at her sides, her nails digging into her palms.
Amara smiled faintly, as though Jovi's reaction amused her. "Careful now, you wouldn't want to accidentally blow this place to hell"
Jovi's eyes blazed brighter, warning her to back off. "If you think I'm just going to roll over and let you mess with me, you've got another thing coming. I don't care what you think I'm destined forโI'm not destroying anything."
Amara studied her for a long moment, a flicker of something dark and knowing passing through her gaze. Then she stepped back, the shadows seeming to ripple around her as she said, "We'll see, Jovi. But remember thisโI'm watching you."
And with that, she vanished into the shadows, leaving Jovi alone in the hallway.
The air lightened instantly, but Jovi's chest still heaved with the force of her emotions. Her heart pounded as she stared at the spot where the woman had stood, the weight of her words pressing heavily on her.
The Sapphire Witch. Destined to destroy the world.
Her stomach twisted violently, bile rising in her throat as she tried to process the weight of what she'd just learned. For the first time in her life, Jovi felt truly afraid โ not just of the woman, or the ominous words, but of herself.
What if it was true? What if she really was destined to destroy everything she cared about?
No. She couldn't let herself go there. She wouldn't let herself believe it.
But deep down, the fear lingered, curling in her chest like smoke, suffocating and impossible to ignore.

๐ป๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐ stepped outside, the cool breeze hit her like a wake-up call, but it did little to steady the storm brewing inside her. Her hands shook as she gripped her phone, scrolling to her dad's number. She paused, her thumb hovering over the screen. Every word Amara had spoken echoed in her head, haunting her like a bad dream she couldn't wake from.
What if he doesn't believe me? What if he thinks I'm losing it?
The thought made her hesitate. Dean Winchester wasn't the coddling type, but he wasn't dismissive either. He'd faced more than most people ever would โ monsters, demons, even gods. If anyone could help her navigate this, it was him. But what if this was the one time he looked at her like she was broken?
She took a shaky breath, trying to push the doubt aside. No. He always believed in her. Always. He'd believe her now. He had to.
Jovi pressed the call button, bringing the phone to her ear as her boots crunched against the gravel of the school's parking lot. It rang twice before his gruff, familiar voice answered.
"Jovi? You okay?" Dean's tone was instantly alert, his dad instincts kicking in.
Hearing him only made the tightness in her chest worse. She hadn't realised how much she needed him to answer until that moment. "Dad..." Her voice cracked, and she winced at how shaky it sounded. "IโI need to talk to you."
"What happened?" The worry in his voice deepened, and she could picture him already pacing wherever he was. "Are you hurt? Where are you?"
"I'm fine," Jovi said quickly, though her voice still wavered. "I'm at school, but... something happened. Someone paid me a visit."
The silence on the other end of the line was heavy, weighted with unspoken concern. She could feel his tension, even through the phone. "Who?" he asked tightly.
She swallowed hard, leaning against a railing for support. "Amara."
Dean's sharp intake of breath hit her like a punch. She could hear the shift in his tone immediately โ anger, fear, and something else she couldn't quite place. "Amara?" he repeated, his voice a dangerous growl. "What did she want? Are you sure it was her?"
"Yeah, it was her," Jovi confirmed. "She knew who I wasโlike, exactly who I was. She said I look like you." Her voice dropped, tinged with frustration. "She also said you've been hiding me from herโwhich is a little dramatic in all honesty"
"Joviโ" Dean started, but she cut him off.
"She also knew about my powers, Dad. And... she called me the Sapphire Witch which sounds like it belongs in some cheap comic book." The words felt like acid on her tongue. "She said I'm next in line, whatever that means. And that it's my destiny to have some kind of villain arc and, oh yeah, destroy the world. Like that's just a normal Tuesday for her or something."
Dean swore under his breath, and she could hear him movingโkeys jangling, his footsteps heavy. "Jovi, listen to me. You're not going to destroy anything, you hear me? Amara's messing with your head. That's what she does. Don't let her get to you."
"But what if she's right?" Jovi's voice broke, her emotions spilling out. "What if... what if this is what I'm meant to be? To destroy everything? She made it sound like you already knew, like this is why you've been so overprotective."
She couldn't stop the memories from flooding in โ every time Dean had warned her to keep her emotions in check, every time he'd been reluctant to let her go out on a hunt. She'd thought it was because he didn't trust the world, but now... now she wasn't so sure. And that was the memories she remembered...
Dean's tone softened, but the intensity in his words didn't waver. "Jovi, I don't care what she said. You're my daughter. You're good, and you're strong, and I trust you. Whatever power you've got, it doesn't define you."
Jovi blinked back the sting of tears, but the knot in her chest didn't ease. "Dad, I don't know if I can handle this. She said she's watching me. What if she's waiting for me to screw up?"
"She's not going to get the chance," Dean said firmly. "I'll be there in as soon as I can. Don't move, don't talk to anyoneโjust stay where you are. We'll figure this out together, okay?"
"Okay," Jovi whispered, her voice small but resolute.
The call ended, and Jovi lowered the phone from her ear, staring at the blank screen. She'd been hoping for answers, for some sort of instant relief, but all she felt was the weight of her dad's words settling in her chest.
You're my daughter. You're good, and you're strong.
Her hands curled into fists at her sides, nails digging into her palms. She wanted to believe him โ she really didโ but Amara's words had burrowed under her skin, planting seeds of doubt she couldn't shake.
What if this power wasn't something she could control? What if it was something darker, something destined to consume her? The thought sent a fresh wave of nausea through her.
Jovi tilting her head up to the sky. The cool air brushed against her face, a sharp contrast to the heat of her fear.
Whatever this was, she wasn't going to let it win.
But as she stared into the distance, her fists trembling at her sides, she couldn't shake the gnawing fear that maybe โ just maybe โ it wasn't up to her.

๐ฑ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ the dining table in Jody's kitchen, her fingers nervously tracing the rim of her coffee mug. The hum of the fridge was the only sound in the room, underscoring the heavy silence. Across from her, Dean and Sam listened intently, their expressions a mix of concern and concentration. The tension was suffocating as Jovi recounted her encounter with Amara, her voice steady, but laced with an edge of disbelief.
"She was just... there," Jovi said, her voice wavering slightly. "One second I was walking down the hall at school, and the next, it felt like the air shifted. Then she appeared." She paused, glancing at her dad, searching his face for some semblance of reassurance. Instead, she found his jaw tightening, the muscle twitching as his hand curled into a fist on the table. It was the reaction she expected, but it didn't make it any easier. "She told me I look like you, Dad. Then she said she was curious about me because you've been keeping me away from her."
Dean's jaw tightened, his hand curling into a fist on the table. "Damn right I've been keeping you away from her. She's dangerous, Jovi."
"I know that," Jovi replied, her green eyes flashing briefly with frustration. "But it's not like I invited her to show up. She said she's been... watching me."
Sam, who had been silent until now, leaned forward, his brow furrowed in thought. "Did she say why? Did she mention what she wants from you?"
Jovi hesitated, her gaze dropping to the mug in her hands. "She said she could sense my power. That I'm the next in line for the sapphire witch title." Her voice softened. "And she told me about the prophecyโthe one about the sapphire witch being destined to destroy the world."
The room fell silent, the weight of her words pressing down on all of them. Dean exchanged a look with Sam, his mouth set in a grim line.
She's messing with your head, Jo," Dean said after a tense moment, his tone sharp but edged with a father's concern. "Amara's good at that. She gets into your head, makes you second-guess yourself. She wants you scared, confused. That's how she gets control."
Jovi shook her head. "It didn't feel like a mind game, Dad. She was calm, almost... curious. But she made it clear she's keeping an eye on me."
Dean leaned back, running a hand down his face as he muttered something under his breath that sounded like a curse. When he finally looked at her again, his eyes were filled with a mixture of anger and fear. "I don't like this. If she's got her sights on you, you're not staying here with Jody. It's too risky."
"What?" Jovi's eyes widened, her body stiffening as she sat up straighter. "Dad, no. I have a life here. School, cheer, my friendsโ"
"And all of that won't mean a damn thing if Amara decides to make a move," Dean interrupted, his voice rising slightly as his frustration bled through. "I'm not taking any chances. You're coming back to the bunker. At least until we figure out what the hell she's up to."
Jovi leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms tightly over her chest. She felt the sharp sting of betrayal, though she knew deep down it wasn't fair to see it that way. "This isn't fair. I've worked so hard to build something normal here, and now you're telling me to just leave it behind?"
Sam spoke up before Dean could respond, his voice softer but no less serious. "Jovi, we get it. You've built a good life here, and it's not an easy thing to walk away from. But Amara's not just some random threat. She's a celestial being. One of the most powerful beings in existence. If she's interested in you, it's not something we can take lightly. You need to be somewhere safe."
Safe. The word felt hollow. Jovi knew what it meant to them, but to her, it felt more like a cage. She hated the idea of running, of being locked away while they worked to protect her. But the truth was, the thought of Amara's eyes on her โ always watching โ was a weight she didn't know how to bear.
She sighed, her shoulders sagging slightly as the fight drained out of her. "Fine," she said reluctantly, her voice heavy with resignation. "I'll come back to the bunker. But this doesn't mean I'm giving up my life here for good."
Dean nodded, relief flickering across his face, though his features remained tense. "It's not permanent, kid. Just until we figure out what's going on."
Jovi pushed back her chair, standing abruptly. The scrape of the legs against the floor seemed to echo louder than it should have. "I'll go pack my things, I guess..." she muttered, not waiting for a response as she turned and headed toward her room.
Dean watched her go, his heart sinking. Every step she took away from the table felt like another reminder of how much he hated doing this to her โhow much he hated uprooting her again. But he couldn't shake the gnawing fear that Amara's interest in Jovi was just the beginning.
Sam glanced at him, his expression thoughtful but worried. "You think she's targeting Jovi because of her powers?"
Dean let out a heavy sigh, leaning back in his chair. "I don't know, Sammy. But if Amara's curious about her, it can't be good. And I'll be damned if I let her get her hands on my kid."
Sam nodded, but neither of them spoke again. The tension in the room lingered, thick and oppressive, as both brothers wrestled with the knowledge that whatever was coming, it was bigger than any of them could see right now. And Jovi was at the centre of it.

๐ฑ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ the middle of Jody's living room, her hands nervously clasped together as she glanced at the four people sitting before her. Kat, Ares, Alex, and Claire were a mix of confused and curious, waiting for her to speak. She took a deep breath, trying to find the right words.
"I'm leaving," she said softly, her voice barely louder than a whisper. The words felt bitter as they left her lips, sharp and wrong. "At least for now."
The silence that followed was broken by Kat's loud gasp. "What? No! You can't just leave me!" She jumped to her feet, her hands on her hips. "How am I supposed to survive school without you? Who's going to stop me from humiliating myself in front of Aria?"
A faint smile tugged at Jovi's lips despite the heaviness in her chest. "Kat, it's not forever. I'll be back as soon as it's safe. And honestly, Arias has started being nice to you. I think you've got this under control."
"Nice? Barely!" Kat shot back, though the hint of a smile betrayed her stubborn denial. "She's only tolerable because she knows you're my best friend. If you're not here, she's going to eat me alive!"
Jovi stepped forward, wrapping her arms around Kat in a tight hug. "She won't. You're stronger than you think, and I'm not disappearing forever, okay? We'll text, call, and I'll visit when I can."
Kat clung to her, her voice breaking slightly. "I'm going to miss you so much, Jovi. You're, like, the only thing keeping me sane."
"I'll miss you too," Jovi whispered, her throat tightening.
When they finally pulled apart, Jovi turned her attention to Ares, who leaned casually against the wall with his arms crossed. His usual smirk was noticeably absent, replaced with a sulky expression that almost made her laugh.
"So, you're just leaving, huh?" Ares asked, his tone light but laced with mock offence. "Who am I supposed to annoy now? The squirrel population?"
Jovi rolled her eyes, a soft laugh escaping despite herself. "I'm sure you'll find a way to keep busy, Ares. And don't pretend you won't still show up at the bunker to drive me and my dad crazy."
"Damn right I will," he said, his smirk creeping back. But then, as if dropping a mask, his expression softened. "It's going to suck without you, Winchester. Don't get too used to being away."
She smiled at him, her heart aching just a little more. "Thanks, Ares. For everything."
Finally, Jovi turned to Alex and Claire, the two girls standing side by side with matching somber expressions. They'd become like sisters to her, and the thought of leaving them behind hurt more than she'd expected.
"You two," Jovi began, her voice wavering slightly, "thanks for putting up with me and all my idiotic tendencies."
Claire rolled her eyes, though there was a hint of a smile on her lips. "Idiot is a strong word, but yeah, we've had to put up with a lot."
Alex nudged her. "You know we love you, Jovi. Just be careful, okay? We don't want to hear about you getting into any troubleโor, you know, starting another apocalypse."
Jovi snorted, though her eyes stung with tears. "I'll do my best."
Claire stepped forward, pulling Jovi into a quick hug. "Don't take too long to come back. This place won't be the same without you."
Alex joined the hug, squeezing Jovi tightly. "And don't forgetโif you need us, we're just a phone call away."
When they finally let her go, Jovi looked at all four of them, her chest tight with emotion. "I love you guys," she said, her voice thick. "I'll be back as soon as I can."
They all exchanged reluctant smiles, and as Jovi turned toward the door, she couldn't help but feel a mix of sadness and gratitude.
