Jovi strolled through the bunker halls looking for something to do or someone to annoy...the last few days Dean had barely left his room, he'd been rereading the same lore books over and over and doing research to try and find a way to remove the mark. As far as Jovi knew, he hadn't found anything they didn't already know. She'd been taking him food and even offering him a beer here and there to try and help as much as she could, she wanted to be around him so that he knew she wasn't afraid of him. Since Charlie had forgiven Dean, Jovi had put her anger towards him aside mainly because she knew the mark was causing this to happen to him plus he was her dad, her best friend, she couldn't stay mad at him forever

She wandered up to her dad's room munching on a bag of chips, she looked in the doorway spotting him on the floor leaning against his bed going through another book. She really wished they just find a way to remove the mark because seeing him willingly looking through all these books desperate for answers it hurt to watch. Jovi put on a fake smile as she sighed heavily entering the room "wow, books, you should try reading some fiction I heard fifty shades of grey is super fun" Jovi spoke teasingly as she flopped down onto his bed resting on her stomach looking over his shoulder at the book he was reading "if you're a mother over the age of 50"

Jovi giggled tilting her head to look at him "you're a dad over the age of 30 - practically the same thing" Dean turned to look at her deadpan which made her laugh, he snatched her food taking a handful which made her amusement quickly die "hey!" Dean smirked to himself looking back down at his book while Jovi kept reaching for her chips pouting in annoyance trying to snatch them back while her dad just kept them out of her reach. Sam appeared in the doorway smiling gently at the scene before he knocked on the door catching their attention "hey"

"Hey"

"Sup, Sammy" Jovi sent him a small wave laying on her back head hanging off of the side of the bed "caught a case" Sam said walking into the room offering his iPad for Dean to take "apparently something is taking people and leaving their clothes"

Jovi pulled a disgusted face

"Hmm. About time this gig got a R rating" Dean commented not looking up from the iPad screen, Jovi rolled her eyes sick of men all together "gross" she cringed her nose crinkling. Dean handed Sam the iPad back "why don't you check it out? I'll hold down the fort"

Sam glanced over at his niece who shrugged before he looked back at his brother "Dean, you haven't left the bunker in a week" Dean threw the iPad up onto the bed when Sam didn't reach for it "and?" Jovi shook her head looking at ceiling, her dad was starting to sound like her - a grumpy teenager who didn't want to leave her room "and you can't just live the rest of your life locked up in this room" Sam lectured him, Dean shrugged "I don't know, I got three hots and a cot, could be worse" Jovi couldn't argue with that logic, though she couldn't believe it wasn't her getting this lecture for once

"Look, I know you're worried about the mark-"

"Yes, Sam. I am. Between what I did to Charlie-"

"Charlie forgave you" Jovi spoke up sitting up, the girl took a minute blinking harshly as the blood rushed away from her head "yeah, how about you forgive yourself?" Sam added his tone much harsher than Jovi's had been. Dean looked away from Sam glaring at the wall in front of him "because I'm not exactly batting 1,000 here, you know?"

"Yeah, I do know that. But staying locked up in here, sitting on the ground. Reading the same lore books over and over and over again, it's not helping you. You need to get back in the game and your own good, you can beat this, Dean" Sam told him trying his best to get Dean back in the fighting spirit, but Dean glanced over his shoulder at Sam with a solemn expression "you really believe that?"

"Yeah, you're damn right I believe that"

"You know, you also believed in the Easter bunny till you were 12, even Jov told me it wasn't real at 8" Jovi giggled mockingly as she looked up at her uncle "12? Really? Let me guess you still thought the tooth fairy would leave you a dollar or two when you lost a pearly white?" Dean chuckled at her words Jovi sporting the same mischievous smirk that Sam had seen on his brother many times, Sam looked away from the duo with a clenched jaw before he looked back down at Dean "look, I was 11"

"And a half" Dean added which made his daughter laugh "and a half?" Jovi silently mimicked giggling once again "and a half, right" Sam sighed avoiding Jovi's eyes waiting until his niece stopped laughing at him, when she finally quietened down he looked at Dean "so?"

Dean looked around having a silent debate in his head before giving in "Okay".

They spoke to a homeless man who claimed he'd seen what had happened, the only thing they'd gotten from that was the guy smelt flowers and he thinks he was abducted by aliens...Jovi couldn't quite keep the smile off her face as the man spoke very passionately about his experience especially when she looked up at her dad and uncle who just wanted to walk away. After that the three agreed to split up, Dean going to check out the dive bar and speak to the locals while Jovi and Sam went to check out the missing man JP's place. They'd found out JP was three days from being evicted but other than that they had jack squat, which lead to them calling Dean who also had nothing helpful so they made their way back to the bar after Dean had hung up abruptly

The two entered the bar looking around for Dean not seeing him anywhere, Sam pulled his phone from his pocket dialing deans number. Jovi heard it come from the bar, she span around her eyes landing on the bartender who had her father's FBI grabbed  him to lie to her, Sam quickly followed after his niece. The bartender scoffed looking the teen up and down "my bar mitzvah. It was a magical night" he walked round the bar ignoring the girl when Sam clenched his jaw "yeah, I bet" he then grabbed the man's arm throwing his head onto the counter "why don't you try it again?" Sam hissed

"Dumpster. Found it by the dumpster" Jovi looked over at her uncle who nodded to her "all right" the two Winchesters headed out of the bar.

They walked round to the dumpsters, both holding flashlights. Sam walked towards the dumpsters while Jovi stood a few feet behind him shining her flashlight at her surroundings, she heard movement from one of the  dumpsters which caught her attention. While Sam was investigating in front of him Jovi was stalking off to find where the noise came from, she shone her light down to the corner of the dumpster finding an orange tabby cat. The girl gasped in excitement before kneeling down making noises to try and catch its attention, the cat turned to her before hissing swiping at her outstretched hand. Jovi quickly retracted her hand glaring at the animal "you're no Salem anyway" she told the animal like it was going to understand her before she walked back over to her uncle.

Salem was her first real pet, he was a black cat with bright green eyes. She'd found him in Bobbys junkyard while they were staying there after the car accident and johns death, she'd practically begged Dean to let her keep him - Dean didn't want the cat, at all. So he left it down to Bobby but the older man gave in the second 6 year old Jovi was at his side giving him her best puppy eyes, Bobby couldn't say no to Jovi Winchester, she was his weakness. Anyway, Salem went with them on majority of their hunts unless he stayed with Bobby on the odd occasion. It took Dean the longest to warm up to the animal, the two had an unspoken beef that always made Sam and Bobby laugh. But the animal unfortunately passed away when Dean and Jovi were in purgatory, he always thought it was because the cat had developed depression or something along those lines because Jovi wasn't around anymore - it wasn't like he was a young cat anyway, he was coming up to 11. But Sam had noticed the changes in his behaviour days before he passed, his girlfriend at the time told him it was old age but Sam knew better. Imagine the guilt he felt when Jovi came back from arriving a year in a place worse than hell only to find out her beloved companion had died and she wasn't there by his side to say goodbye, oh and add the fact Sam hadn't looked for either of his family members while they were fighting for their lives.

Jovi headed over to Sam who held a shoe in his hand, he then reached back under the dumpster finding a familiar gun "that's dads" Jovi spoke eyeing the weapon, Sam wiped the yellow dust from the handle before sniffing it "flowers" Jovi eyed him.

They were back at the motel now, Sam sat at the table with his laptop open researching flowers while Jovi sat on her bed writing in her journal her uncle had brought her. A knock on the door caught both Winchesters attention, Sam held a finger up to Jovi silently telling her to wait while he walked towards the door pulling his gun out. Jovi shut her journal turning to watch her uncle who looked through the peep hole in the door cocking his gun before opening it, there stood a boy around Jovi's age sporting a cap and clothes that seemed slightly big for him. Sam stared at him suspiciously "yeah?"

The boy smiled sarcastically "hiya, Sammy" Sam looked at him closer his face falling into realisation, jaw dropping "Dean?" Jovi stood from her bed with wide eyes spotting a very young version of her father walk into the room "yeah" Dean walked past Sam sending Jovi a smile before heading into the bathroom, his daughter looking at Sam with a stunned expression "what the hell?" She whispered while Dean exited the bathroom with a bag going over to the bed ignoring the looks both his family members were giving him

"Wait a second, Y-you're a-"

"Uh-huh"

"How?" Jovi asked still frozen on her spot beside the bed "no clue, some Scarface looking dude, bright light. Next thing I know, I wake up looking like Bieber" Dean said reloading his gun glancing at Sam and Jovi "why would someone turn you into-"

"Don't know, don't care. Hey, we got any grenades?"

Jovi raised a brow, the fuck did he want with grenades? "I'm sorry?" Jovi muttered in pure confusion she was still processing what she was seeing "wait, wait, wait, wait a second. Talk to us" Sam raised his voice as Dean went to head for the door Jovi grabbed her jacket walking after her father, it was sort of weird to call him dad when he looked her age. The whole situation was weirding her out "now Sam? really? I got no heads on the infield and a girls gonna die"

"TMI" Jovi cringed looking towards the window uncomfortable, Dean only continued his rant "sorry if I'm not on a chatty mood. Look, you wanted me back in the game, I'm back in the damn game. Come on" Jovi and Sam shared a look before following after Dean. They exited the room only to be stopped by older woman "you're son is so polite" she smiled at Sam, Jovi almost opened her mouth to mess with the woman a little bit but she decided against it knowing that it might freak her out so she remained silent "thanks?" Sam muttered before the two went after Dean who was at the door of the impala "where we heading?"

"Tell you on the way"

"Hey, hey, hey, Bieber. Kids ride in the back"Jovi said with a shit eating smirk, Dean sent her a glare "get in the damn car" Jovi laughed climbing into the back, Dean moved the front seat forward which squished Sam's legs up against the dash "okay, okay, hey, hey, hey. Wait, uh...maybe I should drive?"

Dean nodded at Sam moving the seat back to how it was, Jovi patted deans shoulder "give it another like 4 years and you can drive again"

"Shut up".

They drove back towards the place Dean had escaped from, he'd also explained what had happened to him "Cake. Why would they give you cake?" Sam questioned now behind the steering wheel of Baby, Jovi leaning over the front bench of seats between the two "sick bastards, can't believe they'd give their prisoners cake..." Jovi spoke sarcastically earning a side eye from her uncle which made her smirk "it wasn't even good cake, too dry" Dean responded Sam scoffed before he looked at Dean, looking him up and down still not over the fact Dean looked Jovi's age. Dean pulled a face, narrowing his eyes at his brother "what?"

"Nothing...okay, or nothing. Look, this is bizarre. Even for us, Dean. This is insane. You โ€” you're like โ€” what, you're like 14? How does that even feel?" Sam questioned while Jovi leaned back in her seat laughing quietly "well, I'm me. I'm โ€” I'm old me, but I'm a kid. It's freakin' weird, dude. And..." Dean paused he knew what he was about to say would trigger Jovi's inner child and he wasn't sure he wanted to admit his thought aloud, he'd been avoiding it for years. Said girl raised a brow "what?"

"There was a Taylor Swift song on the bus that I hopped to the motel and uh...I liked it, Sam, Jov. I liked it a lot" Dean finally admitted the words Jovi had waited years to hear, she squealed slapping the seat in front of her as she leaned forward "I frickin' knew it! I frickin' knew it! We are so listening to Taylor Swift on the way home" Dean sighed heavily glancing at his now excited daughter but Sam didn't look as amused "okay..."

"And my voice is weird, and I've got like nine zits and I've got zero control over this-" he gestured to his crotch making Jovi quickly cover her ears making noise to try and block him out not wanting to know anymore information "it's up, it's down. It's up for no reason-"

"that's enough, yeah thanks. Uh, let's just call it puberty" Sam cut him off also not wanting to hear anymore, Jovi slowly removing her hands looking between the two "yeah, which sucks. Again"

"Well, listen, I checked out the alley where you got jumped and I found the yarrow" Sam told Dean, Jovi sighed heavily "I just found a cat who didn't like me but whatever" Dean furrowed his brows looking at his daughter confused as to what exactly goes through her mind sometimes but he shrugged it off "which means what?"

"Means we're probably dealing with a witch, yarrows a flower. They use it in a ton of spells"

Witches wasn't Jovi's favourite thing to deal with, she just hated how selfish they were and why did a rabbit always have to get screwed in the process? The poor things.

"Okay" Dean breathed out nodding "we still got some of that witch killing crap in the trunk?" He asked looking at Sam "hell yeah. So, we'll get you changed back and then light Sabrina's ass up" Jovi eyes her uncle "I like Sabrina" Sam glanced up at her in the rear view mirror catching her glare "you pick a witch then"

"Fine, Elphaba" Sam pulled a confused face "who?"

"Wicked witch of the west, wizard of Oz"

"Okay whatever" Sam glanced at Dean who'd been quiet, Dean sensed Sam's eyes on him making him sigh "uh, yeah about that. It turns out, this whole freak show has an upside" he lifted his jacket arm revealing his scar free arm "the mark is gone"

"How?"

"Well, I figure if this hoodoo slammed me back in for he body I had when I was 14โ€“"

"You didn't have the mark then" Jovi finished for him realising what he was getting at, Dean pointed at her "yeah, and if we reverse the spell..."

"It's gonna come back"

"That's what I'm thinking, so...maybe we don't"

Jovi's face fell as she sat up eyes staring at the back of her father's head in disbelief "are you joking?" Dean turned to face her "no, I'm not" Jovi scoffed shaking her head "you do realise that you're currently younger than me, right? You can't be my dad and be the same age as me, t-that's just weird. It doesn't work"

"I don't want to stay like this okay? But if it's between being a psycho rage monster/ borderline demon or a teenager well..." Dean scoffed shrugging his shoulders, Jovi clenched her jaw looking out of the window. There had to be another way, yes he hadn't got the mark now but what happens when he reached his thirties again and the mark comes back? That'll just be delaying the inevitable "really?" Sam questioned, Dean sighed "look, I'm not a fan either but..." Dean turned so he could look between his daughter and brother "Sam, Jovi. This is problem solved and I'm still me. I can still hunt, I'm just, you know...dewier"

"Okay, look, you have a point, kind of but dude..."

"I know...some good news though, virgin liver" Dean grinned looking at Sam happily, Jovi rolled her eyes not finding this as funny. Not anymore anyway "so, what do you say when we're done doing our hero thing we take her for a test drive"

Jovi leaned forward "hm, I think you're forgetting you can drink again in what? Seven years?" She grinned now finding this small detail entertaining, Dean turned looking at her with a serious expression "that's not funny"

Jovi tilted her head "eh it kind of is"

"It's not funny"

"Oh, come on, man. It's kind of funny".

They approached an old fairytale looking house in the middle of the woods, lights were on in the downstairs windows, it reminded her of something out of one of her old fairytale books that her dad would read to her. Jovi clutched her gun between her hands following her dad with Sam behind her "looks like someone's home" Sam commented, Jovi held back the sarcastic remark that almost escaped her lips "okay, let's go in through the basement. Get Tina out first"

"all right".

Dean lead them round the house and to a window that was at eye level with the ground, Dean jumped down to the pocket where the window was half hidden, Jovi crouched beside him. Dean pushed the window finding it still open "it's still open"

"Well what are you waiting for?" Jovi questioned him raising a brow, he sent her a look before lifting the window looking inside the room he was trapped in "Tina?" He whispered his eyes on the small whole in the wooden wall that he'd spoken to the girl through but she didn't appear of answer him. Dean jumped back up beside Jovi looking to Sam "okay, let's go"

Sam raised his brows looking at the gap in the bars on the window "Dean, I'm way too big to fit in that" Dean smirked to himself "first time you ever had to say that, huh?

"Jesus Christ" Jovi muttered running a hand down her face in frustration "big talk coming from the dude wearing underoos" Sam responded with narrowed in annoyance, Jovi giggled while Dean went to respond but closed his mouth "okay, good one. Here, why don't you go around back for another way in? Jov, with me" Dean held the window open for Jovi who climbed down putting her legs through the gap pulling herself through before landing on a box. She jumped down letting Dean follow her inside, they both held their guns stepping outside of the cell strolling into the next cell where Tina
