𝑻𝒉𝒆 π’Šπ’Žπ’‘π’‚π’π’‚ π’ˆπ’“π’–π’Žπ’ƒπ’π’†π’… to a stop in front of Jody's house, and Jovi sighed, leaning back against the leather seat with her arms crossed like she was way too cool for this. Dean could feel her rolling her eyes without even looking. Typical. The kid was still on her "bad girl" streakβ€”like he hadn't invented that. But he knew deep down it wasn't about being rebellious, she just wasn't ready to say goodbye again.

Dean twisted in his seat to face Ares and Sam who'd been demoted to back seat as Jovi wanted to be passenger princess for once β€” mainly so she could play DJ, but also so she didn't have to sit next to Ares for the few hours journey back to Jody's. "Mind giving us a minute?"

Ares looked between them with slight annoyance, feeling like he was being left out β€” which he was. "love being left out. Great hunt guys, very nostalgic" he muttered grabbing his bag from between himself and Sam who sent him a look, nodding towards the door. Ares sighed dramatically climbing out of the impala alongside Sam, the two of them heading up towards Jody's door.

Dean turned to his daughter noticing her clenched jaw and the sadness in her eyes. "So," he said, making her briefly glance at him. "Just so you know, I'd much rather stay at the bunker a bit longer" she responded in a tone that made Dean sigh. "Look, kid, I get itβ€”you're all about causing chaos and looking good doing it. Trust me, I've been there. But you gotta pull it back a little. Last thing I want is you getting into real trouble, alright?"

She shrugged, still smirking, barely even listening, probably planning her next disaster. "Dad, relax. It's just school. They're lucky I'm even showing up at all, given the extra curricular they're forcing me into."

Dean gave her a look, somewhere between proud and exasperated. She was definitely his kid. "Hey, don't knock it till you try it. You might actually like cheer" Jovi scoffed looking up at the impalas ceiling "it'll be just as fun as shooting myself in the foot"

Dean rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well, do me a favor and try not to get kicked out before I can at least bring you something for your birthday," he said, voice softening just a bit. "I'll be back here in a couple weeks, I promise. Don't go causing some national crisis in the meantime."

Jovi looked over at him, grinning like a cat who'd just gotten away with something. "Alright, alright. Promise I'll be a total angel," she said with a little wink, clearly lying through her teeth.

Dean smirked, reaching over to mess up her hair. "Yeah, right. Just... don't blow anything else up, alright?"

She rolled her eyes but gave him a short hug, though to them it felt like hours. This parting was a lot better than their last one, this time Jovi didn't feel that pure anger that flared through her last time. This time she accepted it without arguing because she didn't feel abandoned. Dean pulled away first gently placing a gentle kiss to her forehead "I love you, okay? Don't forget that."

"Love you too, old man" she responded with a playful smile but deans eyes still narrowed on his daughter not enjoying being called 'old' especially in the way Jovi said it. "Hey, 37 isn't old"

Jovi sent him a tight lipped smile "keep telling yourself that"

"All right, get out of here" Dean told her which made Jovi laugh in amusement shooting one last look back at him, that devil-may-care glint in her eye. "See ya, dad. Don't get too boring without me."

Dean laughed, shaking his head as he fired up the Impala. "No promises, kid. Try not to burn down the place while I'm gone."

He watched as Jovi hopped out, strutting toward the house like she owned the place. Jody was waiting on the porch, watching the whole exchange with a grin that said she knew exactly what she was getting herself into as she pulled Jovi back into her arms. Dean sighed watching as she fell happily straight back into her new normality, it stung a little but he was happy she was finally safe.

Each step felt like a sick joke, a reminder of her "punishment" for the prank she'd pulled on Aria. They thought making her into a cheerleader was a punishment? Please. Jovi Winchester was made for trouble, not pom-poms and high kicks. But there it was, crammed in her bag like a bad decision β€” this badge of dishonor with sparkles and pleats. Principal Landry could've chosen anything, like detention or scrubbing the graffiti off the bathroom stalls, but no. Cheerleading. Maybe this was karma's little payback for that shaving cream bomb she'd left in Aria's locker.

Kat was trudging alongside her, giving her the side-eye, one brow raised so high it practically reached her hairline. "You're really dragging me down with you on this?"

Jovi threw a smirk her way. "Kat, you love me. And as my best friend, it's your sacred duty to suffer right alongside me. Besides, think of it like a live-action horror flick. You and me, Thelma and Louise in the cheer hellscapeβ€”except with glitter and, like, soul-crushing conformity and without the driving off a cliffβ€”though we might want to after."

Kat groaned, shooting her a look that screamed disbelief. "Me? Cheerleading? This is, like, against everything we stand for. I'm more of a 'sitting on the bleachers and mocking everyone' kinda girl. You know this."

"Hey, don't blame me. I'm doing you a favor hereβ€”think of it as penance," Jovi shrugged, still grinning. "Remember, I took the fall for everyone. Least you can do is suffer with me, babe."

Kat glared. "That's rich coming from the mastermind behind 'Operation Shaving Cream.' And where's your partner-in-crime, huh? I don't see Ares rocking any pom-poms."

"Oh, he's got his hands full chasing balls," Jovi deadpanned, shoving the gym door open. "Come on. Best friends go down together."

The gym was alive with the hum of chatter, sneakers squeaking against polished wood, and the faint smell of sweat from the earlier volleyball practice. But then came the high-pitched shriek of Coach Steele's whistle slicing through the air. Like some kind of vulture, every cheerleader in the room whipped their heads toward the door as if something wild had just walked in. Which, okay, maybe wasn't that far off.

"Winchester! Sertori!" Coach Steele's voice blasted out like a death sentence, every cheerleader in the room turned their heads toward the entrance, as if waiting for something to explode. "Well, well, well. Look who decided to grace us with their presence. Quickfire and Mermaid Girl."

Jovi shot a glance at Kat, her eyes wide. She hated that nickname β€” Quickfire. It wasn't exactly an endearing title, at least not when it came from Coach Steele.

Coach Steele stood in the center of the gym with her hands on her hips, a middle-aged woman with a permanent scowl etched into her face that made you wonder if she'd ever even heard of a good day. She was built like a tank, her short blonde hair barely moving as she marched toward them.

"This must be some kind of joke," Coach Steele said as she approached, eyeing the girls up and down. "I never thought I'd see the day when you two would be in my gym for something other than detention."

Jovi raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms in defiance. "Turns out, I've got school spirit. Who knew?"

Coach Steele narrowed her eyes, her lips pressing into a thin line. "Is that right, Quickfire? You've got school spirit?"

"Sure do," Jovi said, leaning into her sarcasm as Kat stood awkwardly beside her.

"Good," Coach Steele snapped. "Because you'll need every ounce of it. I don't tolerate slackers on my squad. You'll be doing drills until you puke."

Kat winced at the thought, already looking for an exit, but Jovi stood her ground, determined not to let coach get to her. As they moved into the gym, Jovi spotted the cheer squad stretching, their legs forming perfect splits on the mats as they giggled and whispered to one another. Aria, of course, sat front and center, her chocolate brown eyes locked onto Jovi like a predator eyeing its prey.

"Look what the wind blew in," Aria said, loud enough for everyone to hear. "Winchester, trying out for the cheer squad? How cute."

Jovi ignored the comment, walking over to an empty spot on the mats. She didn't have to look at Aria to know her highness was smirking, relishing in the fact that Jovi had been forced onto her turf. The fact that Aria was cheer captain made this whole punishment a hundred times worse. Like, if she could pick anyone on earth to steer clear of, Aria would be at the top of that list.

The cheerleaders were like a pack of wolves, and Aria was their alpha. She ruled the school with perfectly styled hair, flawless makeup, and a designer wardrobe that screamed 'I'm better than you.' Most people wouldn't dare cross her, but Jovi had never been one to follow the rules.

Kat sat beside her, looking like she was ready to bolt at the first opportunity. "I swear, Jovi, if I break a nail, I'm holding you personally responsible."

Jovi chuckled, shaking her head. "Come on, it'll be fun. We just have to survive this, and then we can get back to normal life."

"Fun?" Kat echoed, wide-eyed. "You and I have very different definitions of fun."

Coach Steele blew her whistle again, and the girls quickly formed into lines for warm-ups. Jovi's muscles screamed in protest as they started with high kicks, her legs barely cooperating as she tried to mimic the cheerleaders' flawless movements. Kat was faring no better, stumbling through the routine with a look of sheer panic on her face.

"Quickfire!" Coach Steele's voice boomed. "You call that a high kick? My grandmother can kick higher than that, and she's dead!"

Jovi bit back a retort, knowing that talking back would only make things worse. Kat, however, made the mistake of muttering "harsh" under her breath.

Big mistake. Coach Steele's sharp eyes snapped toward Kat. "Mermaid Girl! I didn't say you could speak. You think I'm here to make you comfortable?"

Kat gulped, quickly falling silent as they moved on to cartwheels and toe-touches. Jovi wasn't used to moving this way β€” her body wasn't made for cheerleading. Sure, she could run, jump, and even throw a solid punch if need be, but this was different. It was precise, elegant, and designed to be in perfect sync with the rest of the squad.

Aria watched from the sidelines, her lips twitching into a smile every time Jovi faltered. "Maybe you should stick to detention, Winchester. This clearly isn't your thing."

Jovi's hands curled into fists at her sides, but she didn't rise to the bait. She wasn't about to let Aria see her sweat, not in this lifetime. With a sharp breath, she threw herself back into the routine, determined to make it through without decking anyone.

The practice dragged on for what felt like hours, with Coach Steele barking orders and Aria tossing out insults at every opportunity. By the time they were finally allowed to leave, Jovi's legs felt like jelly, and her entire body ached from head to toe, Kat looked about two seconds from collapsing.

Kat slung her arm around Jovi's shoulders as they limped out of the gym. "I officially hate you," she muttered, eyes narrowed.

Jovi grinned, even though it was more of a grimace. "Wouldn't be the first time. And hey, we survived. Sort of."

"Barely," Kat shot back. "And if you everβ€”"

But Jovi didn't hear the rest because out by the cars, she spotted Blake leaning against the hood, his eyes gleaming like he was seeing something way too amusing.

"Winchester in a cheer uniform," Blake called as they got closer. "Never thought I'd live to see the day."

Jovi rolled her eyes, smirk tugging at her lips. "Don't get used to it. Just a temporary phase."

Blake chuckled, swaggering toward her, his gaze lingering in a way that made her smirk widen. "So, party after the game Friday night. You in?"

She cocked an eyebrow, tilting her head. "Depends. What's in it for me?"

Blake's grin spread. "Guess you'll have to show up and find out."

The flirtation was unmistakable, and despite the hellish practice, her mood lifted. Just maybe, Friday night was about to get interesting.

Kat elbowed her as Blake sauntered off. "You're totally going, aren't you?"

Jovi shrugged, smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "We're totally going." A grin pulled at Kat's lips.

For the first time that day, Jovi felt a thrill of excitement she couldn't shake. Maybe this whole cheerleading debacle had its upsides. And as for the rest, well... she'd take on Aria, Steele, and the entire squad. After all, she was Jovi Winchester.

𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 π’‡π’“π’Šπ’…π’‚π’š π’‡π’Šπ’π’‚π’π’π’š arrived Jovi didn't know what exactly she felt, excitement for sure but also dread because tonight she had to perform in her first official cheer routine in front of the whole school. She hated what a big deal her family had made of this, in the stands was not only Jody, Claire and Alex but her dad and Sam too. They wanted to be there for her first football game to show their support and give her some encouragement knowing that she'd been dreading it all week.

So here she was strutting across the field in her cheer uniform, feeling every bit of the fake confidence radiating off her. She was nervous as hell, she'd never danced before but here she was about to give it her all in front of all her peers β€” fake it till you make it, is what she kept telling herself. She wouldn't let everyone see the discomfort on her face if she could help it. Her white and red uniform hugged her frame, and her ponytail bounced as she walked, a sly smirk playing on her lips. She spotted her squad, who were doing last-minute stretches, she caught Kats eyes throwing her a wink as she adjusted her pom-poms.

As she got into position, she felt a presence beside her, and turned to see Blake β€” wide shoulders, messy hair, and a crooked smile that made her heart skip a beat. He had his helmet tucked under his arm, his football pads giving him a look that was somehow both dorky and undeniably hot. He shot her a smirk, one eyebrow cocked in that annoyingly perfect way of his.

"You ready to make us look good, Winchester?" he asked, his voice dripping with teasing confidence. "No pressure or anything, but the whole school's watching."

She tossed her ponytail and leaned in, giving him a flirty half-smile. "Please, Blake. I was born ready. Hope you can keep up with the show."

He laughed, shaking his head, and for a second, he looked her over, a glimmer of something more in his eyes. "Just make sure you don't get too distracted watching me, alright?" He stepped a little closer, his voice dropping to a murmur. "Good luck out there, Jovi. Knock 'em dead."

She gave him a mock salute. "Dead is my specialty." She winked. "Now go score us some points, Captain Charming."

With a grin, he jogged back toward his team, and Jovi spun on her heel, face set with determination as she joined the squad. The energy was electric, and her heart was pounding, but she'd never felt more alive.

As the music blasted through the speakers, the squad launched into their routine. Jovi moved with precision and confidence, every flip, jump, and cheer coming together flawlessly. The crowd was cheering, the lights were blinding, and she could feel the thrill of every eye on her. Her squad hit every beat, every cheer and twist perfectly, her confidence building with each move.

As the routine came to an end, Jovi hit the final pose, a mischievous smile lighting up her face as she caught Blake's eyes from across the field. He was grinning, giving her a quick thumbs-up before turning his focus back to the game. She looked up into the stands spotting her family cheering her on with wide proud smiles, she excitedly waved up at her dad grinning.

Dean felt his chest swell with pride. The cheerleaders moved off the field, but not before Jovi glanced over her shoulder and caught Dean's eye. She didn't break character, just gave him a subtle, confident smirk that said Yeah, I killed it.

Dean grinned back, his heart swelling. "That's my girl," he murmured to himself, clapping along with the rest of the crowd.

As she high-fived Kat, Jovi couldn't help but feel like she'd just won her own kind of victory. She'd killed it out there, and Blake had noticed β€” really noticed.

Maybe football wasn't her thing, but she could get used to this whole cheer routine if it meant moments like these.

As the final whistle blew and the crowd erupted in cheers, Jovi bounded off the field, a wide grin on her face as she spotted her family near the bleachers. She sprinted up to them, her ponytail bouncing as she laughed, cheeks flushed from the game and the thrill of performing.

Dean was the first to meet her, arms open wide as he pulled her into a bear hug. "You crushed it out there, kid!" he said, pride radiating from his voice. "Never seen a routine with that much attitude."

Jovi laughed, pulling back to punch his arm playfully. "Just gotta keep things interesting, right?"

Sam clapped her on the shoulder, grinning. "Seriously, Jo. You were great out there."

"Thanks, Uncle Sam." She beamed, practically glowing as Jody, Claire, and Alex joined in with their own congratulations, each of them taking turns hugging her and praising her for how well she'd done well except Claire who couldn't help but tease her "Hunter turned cheerleader, can't believe you've been normalised"

Jovi smirked sarcastically responding "you gotta admit I killed it though"

Claire rolled her eyes fighting back the smile that was making its way onto her lips "you were okay"

Jovi laughed as she glanced back toward the field where some of her teammates were gathering. Kat and Ares waved her over but she waved to a few of them, signaling she'd be there in a second. Just then, a group of her friends shouted her name, calling her over to join them. "Come on, Jovi! We're hitting up the after-party!"

She looked back at her dad, knowing exactly what was coming. His expression shifted from pride to that familiar, fatherly sternness as he folded his arms. "Alright, listen up," he started, giving her a pointed look. "Be sensible. Keep your phone on you, check in if things get weird, and don't even think about getting in a car with someone who's been drinking. Got it?"

Jovi rolled her eyes but smiled, nodding knowing he had her best interest at heart. "Got it, Dad. No car rides with drunk idiots, no disappearing acts, and yes, I'll keep my phone on me."

"Good," he
